Fair enough! Both are super easy to use and you can build your deck on SWUDB and import to either program from there, so testing new decks is free and easy

Sideboard is a 10 card “bonus” section of the deck that allows you to prepare better for specific matches and swap out cards that are worse in those matchups for cards that are better after game 1

I don’t know that I love it, as it sends the damage at one unit, but its a repeatable, walking Tarkintown, so it could be pretty decent

I did a budget deck in set one with Leia. It was able to hang with aggro. Might need to update that list :)

I believe it would, as Grit is an ability. I don’t know that I would be burning that card on an early grit unit though, they typically have 1 toughness after Hans ability and can be dealt with using Bo-Katan

@@JarlAgonyOfficial MY husband built a Qi'ra deck and she has grit when she comes out. It kicked my butt. Thanks for the deck list I changed a lot in my deck and played well against my husbands Boba Fett deck.

I’m glad you like the list, however it is important to note that imprisoned can only be played on non-leader units, so you can’t use it on Qi’ra! That’s a tricky leader, and a ton of fun to play with, good luck!

I didn’t have that matchup come up live, there are some cards in here with that matchup in mind though, imperial Interceptor to help with A wing and R3, Open Fire and Force Choke are great against aggro in general, Aggression is a good card in that match, basically the idea is that you need to be the control deck until you can get their board under control and get to your Vader turn. It’s a tough matchup, but if you can get to the flip turn with a couple sabers and a motti in hand, you’ve got a shot

So after watching a few other videos on the subject, it sounds like the deck was tuned for the mirror and having a restock can win you game 1 in the control mirror, which is often the deciding game in long matches due to the tiebreaker rules (there’s a very interesting double blue iden that runs 3 Spark of Rebellion at a double aspect penalty 6 to grab Vigilance)

We have 27 ground units already, including 12 (I think) turn one plays. I was going for the Spectre flavor. I would say EBD is a sideboard card for aggro matches, and if you really wanted to, you could swap Kallus for Battlefield Marine, I don’t hate that, but Kallus is going to be better in long games. As for Reinforcement Walker, I don’t think this deck wants to play a long game, and Kallus is kind of filling the late game role. Thanks for watching!

Yellow was very nearly my choice here, I like the idea of sneak attacking Ghost and Zeb as power plays, but Green ultimately won out because of the Rebel package! Good luck Wednesday!

Yeah I realized that as I was editing, both are so late game that I think the point stands though, you’re frequently not caring about that clause

Attack Pattern Delta and General Krell were both late cuts, Delta can be strong, but it requires a LOT of setup and ultimately feels more like a “win more” card, and Krell just didn’t make it because I like Kallus better.

I was toying with yellow because Cunning has some fun toys, like Waylay and Sneak Attack, but ultimately felt that ECL once a game was better than possible Attack 3x a game. I am not willing to die on this hill though lol

Because we are an aggro deck, not really hoping to see Palpatine resources. It’s there as kind of a bailout top end.

Honestly, it’s not far down my list. I’ve got a spicy list I’ll be recording this weekend, and then was going to do Chewie or Chirrut. Chewie is tough because his deploy is so late, but I have a few ideas!

@@JarlAgonyOfficial awesome dude! Can't wait. I have a Chewie deck from Hannonz, another deck tech guy, but I'm missing the Luke Skywalker JKs needed so the deck is really casual haha. Chewie upgraded is really fun, I hit with 13 damage yesterday!

I don’t think you can run heroic blue without Luke JK…the card is SO pushed, but that’s why it’s $35

I can give it a shot. I think this lists upgrades are basically replacing Palpatine and kallus with Vader as our end game unit, but maybe there’s a more midrange Tarkin list that exists in another color.

@@JarlAgonyOfficial I don't think the colors are different, but I rather think the sideboard is the most important. The reason being that he can be pretty aggro-ish vs control decks and could potentially go into midrange vs aggro decks. I don't know what to do about midrange decks, however. The base is also 50/50 between Tarkintown and basic red base. I'd think Kallus is slept on, tbh. The card draw in Tarkin is pretty good and the ambush deals with some nasty stuff. I'm not too sure about Benthic and Motti being in there as well.

Motti is nice as a finisher, but requires some setup (like a big enough unit to be the actual finisher) and Benthic has a very low floor but a medium ceiling. You could consider Mercenary Company instead of Benthic, you still miss the Imperial synergies, but maintain the Trooper synergies, while gaining a powerful mid game removal unit that trades well. And the more I play with Kallus, the more I like him. Being able to ambush Kallus turn 4 and ambush Mercenary Company turn 5 into card draw off Kallus (assuming the board state is appropriate) is very good. I think Vader is also a great midrange upgrade for this list over Palpatine

@@JarlAgonyOfficial Vader is a must have, absolutely. I haven't considered Merc Company, but I might try it out. I've been running a Seventh Sister and i've found she also works pretty well as they tend to target her and aleviate some pressure off of your other units, or she just clears their ground arena slowly.

Seventh sister is a bomb and great against aggro, but as you mention, gets targeted quickly

They are the Gamegenix sliding cases. I like them a lot, they fit a tight penny sleeve, but a traditional sleeve is just a bit too big

There were 12 players at the event I played last night and 4 of them were on Luke Green, I contemplated not even releasing this deck tech because it seems to be spiking in popularity right now and I didn’t want to be accused of riding its rise lol I agree, it’s an excellent toolbox deck and UWing can only get better as more small cost Command units are printed in the future!

My main deck is Krennic Red control at the moment, but I do plan on taking this deck to a local event tonight, so I’ll update after!

Appreciate the feedback, I love the idea of an overlay, but having two very young children really limits my editing time these days. I will consider this for future videos though!

With the format as heavy with spot removal (at least my local meta), Sabine rarely gets to attack. I personally will hold a force choke for turn three when I’m playing against it. I think the burst capabilities of Leia outweigh the drawback of the one turn delay, but I do see what you’re saying. As for ECL, idk. I don’t really feel the loss too much. It’s certainly powerful, but not mandatory Thanks for the comment!

Only suggestion I have is I’m a fan of commentary/explaining decisions/choices during match videos but not everyone is a fan or wants to/is able to do that

That’s great! Aggro sentinels don’t really matter on farm worlds, as you don’t spend much time there and can portal away, and the ranks on mine are great, but any platinum base is great for passive income now that Activated Indium is worth so little!
