A Timeline of The Nets CONTROVERSIAL 2022-23 Season
Here's my lukewarm take: Doc Rivers is a decent to good coach, but not a great one - and certainly far from a top 15 all time one. I fully understand why the NBA media wants him to be a top 15 all time coach, though: He is a current coach, is black, is a good locker room guy (so many present and former players like him) and he did quite a bit for the NBA "culture" (if you will) when the whole Donald Sterling thing happened.
imagine if ben Simmons made that layup
Now why the hell was Blake number 91 on the Celtics🤣
thank you Mr. Court
Blake griffin is the player of all time
Bruh the fan mixes with dubstep are the ones I avoid but there are many of those highlights of players back on the 2010s. Damn im getting old lol. Im going to attend college at that time.
Love the title
Doc Rivers is a Coach who raises the floor but lowers the ceiling, he can motivate a team with low or no expectations; to play really well, but he can't turn a contender or fringe contender into a Champion...
wow these suck lmao. if you want to modernize it then make it look modern and sleek and cool. these just look like shit.
and why don't the bulls have any jerseys with the bull on it. literally asking for it
The Nuggets winning 50 games and earning the 8th seed is absolutely bananas
Played like dog shit the whole playoffs 😂
He’s only 215 at 6”8 that too big shit is comical
Closer to 6’10
He shot better as a second option. As a first option he's worked on controlling the offense and his shooting numbers slipped while everything else went up. Seems like working his efficient shooting back up while maintaining his increased rebounds and assists is the key to his game now.
A PG who can shoot will always be better than one who can't. If the opposing players know a PG can't shoot, they know he will pass. This makes an offensense predictable.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY JASON TATUM IS A NOT A SUPERSTAR PLAYER IMO💯TATUM IS A GREAT PLAYER & I HAVE HIM IN MY TOP 10-15 IN THE LEAGUE RN BUT HE IS NOT THE SUPERSTAR "FACE OF THE NBA" CALIBER PLAYER THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE MAKE HIM OUT TO BE💯
If you look at his jump shot you can see a slight thumb flick if you compare that to his jump shot in 2020 if you see a difference then there is a difference
its gonna be bam
JT BIG TRASH
Just like Steph the got bigger the jump shot fell off wen they were more slim they made more jumpshots
He got too big, he’s too strong and now the ball feels like a tennis ball. Hard to shoot when it’s too light. Same thing with Lebron. Never had a solid jumper
lebron at his 2 bulkiest points miami and now shot 40%
He’s had a wrist injury that he never had surgery for.
his shooting was always overrated ...
nah, he'll bounce back
I love how this went from a "theory" video to #3 being an "excuse" from the fans rather than another "theory" 🤦🏿♂️
Tatum is around 6”9” he need to stop trying to be like 24 and go the rim and stop being shy of contact.
You took his playoff stretch this year. He also played more minutes, and during this season during the playoffs this season he averaged more rebounding, more assists, more steals, and more blocks, and only one less point on average. He also played 40 minutes a game, where as during the regular season he played 35, and had two less assists a game, one less rebound a game, and lower steal and block numbers.
Thumbnail is already a big L. Great bait.
I thought you wouldv'e given an actual answer. What tf was this?
The only one who knows the real reason is Tatum himself lol go ask him
@@riikyricardo Tell that to the mf who made this video.
I love how u broke down everything just for the answer to be...its all in his head
Saying Tatum has the yipes is beyond dumb wow if his mechanics took a dive from the playoffs to the regular season like you pointed out than sure but like you said he was fine in the regular season (not saying his mechanics are pretty) Fultz yipes 100% not a debate, anyone that knows basketball knows that left to right misses make a bad shooter most of Tatum misses are because he’s short or long which you can’t even look into deeply like that If you ask me Tatums game just to indecisive he doesn’t have any go to moves or go to spots where he just eats like a lot of the greats whenever he tries to iso he over dribbles to get a rythm going to create momentum to help him go down hill or get into his shot and a lot of the times when he can’t do that he struggles that’s just who he is 🤷 Tatum should embrace melo’s game body people in the triple threat and work of that I think he’d be great if he operated like that the over dribbling is what’s killing hjm
Too much step back 3s. The refs doesn’t call his foul baiting as much in playoffs. This is coming from celtics fan
That side step 3 and bad shot selection is what did it. And you can argue that he takes way too much 3’s. If he chooses to get to the rim more and shoot more mid ranges, then he would be a much more efficient scorer. He makes the game harder for himself just to look good. That’s what I see.
His mid range is so brutal as well tho, like when I see a Tatum fadeaway it makes me cringe so hard. I think he needs to embrace a spot up 3 more, as well as work as a more kd like scorer, as in midrange pull-ups off of dribble
There is no such thing as too many 3s on Celtics. 😂
@@Frank-nz1wrKD got cooked by Tatum for the last 4 years 😂
Moment of truth - gang starr
He was shooting on fire in the 2nd half up until April. Also i think his shot selection needs to improve. Take more rhythm shots instead of side steps.
Fact people are no noticing that tatum is falling off
If u call falling off being the only American to be first team all nba ok 😂😂😂
I think the biggest reason is that i feel like he’s always been a streaky shooter. So when his usage rate goes down or he’s asked to facilitate more, he’s not able to get into the right rhythm. This will also hurt his confidence over time too. They didn’t even give him a real chance in the Olympics either, like wtf was Kerr thinking? Starting a guy who dnp the game before???? Obviously that f’s with a guy’s confidence
Curry bron KD tf u tripping on? They didn’t walk on the court with canes they were clearly cooking
@@thisaintartfoh bro there’s no reason jt couldn’t start or play a meaningful role im tired of this bs narrative it didn’t have shit to do with them 3 it had everything to do with kerr
The actual reason: If they want him to score, that is when he is really good at shooting. If they want him to facilitate, then he shoots poorly. This is the next thing he should work on. Getting 8+ assists per game while shooting 37%+ on threes.
@@mrpogz i wish it was that simple. But if he can get his shot back to where it was a few years ago with his recently developed playmaking, the league might be in trouble
Tatum has that twitch when he’s about to go up and shoot. It’s a bit like 2 motion shot but stops half way from the follow through, I think he needs fix that up and make it smoother. I’ve had that same issue in process of changing my jumpshot so I create that twitch of shooting up but it’s not smooth so I’m working on that issue as well and hopefully Tatum is working on that too bcuz he can be so much better. And the hate for him is too much
You're 100000% Right. Anyone who watches him sees that he thinks too much. He thinks because they taught him to always pass to the open man when he draws two defenders. He's done the same thing on team USA. When he learns how to play without thinking he'll be fine, I just don't think he will ever learn how. Ppl have to remember that the Celtics changed JT's entire game. He was supposed to be a finesse mid range player but they turned him into a modern-day three point shooting and dunking player. Now anytime he's not shooting open threes, driving to open dunks, or passing to the wide open player after drawing two defenders, he looks out of wack. He has no go-to move, although I'm seeing him learn the fade, because of the training. For example, look at James Harden. James used to have a mid-range step back. Now he just scores a bunch of points yet gets L's in the playoffs because he's basically a 2k player.
He’s been grabbing his wrist in pain after shooting so I assume it’s to do with needing that surgery
Did u even watch the video bruh?
@ryanjung4416 what he said still stands as Tatum does hold that left wrist of his after shooting some shots even just this last year
Shot 38% this year clickbait as thumbnail
28% From 3 in the playoffs
He will get his shot back and will be unstoppable.
He just needs to attack the basket more you can tell he puts on muscle every season
Wish this could be true
It's a set shot that they're trying to modify into a jumpshot. Theoretically they could, if they could make it one motion. But the actual positioning of the hands is what's causing the hitch.
I think it’s just a confidence issue
Its his wrist it needs surgery
It’s a bad comparison on the thumbnail since you compare the 2020 regular season to the 2024 playoffs
Yea. I definitely agree he’s regressed as a shooter, but he shot 37% in the regular season so it’s not like he regressed to Westbrook or something 😭.
@@drich008 it’s hard to say he regressed tho. Since he attempts like 4 more 3s per game now then in 2020
fr, he wasn't shooting as good in the playoffs, but that doesn't mean he regressed as a player. He shot 38% from 3 in the regular season, which is still above average.
its nba youtube what do you expect lol
@@BlueViper-c8b crocs?
Kobe just didn't have it anymore. He came back too soon after his achilles . He could no longer shoot or get to the basket.
He had way too many mileage on him to ever return to his normal self.
@jasonquinlan1733 I don't think it was necessarily the mileage. LeBron has even more mileage and has barely lost his step. It was his injuries, especially the Achilles. No athlete is ever the same after that injury. It's usually a career ender. I knew the minute he did it was the Achilles and we were looking at the end of Kobes career at the top of his game. He probably could have became a role player but that wasn't kobe so he retired earlier than I think he expected. He wanted to break Kareems record
Having the last call beat as the background music for this video is amazing
He is going to shoot 41.1% on 5.7 attempts per game
As a Celtics fan, I hope you’re right. We’ll circle back to this comment in April
I sure hope so, I’m glad he was 37% last year, improvement from the 35% the 2 previous seasons
@@cahillscourthe hurt his wrist in the 2022 2nd round game 3 vs the bucks when he dunked on Giannis and even Marcus smart talked abt JT wrist being hurt on a fairly recent podcast but jt refused surgery for it
Honestly I really hope he shoots only 6.5 and below attempts on three for 2 reasons. 1) his efficiency and confidence most definitely will go up if he wasn't forcing outside jumpers like he is now. And 2) I think he also realized this himself that he is way too good and virtually unstoppable at attacking the ring in such a way that no other forward aside from anomalies like Giannis does better than him.
We can only hope that with the Celtics winning the chip this year that Tatum can feel less pressure on him to win and play with more confidence. He can’t continue to shoot like this if he wants to continue to compete at a high level and maintain a superstar status.
bro may i´m stupid but i think this put more pressure on tatum, because him need get back to back Championship and get final´s MVP to shut up everyone besides celtics fan of course
@@sun-lion9694 True, I think Tatum has the best chance to repeat with this team and put on a better performance to solidify his status better. We seem to be in an era of parity, so I’d hope that we don’t take this for granted and set too high of expectations. Only time will tell tho…
Age will also make him more comfortable
100% from three With only 4 shots
Imagine being touted as the man of ur city. Highest paid, no1 option, etc. that’s gonna come with haters, that’s normal. Every athlete deals with it at his level. I think what’s getting to him is being knocked of the pedestal he was placed on this last playoff run. Jaylen brown showed up when he didn’t. Jb won both ecf MVP and finals mvp. Jb was the first option. Jb was the man. And after being the man for so long, seeing someone else take it from u in the span of a couple months DEFINITELY hurts. No doubt about it. The icing on the cake (ik this happened after but still good to note) was him being taken into team USA this summer without jb and then getting sidelined the whole time with guys like Halliburton. No shade to Hali but again, when u been the man for so long in ur city. Sitting on the bench with a new rising star DEFINITELY hurts egos.
Tatum is the first option.
JT was better than JB in the ecf tho lol
I don’t think Tatum cares about if brown won the awards lol , Tatum was the first option, the on off numbers was severely in Tatum’s favor
Instead of Batman and Robin the two showed us it’s more like Captain America and Iron Man. I hope when it’s all said and done they’ll be regarded in the same tier of duos as kobe and shaq.
JB only once in the playoffs has genuinely been the number 1 and that was game 7 vs Miami last yr where he turned it over 8 times lol
