I’m curious to see how you handle artists. Let’s start with Aliff Satar, I’m confident you’ll ask unique, ootb questions that no other artists in Malaysia have been asked before.
Thankyou KJ, Shahril & Sami. May Allah bless you guys. Really appreciate for this motivation 😢 Love you guys and all ummah
Asalamualaikum KJ & Shahril. DR Zakir Naik please ❤
It's my first time listening to Kindred Stories, coming to hear the insights from Wahed founder himself and this is so insightful indeed. Thanks to the interviewers for all the brilliant questions.
Bro, what you're doing is called 'jihad'. Doing the impossible. May Allah swt blessed you effort. Amin ❤❤❤

sami hamdi on 🔥🔥🔥 took this talk to a different level ❤
Abd Hakim Murad @ Timothy Winter. My idol as well ❤❤❤
Shaykh abdal hakim Murad should be our Khalifa
Masyaallah Ulama❤
Credits to the KJ & SH for being wonderful hosts for Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad, May Allah always protect him and allow us to benefit from him in the best manner...
The decision of the 106th meeting of the MKI committee on 21-22 Oct 2014 has agreed to confirm the conclusion of the research that in terms of legislation, Aswaja members are the official school of Malaysia. The Shia and Salafi Wahhabi schools are not in line with the Aswaja mainstream. Both of these schools of thought can cause disputes and divisions among the Islamic community.
I am wondering what benefit would a muslim get in looking at Christian-themed paintings underground a church most of which , if not all, belie what Islam teaches about Christ (mainly divinity & crucifixion)? Our respected doctor justified it as being a prophetic tradition citing the Christians’ visit to the Holy Prophet. He committed what it’s called tadlees (in Arabic) which means telling half the truth. The truth is the Christians’ visit wasn’t a cultural exchange nor was it getting familiar with and appreciating the Muslim cultural traditions. It’s for one purpose only: to debate; to prove that Islam is wrong. Surely not to learn and appreciate Islam. I wish that people like our doctor when they do and say things that are untrue or controversial refrain from justifying them with tadlees.
10:36 RUU Mufti Wilayah
Salam, brothers Khairy and Shahril. I just wanted to congratulate you and thank you for this wonderful channel. May Allah bless you and your loved ones and keep you steadfast in your mission. May Allah guide us all, protect us, and bring us closer to him.
11:20 absolutely adore Abdul Hakim Murad, but salafism is given a bad rap, where it just bases itself on quran and sunnah and I feel he should've spoken out about this 'paring-down' around the world 😅🙌
Excellent questions from well prepared hosts and illuminating answers from a knowledgeable scholar
Sheikh Hakim Murad is a true polymath and one of the most erudite Muslim scholars of our time. His breadth of knowledge, from theology to philosophy, and his commitment to fostering interfaith dialogue, make him a remarkable intellectual leader.
A visit to Msia's own Raja Zarith Sofiah Centre for Advanced Studies in Islam, Science and Civilization (RZS-CASIS), UTM KL may open our door to the hidden gems of wisdom of our worldview of ISLAM to face the contemporary challenges from Secularism and global modernity together...DG
This syekh is a like of christian Prince Good debate... Let's see how he features...b
a fine aswaja scholar, wahabism is a scourge threatening Malaysia and the Muslim world.
… and the Sheikh comes from the Sufi and Tasawwuf and Asy’ari and Maturidi perspective of Islamic Theology.
If so, what is your point?
@ my point is that The Sheikh is NOT A WAHABI!
@@khalid61 so what is the point? When he is not a wahabi?
Let’s see if MAZA can even start to skim the surface of what Sheikh Hakim is discussing….krik krik krikkkk….
He is a subject matter expert with his thought process across spectrum, which is translucent to me. Hence I feel a bit heavy to absorb.
10:40 terimakasih sheikh menyokong RUU wilayah asyairah maturidiyah utk mengekang salafi wahabi. BIG NO to salafi wahabi. beliau menjawap dgn baik cubaan beberapa kali Kj utk mengatakan RUU itu menyempitkan agama.
Remind me Dr Uthman El Muhammady.. what Syeikh Abdul Hakim Murad is saying, exactly what Al Azhar is teaching..unfortunately many don’t get this knowledge when they graduated and come back to Malaysia, become politikus, or ustaz that spread hatred rather than murabbi..
Islamic Dr strange
Sheikh batuk bnyk kali minta ayaq tu😅
When he speaks about globalization, he is referring to the WEF(communist) agenda.
Not gonna lie but I like kindred stories more than KS. Still listening to KS regularly btw. It's a good regular dose of public policy
Menuduh negara Tauhid sebarangan. Promoting liberals through sugarcoat and watering down Islam to suit western ideology. He is a staunch Sufi. ua-cam.com/video/VLElRpSdpbQ/v-deo.htmlsi=1NygmurDWlxDL8z-
Great job guys !!love sheikh hakim. I want to share this The spirit of fierce competition Peace be upon you, dear brothers. To enhance and elaborate on the idea of the thinker, may God perpetuate his knowledge upon us, to compensate and correct our latent modernist perceptions that we now adopt after colonialism and our immersion and fascination with Western civilization, with the Islamic perceptions and convictions that we have been ignorant of due to our abandonment of the Book of God. We have taken this Quran as an abandoned one. Dr. Nayef Ben Nahar analyzes and summarizes all our beliefs and practices. He says that all the perceptions that we adopt are centered around four central perceptions in both cases between Islam and modernity. For Islam, succession as an existence leads to maturity in thinking, i.e. reason and Quranic text, then social integration as a perception in practice among members of society, and to establishing justice and equity as a goal. While modernity comes with its four central perceptions of independence in existence, i.e. dispensing with God, leads to pure rationality in thinking, which leads to individualism in practice, which leads to personal material interest as a goal. When the spirit of integration and cooperation with the rest of the members of society does not unite you, the spirit of fierce competition becomes what determines your relationship with others. Thus, you do not care about how to excel over the rest of the members of society and the focus here is on the material and social level. Islam, in its conception of individuals, sees believers as brothers and thus the spirit of cooperation and the standard of his success is subjective and does not relate to or conflict with the rest of the members of society. Rather, the individual here is required to help others even if they work in the same field of work. Therefore, we reject monopoly and usury and establish patience with others, tolerance, altruism and integration with the rest of the members of society. The economy is defined as maximizing profits, or the maximum exploitation of human and natural resources, while in Islam it is the optimal exploitation of human and natural resources. And the balance between human desires and resources. If modernity sees luxury as an original state, desires become unlimited. This results in excessive and harmful consumption of resources that ends with the destruction of the earth and thus humanity, as God Almighty said, “So do not transgress in the balance. Eat and drink, but be not excessive.” Balance is the most important concept in economics. Truth is limited to material truth, so morals, feelings and the psychology of society have no value in the standard of progress because they are not material value. Ideal life or life is a calamity as we see it in Islam? This question determines how we see our lives and interact with events and changes. Acculturation and privacy, i.e. communication with other cultures, and privacy means caring about reality. Things do not make us happy, but our perceptions of these things determine that. Perceptions as an introduction to assignment, God does not charge a soul except with that within its capacity…. The soul improves when perceptions improve. Responding to assignment becomes easier then. Spend from what He has made you trustees in. Meaning, if your perception of what you own is nothing but a trust from God, then you are a trustee, then it will be easy for your psychology to give charity, zakat and even gifts. Another example is when God Almighty says, “The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your brothers,” if the perception is in the relationship of believers with each other as brothers, then it will be easy for the individual to intervene to reconcile members of society. The moral perception is a better alternative to the legal perception. Chivalry, chastity and brotherhood can make the law only an exceptional necessity for a few cases. Reforming perceptions results in reforming beliefs and practices. For example, O mankind, indeed We have created you from a male and a female… The perception is the creation from a male and a female, so there is no difference where you were born or to whom you belong because it is not an achievement… All are equal. The second perception is that We have made you peoples and tribes, and why so that you may know one another? There is no other reason except for knowing one another among humanity. The rules of knowing one another. Standing with the truth to support Muslim brothers for one another. Enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. The political sphere is dominated by the resultant perception. The social sphere is dominated by the individualistic perception, the economic sphere is dominated by the capitalist perception, the religious sphere is dominated by the Christian perception, and the cognitive sphere is dominated by the materialistic perception. We do not look at what is not material as a source of knowledge.
I really enjoyed listening to Sheikh Murad and these two gentlemen. The flow of questions were smooth and the long responses were very engaging to hear. Lots of high level thoughts and words and phrases were sometimes complex, but manageable. I would love to have the Sheikh talk about education of the formative years of the young child.
Brilliant podcast. So much information that we can take away from this podcast. Also, an eye-opener. One thing that I would suggest is to divide the parts of this hour-long video into sections that are titled with the main points being discussed. Thank you so much.
Hi until when sheikh in malaysia ya
Tanya Tokoh Ashari tentang RUU Mufti Wilayah... Mmg jawapan mcm tu.. Masuk Islam ni Ikut Nabi klau Ikut Aristotle rugi la.... 😊
pekat salafi ko kan kahkahkhkahkah...
Mana sumber primer buku aristotle ajar sifat 20?
@@inspil mana bukti aristotle ajar sifat 20? Muka surat berapa.. acah intelek pulak wahhaboy ni
@@jaybondd9963 Wahai org yg rasa berintlek... Soalan tu salah ada hati nak tanya. Aristotle dgn sifat 20 mana satu yg datang dulu?.... klau sifat 20 diajar Aristotle itu hebatnya sifat 20 tp klau sebaliknya itu hinaan bagi agama wahyu kerana akidahnya perlu dibengkokkan mengikut kaedah penyembah dewa dewi yunani kuno.
Very important discourse, yet too theoretical. Let's point up salient examples in regards to the Book of Tawheed.,detached from Saudi politics and " terrorism." Finally, we are not the Vatican and in shaa Allah will never be. To each his own, no compulsion in religion. A state religion should be a contradiction in terms. Allah Has told us in clear Quran most people don't believe, most people hate the truth, most people are ungrateful.
SUBHANALLAH Great job KS Thank you so much.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"the fact everything is a wonder" ...I call them 'Ordinary Miracles' which many fail to see and embrace. Tq KJ & Shahril for introducing this enlightened person to us
I am not a Muslim, and I am a firm believer in my own faith. However, after hearing Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad's explanation, I am more certain that all religions ultimately aim to bring out the best in humanity
Wonderful episode. His depth of knowledge is awe inspiring. He could pratically cross reference things from the classical knowledge up to the more recent AI issues. Phew.
What an excellent scholar.. thank you.
I was born a Muslim. From early childhood I attended Madrasah taught by malay Muslim teachers & attended circular schools for tertiary education & professional training in the country & across the Global world in USA & Australia. Attended religious talks & seminars conducted by malay Muslim scholars who were trained in Middle East. The enrichment I gathered from listening to Syakh Abdal Hakim & reading his book on Travelling Home exposed me to learned scholar perspective of Islam from a revert with advantages of exposure to the other Abrahamic religion. Masya Allah Syakh for your profound thoughts on Islam & may Allah swt bless you for sharing your knowledge & experience. Thank you Khairy & Shahril for posing the most appropriate & provoking questions during the session.
Anyway thanks Kindred Stories for sharing good dialog with a lovely international guess.
Sheikh Hakim is a prominent figure in the Sunni Islamic community in the West. Ditakuti golongan Wahabi. Irony betul bila KS yang liberal jemput dia .
Guru mursyid beliau ialah Habib Ahmad Mashhur bin Taha al-Haddad rahimahuLlāh.
@ Thanks for the info
Bukan irony, tapi jalan hidayah Allah swt pelbagai cara
So many “ pearls of wisdom” in this episode
