    Exercise, eating well, and meditation are still great things to do. Problem is the mindset you take when doing it can be problematic. If you do these things thinking that they're a magical cure to things, like a combination and consistency of these things will make you suddenly achieve your goals or desires is flawed logic. I feel you need to do things for the sake of themselves, exercise makes you healthy, look better, and athletic, just do it for that goal each time you exercise. Meditation isn't a magic cure for anything, it comes with the goal of getting peace in mind. And to gain confidence, these things definitely help but self destruction is about destroying the pre-conceived idea of yourself that prevented you to doing things you desire. Like you said in the vid, I only gained social confidence once I started socializing, getting girls once I had courage to make female friends, get close with some, even explore sexuality with one through proper communication, 100 pushups everyday didn't have me progress in terms of those things. Reading bunch of books about how the world works doesn't make you know the world around you, once I joined different communities, moved to different places, talk to friends about their backgrounds, that's when I truly know what it's like outside my bubble. But same for self-improvement things, like meditation, ppl can do it as just part of the routine, but once I truly tried to meditate and understand the purpose/benefits; meditation became a goal within itself

    i just realized this while watching fight club, the self improvement notion is bullshit. you wont get anywhere while watching it. its not helpful. you just need to pursue the goal. go gym, learn more, eat healthier, whatever. whatever works for you is best. if you really despise working out, then don’t do it. maybe do something else that helps you. maybe play a sport. im probably in no place to talk because im a skinny guy, but fight club seems so right to me, and i actually feel happy improving myself in the way that I want to. the real people that are locked in and good at this stuff dont consume this content. well, mindlessly anyway. i wanna do things for myself

    Unironically this video is the opposite of self-help but it also connects to self-destruction which isn't good either, at the end of the the the best is the one of both worlds, where your going to the gym being disciplined not motivated, eating healthy and doing what you need to take care of yourself, and not overcomplicating it. But at the same time always learning and becoming better, I still kinda see in a way that you have given up on your journey and that is sad in my eyes. I spoke to soon, just finished watching the video your doing great my point still does kinda stand, don't give up.

    This is a very well-presented opinion, but one that I ultimately disagree with. Don't get me wrong, TikTok can definitely be compared to opium, and most of the suspicious things it does and its adverse effects that are outlined in this video are true. However the whole Opium Wars analogy falls apart when you remember that the US already had its own domestic opium manufacturers, the Chinese just came up with a stronger and more addictive version of it (that, need I remind you, most domestic opium manufacturers immediately attempted to copy). As for China having "a spinach version of Tik-Tok", it does not in any way confirm the theory that Tik-Tok is some sort of informational superweapon, all it says is that Tik-Tok plays by the local rules. It just so happens that China has strict guidelines on what kids can and cannot be subjected to online, while the US has nothing in the way of protecting its younger demographic from the influence of social media and apps like TikTok. Another thing that has to be addressed is the data that Tik-Tok collects on its users, it sure can seem uniquely dystopian and scary, but unfortunately, that is not the case, as most other tech companies employ similar data collection policies. Sure, in the case of Tik-Tok, all that data gets stored on foreign soil and then quite likely used by the Chinese government. Still, unfortunately, we can conclude that the only problem the US had with that was where that data was stored and who had access to it, and not that it was collected, stored, and accessed in the first place. Basically, I disagree with the US ban on TikTok because the reason behind the ban is not the fact that it's literal opium, but the fact that it's CHINESE opium.

    • @Matthew-Ash
      @Matthew-Ash Місяць тому

      Can’t say I totally disagree, there’s not a ton of room for nuance in making these videos. I think you’re right though the reason it’s a problem is because we don’t have as much influence in how they operate. I think china just don’t mind the fact that it messes things up in the west

    • @seltersaar3512
      @seltersaar3512 Місяць тому

      @@Matthew-Ash agreed. The Chinese government got involved for that juicy data, all the havoc it wreaks is just the cherry on top. Obviously banning TikTok is better than not banning it, but the whole reason behind the ban is that all the spooky shit it did was actually legal and A-OK, as far as the law was concerned, so changing that would have been the best outcome, I think.

    Self improvement will always lead to more insecurities because there is always something wrong, you aren't perfect. The best you can do is know your strengths and weaknesses and understand that no matter if you are rich or poor, a slave or free, you are still a man.

    Spot on! There’s a fine line between true self-improvement and chasing endless ‘fixes’ that don't actually help. I’ve been caught up in the cycle too, trying every self-help tip under the sun but often just feeling more confused. The Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x gave me a break from the self-help spiral. Sometimes, laughing at the absurdity of it all brings clarity. Real growth happens when we focus on what matters, not just stacking routines. Keep it simple, and you’ll find real change!

    Self-destruction is the key. Spending years in your room hustling on a business, learning investing, being miserable because you lost a lot of money the first year. Then after a long time of self-destruction, your channels gets monetized, you make 5x in the market, that's how you start winning and never stop from that point on.

Raise your kids to be tough and understand that unconditional and tough love go hand in hand when it’s warranted. Don’t just show them love and forget to discipline them.

The best way to improve yourself is to live life. You can keep trying to avoid risky situations and you'll still screw up in ways you didn't even know existed, so you'll always end up learning more regardless.

    none of what he mentioned is better than he himself, the same goes for all of you. Everyone is equal and the same, no one is special nor unique, so if you think you are gonna achieve "greatness" by following someones step, you are very, very wrong. In fact half of you are nothing but a brainless flock, a fucking herd, following whoever you find to be jealous of. The definition of the man doesn't apply to you no more. You measure your success, happiness and "self growth" by such irrelevant things as money, status, authority, attractiveness, women, etc. His point is in fact relevant, it is the truth, but nevertheless he can turn the tables by a simple flick of his fingers, and now he is gonna use you to get attention for his own benefit aka likes, comments, repost and the rest. No matter how cool he looks, or sounds, he is nobody in a global picture, no one is. All of this is a fucking system and i really don't see how can no one else can see it.
