The solar conditions weren't great, the A was 3 and the K was 3 it was a struggle to work Europe from the west coast of North America we started on 10 meters with 100 watts dropped down to 15 and had to turn the amp on big difference between 100 and 900 watts.

I am in the process of looking for it. It's in the garage somewhere after unplugging everything in the garage it's still there i am going to crawl up in the attic and see if it's the fan up there.
Near vertical INDECENT???
With a dipole low to the ground, the signal goes straight up and scatters off the ionosphere, then comes straight back down and covers approximately 600 to 700 miles. I have a full wave loop 62 feet per side times 4. My feed point is 6 feet off the ground, not good for DX, but really good for the western states because of the high take-off angle from the antenna.
You did not work any DX - Your computers did.
I enjoy working DX with my computers. If it counts for DXCC there's not much to be said it counts

It depends on the band conditions, but I think I do better from home on 10.

There’s thing called contesting where you try to make as many contacts as possible in a certain amount of time. It’s a thing for the hobby to add a bit of competitiveness for those who want it
If you something about dx, dx is short for distant, meaning outside the continental US

VE3MMX repeater constantly strong for months here in Washington really nice bunch and fun to talk to the other repeater in New York its doesn't have the consistent signal I here it ounce in a while. I have enjoyed 10 meter FM for years it nice to finally have a dedicated radio and antenna for it and the band openings to enjoy it.
