      Thanks for the comments! :D This U4C has 4 channels and can do up to 8. You pair 1 channel to 2 cylinders. dropbear from my understanding has 8 so you should be able to do a v12 with a drop, but v04 boards like the one the u4 is based on have 4 channels. more info in link wiki.speeduino.com/en/boards/Dropbear

    how good is this opensource ecu, can it run say a honda k24 in a bmw canbus? love the eurobeat!

    • @aftereartharcade
      @aftereartharcade Місяць тому

      Well I can't say how good it is vs other ecus, but you will have options on how you want to run the K24. Depending on how you want to set up the spark and what kind of injectors you are running. This U4AC has 4 channels for spark so you can run each cylinder, but for 6+ you need to set up the spark in pairs. wiki.speeduino.com/en/wiring/Injector_wiring. The big thing here imo is you can us MAP to get your fuel tables and thus adjust for boost levels. A speeduino does the same thing as a megasqurit or something but for less. As for the BMW canbus thing. I'm not exactly sure. From my understanding canbus is a protocol bmw seams to have some of its own other protocols too. medium.com/@chairface/talking-to-your-bmw-tapping-into-a-cars-communication-bus-4adff7ac640d It doesnt seam like the canbus is fully implemented for broadcasting functions for the speeduino yet. So ide image you would need to do some custom things if you are trying to control things over can with this ecu, or if i was you i would join the forums and ask there.

    Bruh, WD-40 is a lubricant, a big NO in breaks world. You need a break cleaner and only break cleaner to remove the grease and oils which come from factory to protect rusting of the discs (rotors) on the shelf. Also, you need to address that torn rubber asap, as soon as you get dirt and water in those joints, they will behave like sanding paper inside of them, completely destroying those CV joints.

      Yes! The U4 can run up to 8 cylinders. They also make a plug and play called a dropbear. speeduino.com/shop/home/38-speeduino-dropbear.html

      Thanks for the feedback. I love euro beat so it was surprising to me so many people didn't like the music. I get it though to each there own. Being fun and informative is my goal so im sad my style prevented you from learning. To break it down in text. I got my components from wtmtronics. You will need a speeduino, and Arduino with a 16u interface, a if you dont get a U4C speeduino you need a stepper driver for the tps, and if you dont have HAL crank and cam signals youll have VR ones so you need a 2 channel VR conditioner. speeduino.com/home/ wtmtronics.com/ This is the relivent info in the vidoe.

    I have to say, interrupting yourself with music to freeze frame and circle something is really funny. Please keep doing it!

    Bro, i was so put off by this that i was like wtf is an ecu¿ I’m a whole mechanic. U just don’t expect an arduino to be an ecu. What even funny is I thought about doing this once and still didn’t make the connection. Very cool

    that music was horrible and speed thru the end. I would have like to see a walk through of the board and items not just an unbox and "here it is" video. would have like to see it put together, and running an engine and how to set it up.

      Thanks for your feedback. I'm creating this series to do just that. This was the second video of what parts you will need, and the parts i got to give people and understanding of what they will need to get started. In the next video we will assemble the ECU. The goal will be to go over each component, and how to wire it. We will be running a v6 vg30det, from a Z31. This is a long form project and doing it in small chuks makes it more manageable for me. I understand that waiting and short, component baised maybe not what you are looking for, but once the series is completed I feel it will be easier to watch in chucks and people can skip to the part of the process they want to see. My biggest goal here is to just get the word out more about the Speeduino. Again your feedback is much appreciated. Maybe my future videos will be more what you are after.

    Here are the Hardware Requirements. It details the 16u2 and the VR crank/cam wiki.speeduino.com/en/Hardware_requirements
