Why have I never seen this before? Great story. Found by accident, only because Joe Penny was in the thumbnail pic. Rod Serling would've enjoyed this think. Imaginative & best of all...the ending was ironic & just perfect.(wonder if that really was Joe Penny at the piano.)
At the end, Micky O' Shaughnessy mentioned Gershwin, (George Gershwin) who only lived to 38, was a popular music composer whose song,"Someone to Watch Over You," Ricky is played to bring him back the Shamrock Club. Fun fact: The song Ricky played was composed in 1926, not '28. S'Wonderful was composed in 1927. Beautifully written and historically accurate TWZ episode and one og the first I remember from the overlooked series remake.
Now that's a Twilight Zone. Doesn't compare to the original series but sure beats every friggin episode of that new garbage reboot they call The Twilight Zone.
He's fine? with absolutely no money, no friends from that era, no identification? no nothing? about to enter WW2? Sorry but this seems like a bad ending rather than a happy one. And also a little sloppoily written, it would have been cool to see how the other guy got on in the joint
He’ll make money as a professional pianist; you can make friends anytime, anywhere (if you’ve ever moved, you know this). Identification? Many people still didn’t drive (so no driver’s license,) and the social security program didn’t exist yet. Heck, back then my grandfather didn’t have a birth certificate and no one cared.
Joe Penny is gorgeous. I saw him once at a diner in the valley!
骷髏頭?
The old good
Royal Hong kong Police 👍👍💪💪🤝🤝
还是比较怀念文明时期的香港人
現在改成和解放軍一樣了
If I was him I wouldn’t touch a piano the rest of my life.
This is one of my favorite newer twilight zone episodes
I would love to have a full-length recording. Of “‘SWonderful” as played by the character of Mickey Shanessey!
shaughnessy* but agreed even if someone else did the playing
Frost did commit that murder. He's going to kill Mickey's girlfriend now for what she did to Eddie.
Love Joe Penny...I would love to go back to the 80s and stay there!❤

Guys would i be correct in saying that this (my all time fave episode) was inspired by the classic Stop at Willoughby?

Anatole
Buen actor Joe Penny

I liked some 00s episodes, haven’t seen the newest series though
@@Cassxowary Don't bother. It's total garbage. Only one decent episode in the second season.
好齊!
“Over there! Over there!” Man, I love that song! And I love this episode. Great acting. Handsome cast, too.

It's called magical realism. You're suppose to suspend belief from reality.
Troy Wright world war two, that was still 10 years away, you mean the great depression, the following year...
7:54, is that swearing in a twilight zone episode?
this version of maple leaf rag at the start is very pleasing to my ears. slowly, with that echo. i really enjoy that echo.
Troy Wright that’s a beauty of old pianos, they don’t make em like that anymore...
I love Joe penny he is so sexy and I just loved this episode
Dony Demorizi. Who are you?
DepressedDoge. So what? And what significance does this have?
They got the ww1 uniforms right .
