[MHW:IB | PC] Dawn of the Death Star (Alatreon) - SnS 3'48"98 TA Wiki
I got this run back in June (6/8 to be exact), and it has been unlisted until now.
This run had been unlisted because it was ugly. I wanted to get a cleaner and a faster run than this (sub 3'40, maybe even sub 3'30). However, as it turns out, when you are focusing on two things at the same time, you will not be getting very far on either things. Rest assured I will be getting a better run than this, but that might come very, very late.
Shout out to Harper for teaching me on how to Alatreon (This guy already has a 3'34. Who's the real monster here?)

This run had potential to be sub 4'35 or even sub 4'30 (if it didn't charge at me during one of the claggers) when it's all said and done. Unfortunately, some things never change. In this case, me making stupid mistakes. I didn't particularly grind for it. Basically just applying my TA Wiki experience into heroics. RNG was decent, but I can still be faster given that I didn't drop the rocks and I missed the final PR hit when it's stunned. Just a pb after neglecting this weapon for so long. Felt like I made more mistakes this run than the 8'40 one. Still slower than the world record by more than a minute. I will probably aim for a sub 8 to cap things off with this weapon.

Got a better and way faster run (ua-cam.com/video/Lgz3qt2ECkk/v-deo.html). Started soloing with SnS on 5/29/2021. I'm pretty satisfied with this result after 6 days. Took me about 300 resets when its all said and done. Though I could have shaved 20 seconds off in area 2 if I had calculated the head damage correctly, I couldn't ask for more.

Imagine being hyped up as this legendary, dangerous, destructive, calamitous, awesome powerful dragon of legend, only for a guy with a knife to come swooping in, get hit by you on purpose, and dodge literally every other attack you dish out, and kill you within 8 minutes.

What is that bar next to sharpness
Frostcraft gauge. It lets to do extra damage when the gauge is full. You can obtain this skill by wearing 4 piece velkhana armor.

Being looking at some runs on this quests & I never knew that SnS has such damage potential, amazing job
About the backstep, How are you always activating? Im trynna practice but idk how it sometimes it use shield and attack backward normal slash
That's the fun part about SnS. The back hop is very difficult to initiate from a stand still. It takes a lot of practice to successfully do it without doing guard slash (the move you described). My only advice here is to make sure you do guard -> back direction input -> heavy attack in order I was in your same shoes when I first started learning SnS. There's really no short cut besides doing the movement over and over again. Sometimes I still use guard slash by accident.

4113 on the first perfect rush is crazy especially when you know that fatalis has 66,000 so you did 6% of its health with just one perfect rush or you basically need to do that perfect rush 17 times to kill it

It depends on the monster and which weapon you like. There is no better or worse weapon. I simply prefer SnS over lance and GL.

is that AI manipulation or why does fatalis almost only his whide fire breath attatck ? or how many runs you attempt to get this one here ?since monster AI is still random and have multiple outcomes
It's AI manipulation for the wide fire breath attack. It took me about 300 attempts or so to get this run since all you need to do is AI manipulation for the first stage.

@@BRS_Stella It's Fatalis. Even in TA wiki rules or a "normal" run like you described, you still need to do this. I would recommend you to not speed run Fatalis since this monster is clearly not suited for your play style.

I slayed fatalis with nothing but sword and shield the best armor in game which I belive is Fatalis's armor and a bunch of skills that do damage and help with damage and mega demon drug times like 2

U could also just do the effect that allows after faint to keep you at empty health when the damage surpasses the threshold.

After spending a lot of time in Sunbreak I was thinking about returning to World and play a little SnS there. I thought, well maybe look at a speedrun against a strong monster, cause I always found them to be motivating, found this video clicked on it, saw the fight starting with the Glutch Claw (of course) and then decided: nah I don't want to go back to World. Still great run, very well done.

That's the perfect rush combo. The way to do that is the same as the back hop combo, except you press the light attack after you're in the back hop. If you don't know how to perform the back hop, you can go to the training area. The easiest way to perform is to with your weapon drawn, roll and press heavy attack to initiate the back hop. However, the most common way is to press guard -> directional backward -> heavy attack (this 3 moves has to be done almost simultaneously). This is a pretty hard combo to master, so don't feel discouraged when you can't do it in the beginning.
