Thanks for making this video! Every new gun I clean and run a few basic tests before I fire a single bullet. My very first AR on my very first test and 28 out of 30 rounds the bolt carrier would not seat all the way, cycling live rounds by hand. Your advice was the answer stay safe out there, thanks.

My experience with trying to solve this problem by increasing buffer weight failed completely. I went ( one weight at a time ) from a standard carbine buffer, all the way to an H3 (3 oz. to 5.6 oz. ) and the only noticeable difference in the ejection pattern was that instead of being anywhere from one thirty to three o clock, it is now consistently at two o clock. A heavier buffer spring might help, but I think an adjustable gas block is probably the best solution.

Appreciate your experience, I'm going to see what they would cost to have installed and I'll do a follow up video. Would most shooters install a adjustable gas block themselves or hire it out? 🤔

Some rifles need more than a heavier buffer some need stronger buffer spring. My ar got a springco red extra power spring now ejects at slightly more then 3 o'clock position, some commercially available ars come over gassed gas port hole in barrel is over sized, tried all buffer weights it did not change pattern, changed spring worked first time..

Great! I had to do this to a recent build an so many people talked shit to me saying that wasn't the problem blah blah. Anything that adds spring pressure to friction point is going to reduce cycling power. I've found with common sense an a understand for physics you can pretty much get any gun to work or even make your own gun.

While the upper and lower and still apart if I move the bolt carrier to the left just a tad bit and then push in then it will work. This is a brand new ar 15 so idk why it’s having this problem
