Love the art idea as a bug enthusiast! The smarties caterpillar and watermelon moth were my favorites. A suggestion for keeping the pastel tone while adding shadow is to repeatedly layer the pastel tone for the shadows; it will darken the more you add. The cool/warm grey markers can also be used to create shadows when layered over colors.

Smarties in other parts of the world are soooooo different. Australia and Europe (I believe) have m&m type candies. I have actually seen those too once I believe in the US. I have a recollection of seeing some at an airport once. The colorless blender is such a weird tool. I think only Kat knows how to actually use it right. If you let your ink fully dry, it can bleach the colors to almost nothing (I am too impatient to do this and always make a mess 😝). I think that is the purpose of it. It definitely isn't a great tool to blend colors. I have also seen someone who put down the colorless blender first and went over it with their colors and apparently it helped blend their top colors together. I haven't tried this technique though. I look forward to seeing what you do in future videos with the markers. Knowing how good you are as an artist, I think they will suit you well.

Hi Courageous Painting Wow they turned out Great, Your not the only one mines spiders after a incident when I was younger just say that I can handle the tiny Red Spiders called Money. I'm still having Fun With my King Art Alcohol Markers, oh my Sharpie S notes that my Brother though I should try were wonderful but are in the Trash as all 12 were out of ink, aprart from one that would still do little bursts of ink , I'm now trying 12 markers at £6.99 from Lidl & so far not gone through the page, but like the Kings PONG. Thank you for your email, I'm changing my UA-cam photo after 6pm. I'm not sure to what yet, oh I've found a Polar Bear that I sketched but it's mouth is wonky as I was using a Refrance Drawing & I was in a hurry to finish & it went wonky though I have left it as it looks Fun. 😊

What the difference between alcohol markers and regular markers

Black licorice would be a good candy choice! 😉

This was such a fun idea. I did not understand your post asking for ideas, but I chose to wait for the video to see what you meant and what you would do. I am happy the video came out so nicely. Thank you for some great ideas. Unsolicited tip with alcohol markers: you can use pencil over it to correct color mistakes or make it darker or lighter or experiment how you can change the marker underneath. It is a well known adult coloring technique. Your art came out so beautifully and the stickers looked even better. ❤❤❤.

I think I meant to describe it as a curly line, like when you’re in grade school and you make a person with curly hair, you’d do like simple, circular lines to make a simple person with curly hair if that makes sense? I always get streaks when doing this or bends in my lines using a watercolor brush

I want to make swirl lines if that makes sense. When I use a watercolor soft brush the brush always bends as I’m making a circle swirl and then I get a weird bend or kink like stroke in my painting so I think I’m using the wrong brush? Any advice on something like this?

I love your courageous monsters. I found a pen at the dollar store that had lil one eyed monsters on them and it reminded me of all your lil cute monsters. Your videos are always an inspiration.
