This has to be a joke right? Like I get it, Halflight isn't exactly difficult (I beat it first try with next to no issue) but to say it's worse than Wolnir, Ancient Wyvern and Curse-Rotted Greatwood? Nahhhh that's such a strange take. Unlike all of those three, Halflight actually does something and poses at least a slight threat.

As a summary it feels like greatswords (not colossals) and may be great hammers/axes can pretend on being one weapon good for any task. All the rest require a complementary alternative to switch in order to have a weapon siuted for particular boss. Like poke Garguille with a toothstick - nah, not being able to stunlock fast humanoid guys - no thx...

Niall knights are easy, the 100% working every time strat is: 1. Wait for one with 2 swords run towards you while one with shield walks slowly. 2. Knock it with heavy attack chain (it can be staggerlocked easily) 3. By the time guy with shield enters the fight you are in finishing animation and invoulnerable, ke-ke-ke.

And mimic didn't even feel like a boss (I didn't cheese it). The NPC AI is not a match for a human if both of you twohanding a greatsword or greataxe - it doesn't even try to use the reach of the weapon and strike 1-st. (Anastasia, that guy with Rivers of Blood, etc go the same way - just click-click-dead.)

For me the shittiest by far was Astel Natural Born with its tendency to just zone me out by a couple of AoE, teleport 1000 miles away and make me run across all arena to just repeat this again. The close 2nd was Fire Giant. For Gargulies I had Watchdog stuff which allowed to finish the first one before the second actually entered the fight (I fought the first one at closer edge of arena so the second needed some time to cross it after being summoned). So I never fought both simultaneously and never faced poison clouds. It just looked like big, relatively slow enemy for poise-breaking weapon with strike damage - and it worked. It aclually felt like DPS-check, couse the difficulty of the fight is an order of magnitude different when you have or don't have to fight both an once.

Any time I hear people bring up the “Elden Ring theme song” I never hear them mention how that’s actually the Demon’s Souls theme just in a different key, they blended it in with the Elden Ring theme, giving it connective tissue to the rest of the souls genre..making it even more bad ass than it already is

Something is very wrong. There is no reason a channel like this with movie level production on all fronts should be getting this little views especially when others are putting in 10x less the effort, are 10x less entertaining, 100x less editing and pulling 10x if not 100x the views.

I played ds3 after like 60hrs in Elden ring for like 10 minutes and uninstalled because it felt so clunky. and that crystal lizard was owning me. Reinstalled and I’m on nameless king now. great game

I beat Nameless King for the first time last night and I never want to do that again. It was 'what am I doing with my life?" levels of difficult.

Midir fight was the most un-fun thing i have ever done. The camera movement, the fact that all you do 80% of the time is run around waiting for him to lower his head, the almost undodgable bullshit fire breath attacks. It feels like an extended version of nameless King's first phase

Don't even love Old Demon King but it definitely shouldn't be that low. It's a solid boss. Generally agree with a lot of the ranking though. Totally agree with hating Aldrich, and I liked how you didn't trash Vordt, Deacons, and Greatwood.

Fortisaxx's Weird Lighting Zap thing only occurs if you walk underneath him, its to encourage you to fight him from the front and smack his head. It doesnt change the positiokntoo much since... all the dragons in elden ring are like that, and the Ancient dragons are really hard to hit in the head with melee attacks... hes definitely a lot better if you use magic or ranged attacks.

cant disagree more on the elden beast claim. the emotional aspect was perfectly on point and the fight was just so insanely beautiful. once you get into that arena with the ethereal theme and the open wide dimension with erdtrees spurting out, it feels just beyond. when you faced radagon and he turned halfway around (in his cutscene) you knew: this is the endgame. when the elden beast theme starts playing you know: this is beyond the end game. and now that you can use torrent in the arena its one of the best fromsoft bosses ever
