Dear Mr.rick, Sorry for the delayed reply. Thank you. I worked with sand soil with internal angle of friction ranges from 30 to 38 deg. Didnt work on Clay soil. Soil with less internal angle of friction (say, 27 deg - loose soil) will have lesser stress value compared to the soil with higher angle of friction (Say , 40 deg). Internal angle of friction for the Clay soil is 0 deg. Stresses on the buried pipeline depends on the various factors like pipeline routing / Bend radius / Bend Angle / Coefficient of friction / Buried cover depth / Soil density.
