As someone who got to see Larry play in person. It was mind blowing the things he did. He commanded the court but he was not a selfish player. He knew that it takes a team to win .... one person alone does not win a Championship. Larry only played to Win...not pad his stats but to Win. That is one of the reasons he is called Larry Legend!

I Mean Bird Got 60-Points In A Regular Time Game<>No Overtime's. I Think It Took Someone On The Celtics Until 2022 To Match Bird Getting 60-Points, And I'm Not Sure If That Didn't Take That Player & Overtime To Do It?

There were a lot of factors that led to Jordan's fame and success. The 90s, the Air Jordan brand, 6 titles, the Dream Team... But more then anything, he dominated the game. No one questioned that he was the best. He ruled thru fear. If you crossed him, or challenged him, he made you pay, on national television, for all the world to see. Sports Illustrated, the world's best selling periodical before the internet, ran a cover story that maybe his dominance wasn't so good. Because nobody had ever seen anything like it...

I've seen this documentary like 10 times now. And it still brings tears to my eyes at parts. It's just a beautiful human story, beyond basketball. Everything about them both, their connection, their differences, the rivalry, the friendship, you can't make this stuff up.

I think you're talking about the HBO show, Winning Time. It's focused on the Lakers mostly and of course Larry and the Celtics are a part of it. But I think it would have been a better show if it was more focused on this rivalry between Bird and Magic. Also, I can't get enough of the white dude who is talking about not wanting to see black players. I wonder what he thinks of that comment now and being immortalized in this video? At least he was honest.

Little did he know that the events that would transpire that night would have major implications for the rest of the Celtics' season. While the Celtics took care of business dispatching the Sixers in five games, Bird struggled mightily the last two games. He went from averaging 28.33 PPG on 48.8% from the field to averaging only 15.5 PPG on 30% shooting. At the time, no reports were made from the Celtics of Bird's hand injury. Reporters present during their morning shootaround did claim his hand was swollen nearly double the size of his first knuckle. But Larry only let the team know. He didn't want excuses. That game he made 19 points and made a great block. They were hard shots too. He had a thumb that was broken in three places from one of the games he played to get there. You never hear him make excuses. There is a video about the games he played that led up to that game with Magic.

In the Dreamteam video, it goes farther with their friendship. Larry went to be with Magic during his hard times. They are bonded forever.

One advice, do things your way! You will never please everybody! And don't give in to the ones, who will try to force you to do sth. Some people won't like what you like. Others will like it. You will never reach all of them and it is not necessary! There are 8 billion people on this plant, if you reach only 1/8 of them, you will still be the biggest channel on YT! 😉😂 What I try to say, do what makes you happy and the right people will stay.
