If you would like to order one of these knives or another knife, here is the link to his page. m.facebook.com/FradyMade/
You shouldn't be wearing that black shirt in the woods unless you're VC!!! LOL. Other than that you're solid!
if I may make a suggestion, the tactical knife you have strapped to your shoulder harness is extremely close to your face, especially with the cutting / sharp edge facing your face. in an emergency, hand to hand confrontation or during a stressful situation, you reach for knife, the chances of you cutting your face open are extremely high. also assuming you are right handed, you should with the knife to your left/ weak side. your strong hand is to retain your weapon, weak hand is to reach for the knife and get someone off you.
Especially considering how wicked sharp that knife is 👀 looks pretty good at face stabbing.
Your audio is insanely clean, what mic are you using?
@@Mazwell96 it’s just the mic on my iPhone
@@WintersOutdoors wow, it sounds amazing. Mine sounds like its buried up a polar bears ass.
@@Mazwell96 lol
Nice breakdown sir!!
waist belt designed too rupture kidney
😐
What kind of knife is that?
Great video an an explanation of the pack I wish you would have spent more time on connecting the straps with out the frame
Do you have a cold or are you snow blind
amazing veiws
Beautiful
Man that's straight gorgie
Been waiting years for an upload. About time.
These have No stiff frame, easily loaded to the point of being uncomfortable to hike with. I know, I have one, and I am looking for a better option that is within my target price range.
Mt man here watching 👍👍
👍👍
Yeah, my wife could never do that one. She can handle heights better than she used to, but not those types of things, lol.
If your a dork with two. I hate to think how bad i am with 5. One large, two od green mediums and two m 81 camo, one plain and one radio variant with the velcro opening in the lid for an antennae. Yea.. military surplus is an addiction
No FradyMade!?
Nerd.
Your mom called the office early. She said to shut your mouth.

That DCU drip
Good advice brother, but you forgot one important item. A 10mm pistol (preferably a G20) in case you run into pissed off wildlife lol
Dealers choice, I always have at least a 9mm on me ;)
I picked one up and totally love it
Great vid, turned me on to some new gear. How cold will you go with this setup?
I thought I was the only one that thinks like that about people and crowds but I’m glad there’s others 👍
I own several large and medium Alice packs with frames and all the straps and kidney pads. Many of mine are in unissued condition. I even have the woodland pack cover. One thing I still don't have is the lc2 MK2 woodland pack. Picking one up tomorrow. Comes with the last gen matte green frame, thick lc2 MK2 straps, the kidney pad, and they're throwing in a full Alice webbing set up lol. $25! The last thing I need is more Alice webbing set ups. I could totally outfit probably 10 people at this point. A simply hobby and collection has turned my spare room into and army surplus store. It's actually pretty crazy and I need to start selling some stuff..
Cool vid thanks for sharing!
I'm thinking about cutting off the frame holder cuz I don't use and I don't think I'll ever use the frame
You could! I think it may provide a little padding on the top of your pack.
I've seen people put Sustainment pouches on both sides of those packs and really up the amount of storage. I've also seen someone manage putting the woodland alice shoulder straps on the pack to make it more comfortable
You can definitely do that. The sustainment pouches pull the top/front in a weird shape but it works.

I remember hearing about a small Alice pack but I doubt the military ever used one a small Alice pack would be useless in my opinion but I do remember hearing about it.
We were issued small ALICE packs in USMC Boot Camp. It was BARELY large enough to hold all of field gear if you packed it right. There was no room for anything else in it. The military wants you to pack mission essential gear on top so it’s easy to get to and everything else beneath depending upon what it is and how often you use it. I own a medium pack now. It’s large enough for about a 24-48 hour load. We had larges in the unit that I was in due to required loads. Like he said those things are BIG! Take care!
Rothco made them. You can buy them new, or new / old for 50-80$. IMO it's a solution in search of a problem. BUT. It will mount on the Alice frame. This would leave room for cargo underneath. I have a Rothco medium and shorten it up for light loads.
@@mrfancypants29 Was that the M-81 Pattern SINCGARS Radio Pack? I've seen a few of them still in their wrappers new old stock come up for sale. It seems that they are a bit smaller than the mediums. Made by UNICOR.
@@Leec_1972 radio pack is comparable in size to the medium. Not much difference.
Outer pouch is for claymore . It attaches to the CFP-90 rifleman's pack .
We were still using Medium ALICE packs in Korea through at least 2005. Had one there. I didn't get a MOLLE rucksack until 2007 in Germany. I actually used the "in between" pack called the CFP90 in between ALICE and MOLLE. It dwarfs the Large ALICE or even the MOLLE Large. 110L and an internal frame. I have an ALICE Medium and Large as well as a CFP90. I usually use the Medium ALICE unless I need the room on a kayak trip.
I don’t have a CFP90. I’ve looked into them but heard stories about the frames breaking easily and didn’t want to risk it with the price of them if you can find them.
@@WintersOutdoors like I said, I only use the big packs if I am not hiking. CFP90 is a monster. It can break the straps if you aren't careful, but it has its own advantages. One of the pockets on the outside is perfectly sized for the TCOP. It has tons of ALICE webbing and a seperate sleeping bag compartment that can swallow the full MSS. I ise it for vehicle camping and take the Patrol Pack from it if I am going on a hike.
89-90 2nd ID we had the large Alice, didnt see the CPF89 until i went to FT Drum in Nov.90 It was garbage unless you had all your crap in it .Unit i was in we could still use the large Alice if you had 1.
@WintersOutdoors It's the adjustment system that would break. The problem was reportedly people picking them up by one shoulder strap. This put all the stress on one side of the plate. I had one, and yes, it broke. Rothco and one other company made knockoffs for awhile, but quit. The Rothco at least had the straps sewn in. Non adjustable. But you do get the patrol pack with it.
Good to see you out again and sporting the medium Alice. Sorry, your camp didn't go as planned. Beautiful area.
Next time!
Can't believe that place was packed. Looks well off the beaten trail. Love the view at 9:30
It wasn’t packed as much as it was one loud group. Lots of four wheeler and side by side traffic though.
Guy's..... This, this right here! Ya'll really look at his kit! It's effective and didn't break the bank to get it. It's not top of the line kit but it works. He uses what he has and makes it work! You take his kit, build a shelter and start a fire you can stay alive for a very long time! Food is you're only real limiting factor!
This is actually a great 24 to 48 hour pack. If you add the right pouches to it it can really have exactly what you need when you need it off the beaten path! Carried one for years as a Marine and got one as soon as I got out! It's been my bush craft bag from way back when and it's still running strong almost 20 years later!
still have mine in od for years ; my true home even when homeless !
love the content ! can you recommend a more remote hike that includes a small creek or stream ? me and my brother are planning on going out on a couple day hike and want to bring firearms for a range day as well
A lot of remote hikes around Vegas dont have locations where you could legally shoot unfortunately.
just so you know, the med. alice pack was not used in vietnam. the main packs used in vietnam were the lightweight rucksack, tropical rucksack, and the ARVN ry\ucksack. the medium alice pack and tropical rucksack look very similar though.
Great video, your gear makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
Nice hiking adventure. 👍
