My return to the #Balanta People of Guinea Bissau; "Those who resist remain."
In April 2021 I had the opportunity to return to my maternal roots via a welcoming home ceremony in the #Balanta village of Gà Tone. Thanks to #africanancestry.com; Dr Gina Paige, and Dr. Rick Kitties. Special thanks to Randy Williams aka Catio Bissau.

Where you got that name kofi from because is not balanta name.or did your parents name you after someone
Good to know
I love that bro. I really really do love that. True love, no fear of any police sh**ting you or jailing you just bc of your skin color. 🥰
Sorry, but I am from here born and raised and I can tell you that most of the population here feels very afraid of the police, maybe not exactly because of skin colour, and sometimes they will even be the one robbing your house at night.
Very beautiful
Thank you
