I’m an Irish fitness professional working in Budapest, Hungary.
My academic background is in Strength & Conditioning for Sports (BSc awarded by LIT Tipperary) & in Coaching Science (MSc from University College Dublin).
My coaching clients range from combat sports athletes from various disciplines, rugby players, soccer / hockey guys & also many general population fat loss / post injury rehabilitation clients.
I’m a fanatical student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & enjoy the odd bit of rugger too!

@@Tarmobob-w7w I program often for grapplers & wrestlers as the isometric contraction into a press taxes the upper body & produces lactate similarly to how they need in the sport. But it can also be used as a way to freshen up your upper body routine for hypertrophy if you want a departure from standard bench press variations

What does this help in
It’s a nice one to facilitate co-contractions between all the lower limb. I love it as a rehab option for sports guys.

What's the purpose of this exercise?
It’s a nice drill to explore some end range positions of hip external rotation. I like it elevated on the box as sometimes clients struggle to get to the positions from the floor due to mobility restrictions
@@conormurray6496 As a content creator to a content creator, just a bit of honest feedback. It would be a good idea to include information about what the exercise is good for in the video it self, I would also include who would benefit the most from given exercise etc. Don't ever under appreciate how little people know, especially if you are expert. It happens to me all the time, I think that something is common knowledge but it isn't and the main point I am making is completely missed by majority of the audience. And that is on me, not the audience. I don't mean no disrespect, so if you don't appreciate the unsolicited advice, sorry for that mate. 😉

Most of the videos posted on this channel are delivered to my online coaching clients via another app where we are discussing the context with which the drills are applicable to them. But you are right for others that are not in this category I’m sure it’s looking very nebulous and unclear what the goal of certain drills are!
