People Joy Testimonial Video Examples
I'm working on a new book.
"People Joy. The art, power and magic of successful conversations."
It's a book about life-changing social and communication skills.
Some people have said nice things about me to help me promote the book when it comes out. I'd like a few more.

I was invited to take part in the 'Human Hacking' Conference in Orlando, Florida. What is 'human hacking'? Privacy and data security are important to any organisation. There are two ways to get past that security. One is to 'hack' in to the system by computer. The other is to trick people into giving away information. Chris Hadnagy and his team are the world's leading experts when it comes to h...

So the inner piece is never removed, parts are still attached when you flip it over? That would be amazing if so.
I'm ready to order this book.
Amusing but the "dont care what happens to me" stupidity vs going home... is much.
Every line of this is not just flawlessly delivered, but brilliantly so. (The way she quotes her husband at work - “-mad!” - breaks me every time.) This may be the greatest comedic scene in film history.
Brilliant with Katherine. Huge for Judy. Geniuses both brilliant 🌟
Where can I buy this trick?
She was genius... so I sez.
I hope you are still doing these! I love your work Ian
Judy Holliday is a great actor!
Judy Holliday was a great artist! I loved her in everything she ever did! underrated
1:40 - great illustration for law students as to how to turn a leading question into a non-leading one to get around an objection sustained.
A masterclass of acting. It seems a one-take scene.
How can you not fall in love with Judy Holliday?
Judy Holliday is beyond incredible.
It was Katharine Hepburn and George Cukor who got together and hatched a plan to get Judy to appear in Adams Rib and then do the Movie Version of Born Yesterday, in which Holliday did for three years on Broadway..BUT Studio Head Harry Cohen didn’t want an unknown ..I know!!! In his film..so Cukor ( who was going to direct Born Yesterday) and Hepburn gave Adam’s Rib suffering wife to Judy Holliday..to show Cohen and others..that Judy Holliday could act with titans like Hepburn and Tracy…it worked ..after rave reviews and a box office smash..for Adams Rib…Judy Holliday was offered the title role in Born Yesterday and Won Best Actress!
I am watching now and I just had to see this scene again. I love how Holiday describes everything she had eaten.

Good
Love old moves
Judy deserved but did not get a supporting actress Oscar nomination for this movie. Many of you probably know that Jean Hagen, who plays the other woman, was supposed to have toured in BORN YESTERDAY, and that her voice a few years later as Lena Lamont in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN was possibly inspired by Judy's BORN YESTERDAY voice, perhaps because Judy's friends from her Revuers days, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, wrote the screenplay for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.
I didn't know Jean Hagen supposed to tour with Born Yesterday? Can you tell us why she didn't tour?
@@taylormaddux8433 Wikipedia says that Jean Hagen was one of Judy's replacements in BORN YESTERDAY, but IBDB doesn't list her as a replacement. One Internet source says that Jean "...understudied Judy Holliday in BORN YESTERDAY and was able to play the role for a month during Holliday’s vacation." Another Internet source says, "Ironically, Jean Hagen had performed that role [of Billie] in the off-Broadway tour of BORN YESTERDAY, and knew it well."
@@padroneoso Thanks!
It could be a gas pressure issue(even if it's not really an issue). If a gas pressure valve doesn't think it's got enough pressure to light, it won't even try. Not sure if it has one but that's my best guess, and all that's assuming your heat is also gas. And it may be that the sensor is faulty or there really is an issue with the pressure. Hard to say there and I'm not remotely versed in non-U.S. systems so take anything I say with a grain of salt.
Amazing "Then....I shot him"- the stens eyebrows went up How'd you feel? " Hungry"- the sten looks at Kate somply amazing
I could watch this 100 times and it never gets old. Judy Holliday was such a genius actress. She is so absolutely authentic. She's full of humor but at the same time inspires so many other emotions at the same time. There are times when I find myself laughing and crying at the same time watching some of her scenes.
She's just brilliant. I've always been a big fan of the Tracy-Hepburn combo but there's no denying that Holliday stole every scene she was in. She knows how to make you laugh and cry at the same time.
I agree, and I read that Hepburn insisted that the camera focus on Judy for most of the scene.
The inspiration for Harley Quinn.
Both of these women are iconic. So distinctive in each of their personalities and accents. They don't matter actors like this anymore.
So true!
That’s a great name for a story about a woman. Also, I love Judy’s voice.
Can you please make a tutorial on how to do this? 🙏
Judy Holliday is amazing. Everyone knows about Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn - and for good reason, they're great actors. Too few people know how terrific Judy Holliday was in her all-too-short career.
Incomparable blend of humor and pathos by Miss Holliday, an American original.
"so i says, so he says." i love it
Marvelous. It's great to take a moment to focus on one scene like this to completely take it in. I love both performances.
Who played the security guard in the background???
Probably Gracille LaVinder - she's listed as "Police Matron" on the IMDb page.
love judy and how she survived the "red channel" communist witch hunt.
Judy Holliday was such a wonderful and original actress. She is great in this scene. Katherine Hepburn and director George Cukor really liked Judy and helped her get this part...and her movie career took off.
She was a brilliant actress, but what's weird is, she said repeatedly that she didn't want to act; she wanted to write and direct. Go figure!
@@jusjellus She would have excelled as a writer and director too. She was born before her time.
Can't believe she inspired harley quinn's voice
Wow I did t know that. Thanks for sharing
She didn't. Harley Quinn was wholly inspired by Arleen Sorkin, her original VA.
@@prod.bysoryu1294 And Arleen drew inspiration from Judy Holliday.
@@Prof_Tickles92 Why do you think that?
Amazing...no editing..one take
Two striking things here: one is Holliday's surprisingly naturalistic acting, which seems wonderfully believable and spontaneous despite undoubtedly having been thoroughly rehearsed. The other is that the entire scene is played in a single continuous shot; the impassive presence of the woman in the distance (presumably a security guard of some kind) maintains a certain tension that might otherwise be absent.
Natural she is! Oh it’s almost like she invented another personality altogether.
One of the things I enjoy very much in older films is the long, continuous shots. And close ups are used rarely, allowing them to preserve their real dramatic effect. Great observation about the guard in back.
I'm not sure that her acting in this scene is naturalistic, as you say. Rather, it's something unique to her: a mixture of comedic commentary on the character and heartfelt sentiment. The heartfelt part is quite felt and equally communicated. So the scene has pathos as well as being funny. Hepburn anchors it all. It's really quite special,

I wish I'd known about this. I'd have loved to attend a conference that included how to use cold reading with social engineering.
