New subscriber here. Loving this stitch pattern. And I appreciate greatly your explaining the stitch anatomy. Makes a big difference. Thank you. 🦋
My pleasure!
What sized needles do you reccommend for this?
4.00mm
So my sweet, I have decided that your tutorial is the one I will follow for my 1st Tunisian Crocet from, so excited!
Thank you! I am excited too!
🎉🎉🎉🎉 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SLOWING THE VIDEO AND ALLOWING US TO SEE WHAT YOURE DOING🎉🎉🎉🎉
You’re welcome!!
I am new to Tunisian crochet and I’m left handed. You did a great job of explaining this stitch that I’ve been struggling with. I think I understand it now. Thank you!
My pleasure! Glad I could help!!
just sent you an email on dye stain removal
I got it! Thank you so much for the tip. I’ll try this next time I get in a pickle with the stains!
Hello, I love your tutorial. You are such a great teacher. Quick question, if I wanted to make a throw size blanket, how many chains will I need to start with? Follow up question, do you have any idea about how many yards of yarn I would need to do this? Thank you!
It’s hard to say without knowing your gauge. I would do a test swatch of about 30 chains, measure how many inches of fabric that gets you and then use that to calculate how many stitches you need to cast on. As far as the yardage is concerned, it depends on your gauge and what weight yarn you use. It’s hard to give you numbers without knowing these.
Thank you for the tutorial and sharing your dream! I wish you much success! I do have an ask though. I need more lighting. I found myself trying to tilt my phone or increase brightness. Great yarn color choice for honeycomb 😊
Thank you for the feedback! I’ll keep this in mind when I film future videos.
I like the paper can you do a border for this pattern
You can put borders on any of the patterns I show. I like doing crochet borders because they can be really simple but elegant.
Just found you this is great.
Love this learned so much
What beautiful choices of yarn color and what a perfect blanket for Fall! I need to learn how to crochet with the Tunisian hook☺
It’s so fun!
As beginner a visual leaner, I really like your style of teaching and tips. My hooks been in a drawer 1 year, failed attempts. ?? I have a crocheted 2 color strand scrap yarn blanket. Can I use frogged yarn to make a closer weave blanket? Many thanks.
Yes! You can use scraps.
OMW...I LOVE THIS AND THE COLORS AND RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!
You’re so welcome!!!
Love this I am going to try it❤
Best of luck!!! ♥️
I have a question. And in need of clarification. If I wanted to use this stich to make a sweater and I did just do what you did hear, then that could be like the back panel. Meaning that as I'm working right to left, I'm vertically, working up or down the panel. Or am I totally backwards with this?
You would be working vertically, correct.
This looks amazing. I feel a scarf coming on...big plus of this pattern is the reverse is the same as the front. 🥰 It seems to be a yarn eater 🤔 though. I think I can kill off some of my stash...use 2 colors, plus the 3rd color from the stash. Don't think I'll need the cabled hooks if I crochet it cross-wise. Thanks for the tutorial 🤗 (BTW...I subscribed and rang that bell...don't want to miss a video 🙂)
Oh my gosh!!! Thank you for subscribing!!! Yes, it is a big yarn eater. So it will eat up a stash quick. I’d love to see the scarf when you finish! You should join me in the Mountaintop Yarn Family group on Facebook so you can share photos!
@@mountaintopyarn I was thinking....this stitch would also make a pretty ear warmer. I have some specialty wool....yak, alpaca and baby camel...that would make a nice ear warmer in neutral browns. (Thank you much-ly for the FB invite🤗, but I'm not a FB person. Just to be transparent....I have a nephew who has been trying for 10 years to get me on FB. 😆I'm just not a tech-y person)
Quick and easy I think I will try!
Yay!!! Good luck!! If you need any help, I’m here!
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you!!
Can you explain more about how to carry multiple strands up rows rather than cutting the yarn? It would seem to get unwieldy, especially with that many colors.
@marshall9093 this! I'm also curious how that works.
That’s very cool I love it thank you so much for teaching I’m in love with crochet and I love it I am going to try it today. ❤
You’re very welcome!
Just came across you by accident & I'm really glad I did. I really enjoy you soft voice & explicit explanation of work. Usually they go so fast u can't catch up.I'm excited to try. Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words! I wish you the best of luck and if you have any questions I’m always here to help!
Jst come across ur video and noticed you dont do the one stitch first then the 2's on ur backward pass luv this idea makes it grow faster...
Thank you for the comment!
So what happens if you’re making an adult blanket that’s huge? All the loops probably couldn’t fit on the small needle so what do you do?
There are Tunisian crochet hooks that have cables for holding a lot of stitches. Here is an example: a.co/d/0jQLTG0
@@mountaintopyarn thank you so much!!
Thank you for some very nice videos on Tunisian Crochet still something I want to really try. x
My pleasure!
I am glad I found you, Love your video nice and easy to follow. Very relaxing voice. xx
Thank you!!! 😊
Love watching your videos 😍😍 I have so many WIPs right now 😂
♥️ WIPs are just little boosts of serotonin in the making. The more the merrier!!!
Ugh seeing all your whips makes me at some point wanna learn to knit but I also now need to add that shawl pattern to my to make list.
The shawl is such a fun make and the beads are just so engaging to work. I highly recommend it!
Beautiful work (s) beautiful yarn 🧶 love your positivity, the universe will provide, sending positive vibes 🍂
Thank you so much! Positivity all the way! Thanks for the good vibes!
.😮😮😮😅😅😅😅😅😮😅😮😅😅
♥️
I think some autumn leaves might be a nice addition!
Oohhh! Indeed!!!
Omg so cute and hopefully when I make it it wont be to big for my tiny head
Just make sure to check the size as you go!
I’ve never done a standing double before but I can’t wait to start incorporating that into my pieces!! I hate working into the top of a chain 2 or chain 3
It’s such a game changer
I think I am going to make one! It's so cute
I want one in Witch’s Brew! And Glass Gem Corn!
@@mountaintopyarn omg yessssss
Heeeeey! Cute pattern. Thanks for all the great content, yarn, and patterns!
♥️ thanks!!! ♥️
I’m trying to build up a “stash” ( just a novice) so I eventually have “scraps” of different weights to create quick projects like this! Love how creative you are and can just whing it and think up a new pattern 😊 thanks so much 🍂 p s love the cottagecore vibe 🧡
The cottagecore / witchcore vibe is my entire personality 😂
Yesssss! I love the cottage core so much. I am in love with it and I am trying to find ways to blend it with my mermaid core soul 😍
Great for beginners but since I was looking for something a little more eye catching like your other patterns
This is a technique video. Were you looking for something in particular? I can make a video for you if so!
@@mountaintopyarn yes!!! I want something super different like the honeycomb stitch you did was amazing Im looking for something eye catching like that I can make a scarf or something with😆😆😆
I know just the stitch! I’ll start making it right away. Make sure you are subscribed and have notifications turned on so you’ll know when I upload!
Thanks. I have always been intimidated to try adding beads and now I see it's so much easier than I thought ❤
Me too! I’ve been putting them off forever and I was like, oh… it’s that easy?!!!
Thank you so much, I’m just learning to knit and starting on flat needles, this will really teach me so much!
My pleasure!! If you get stuck and have any questions, I’m here to help. I also have a Facebook page, Mountaintop Yarn, you can come hang out and ask questions. Happy knitting!!!
❤❤❤❤
♥️
Such a precious pumpkin!! Also love that you showed how to count rows, I felt so dumb when I had to ask someone if the stitches on the needle count as a row or not 😅
That always tricked me too! That’s why when I was making this video I decided to show it. I figured I probably wasn’t the only one. 😂
😍😍😍😍
♥️
Love how you talk to your project, just like I do! 🤪
😂
This project is now on my MUST DO before fall list! So beautiful and my first dive into color work I’m so excited! Thank you so much🎃
If you want to join me on Facebook I have a group where you can share your creation with others who would love to see it, including me!!!!
Those turned out so cute! I'm definitely itching to make a few... maybe using a cinnamon stick 🤔
A cinnamon stick would be perfect!
Good video, thank you! Is there a video on the blanket you’re wrapped in?
Unfortunately not. I made that many years ago and have since forgotten what I did to make it. If I have some time, I’ll see if I can reverse engineer it!
@@mountaintopyarnawesome!!
So pretty 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for teaching the standing double crochet, very neat and handy 💛
My pleasure!
Perfect with fall approaching and LOVE that colorway for this project 🧡
Isn’t it perfect?!
You posted this at the perfect time! Now I can start these before Halloween
Yay!!!
Love this!! I will be making some for the grandkids!!
Oh I love that so much!!!
