The unluckiest man in showbiz? He’s had opportunities most people only dream of yet few know of him. Eccentric musical genius, singer songwriter and troubadour who has written and performed with the greatest, reflects as his 70th birthday celebration looms - still playing the clubs to pay his rent and looking to kick-start his career. Featuring: Earl Okin, Helen Shapiro, Ralph McTell, James Tor...

Loved the trio with Liam Genockey [Steeleye Span ].he plays the drums like a boron Cypress Grove was a favourite .Today it would be interesting for Bob Dylan to do a collaboration ?
what a depressing idea, earl you got to get laid.
oh i love this so much. After John Lennon's Jealous Guy this is the most beautiful song i have ever heard and I cried when Tom performed it at the Holt Festival.
I really really enjoyed this start to finish! Thank you.
Man hearing him talk about what love is to him hurts. I think the love he describes doesn't really exist. I used to look for that but currently in a relationship with someone who I am close with but it isn't that kind of love. Which also brought me a lot of doubts about what love is. Especially if you are so full on in your hobbies it's easy to just let go and carry on with your timeless things. Giving into emotion is fun and makes life worth living but also hurts a lot.
Thanks for the extended clip. love it. I really want to see the whole thing, any plans for release?
Please check out 'Yesterday's Wine'. Saw Earl perform it last year and it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Loved it, instantly! 🎶❤️
❤❤ je l'aime Tom Baxter
I have just moved to Rye full time. Hoping to see Roger soon...
Thank you Earl, we really enjoyed hearing you play and sing at Ronnie Scott’s. Such a special day for us and one we will always remember.
This is a delight. I think so highly of Earl Okin. I really enjoy his music.
recently discovered Tom (on a Spotify afternoon) why have i not heard if him until now? Is he still doing his thing?

The way Earl speaks of his Parent’s love is wonderful, but makes you sad he never found it himself.
I saw Earl play several times at the Kashmir Klub in Marylebone in the late 1990s. He had the place in hysterics every time. Never heard of him again... and here he is 25 years later. So glad he has been able to make a living. Looking forward to the film.
Found this because I was searching for a recent James Torme video. Amused to note via Wikipedia that Earl (who I will research further) was born in the town (now London suburb) I have lived in for 29 years. I hardly know anyone who appreciates James - clearly I don't know the right people!
Excellent documentary on Roger Hubbard as one of the great blues personalities of England who is not known as a celebrity. I suppose Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Rory Block would respectfully agree...I am deeply impressed by Roger's frankness and honesty in his interviews...
What a brilliant little film!!!.....loved this, Roger is amazing 🌼⭐💙💜💥
I'd love to see the whole of this. Did you manage to get past the hurdles you had a couple of years ago?
I'm an immediate fan. Roger's music speaks to me. His songs sound like old friends, as though I've always known them.
What a gifted musician! I hope he gets more recognition, and is able to approach the business side of things in his own way. Thanks to Wizz Jones (another hugely gifted and under appreciated player) for bringing Roger’s music to my attention!
Nice one Roger - I tried to compromise and do both - it didn't work!!
What a joy to hear you are signed and out there, well done
Lovely film and great to hear RH is on the up. I know him as Buick 6 - they were seriously good.
2023 is the year? say yes!
Earl Okin Musical genius and international sex symbol!
I was delighted to meet Earl Okin in Cape Town at the famous Blue Dolphin. I spent some time with him, much enjoyed his gigs, and introduced him to some of my friends, including SA singing legend Dezi Ray.❤
Smokin' Okin...
Aww, that's too bad. It's sad that no one told him there's no such thing as a "perfect" marriage, or "perfect" relationship. ALL relationships take work and sacrifice, and BOTH parties have to WANT the relationship to succeed. He sure is a shining star, though. I'm absolutely enthralled with his talent!
1:34 beautiful
Trying to learn thing 🥷🫥
I like your honesty, and that comes through in your work.. keep going forward.. thank you Tom☺
Where I can but the whole documentary ?
I always thought he was one of The Beatles, or that he should've been...
Where is the rest? This is amazing.
Most cool.
I am also looking for the whole documentary.
This gentleman is a STAR.
Thanks for uploading. Where can I watch the whole documentary?
16 views? Why doesn't this video have 16 million views? I fell in love with Tom Baxter's music on a trip to London 14 years ago. He came to NYC twice to perform and I was there both times. This man's talents are beyond compare. Can't wait to hear what's next.
beautiful song
Love it!Looking forward to seeing Tom live again soon,he's a great artist and good friend ,thanks for sharing .
Earl Okin is a shining star without a doubt👍🏼
or a wife
One of my teachers at Barlby road.
had a wonderful conversation about Joao Gilberto with him at a club in London where he performed and mesmerized everyone. Would love to watch this movie!
Loved that. Thanks for putting it out there.
Nice chap
"he makes people laugh, he can make people cry too" ♥ great talent and amazing voice indeed
I remember Earl at the Wings City Hall in Newcastle and I thought he was great. I recall him playing Hoagy Carmichael tunes and mimicking horn parts with his mouth, he was hilarious. Unless my memory is playing tricks I think he was treated with respect at this gig.
