I got the Kindle Colorsoft because i wanted to see my books in color. It was $280 and I'm not sure it was worth it.

    This is how it works you have a color screen on black and white screen. If you are doing a review - you should be at least aware of technology behind what you are reviewing. Yikes.

    I think you made this Video just to get Views. You obviously don't know anything about E-Readers. Like someone else already said in the comments what you are seeing is Exactly what E-Ink Readers do, all E-Ink readers do this. The Video you shot shows a Very Colorful Display. The Context looks Excellent. I have had my Kindle Colorsoft for a few days now and I absolutely 😍 Love it. It is as Good 😊 as Advertised. Many of your Videos on your channel have Less than 100 views. The few you have that have gotten more than a 1,000 views were because you made a Video on a Trending topic like this release of the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft E-Reader. You still have less than 200 followers.... I suggest you Stick to making Videos on Topics you actually know what you are talking about. In this Video you have a Rude Thumbnail photo that is Trashing the Kindle Colorsoft. You did that to get views. Your Video Only proved you are Ignorant about how all E-INK E-Readers work. What you showed on screen was a High Quality Colorful Display that looks Better than Advertised.

    It's not a flicker, it's a refresh. It's not like an LED or LCD screen. It's e-ink andit needs to refresh with you zoom. Just the nature of the beast.

  • @GalaxyFur
    @GalaxyFur 2 місяці тому

    Color e-readers tend to suffer from ghosting and other quality standards compared to black-and-white e-readers slightly more, so they "sometimes" refresh more to eliminate ghosting. The new 12th Gen Kindle Paperwhite and Paperwhite Signature Edition also have better battery life, as color e-ink devices use more battery due to the increased processing to turn and render pages. Color e-readers like the Kindle Colorsoft also don't display text as sharply and cleanly as a black and white e-reader. So, the new 12th-gen Paperwhite Kindles actually have sharper imagery and text. Plus, they have better contrast ratios and actual dark modes, which are missing from the Colorsoft. Technically, the true "flagship" model of the Kindle e-reader lineup on paper is the "Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition." Based on both raw performance plus feature set. The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition currently costs $199.99. While it lacks color, it offers sharper image/text clarity plus a better contrast ratio. Mainly because it doesn't require an additional RGB panel layer. It has better battery life and offers a true dark mode option. Unlike the Colorsoft, it also comes in more than just metallic black. The Colorsoft is an excellent device. However, it does sacrifice performance, battery life, pricing, and the color choice from the Paperwhite Signature Edition to offer that color display. So, one has to pick the right e-reader for them. It's an excellent device that nicely complements the basic Kindle and Paperwhite models.

    is this your first time using an e-reader? This is not a malfunction, it's literally how e-ink works, specifically color e-ink. It needs to refresh to prevent ghosting.

    literally how I felt reading this prequel. I thought that since "they both die at the end" had a lot of potential, the second one would've been way better. I didn't hate it but, as you said, it is not a prequel and doesn't give a better understanding of the first. I love worldbuilding so much and love when writers think deeply about the universe they're creating, but it just feels like Adam Silvera didn't do the same and can't really explain how his own world works. Maybe it was his choice to keep how Deathcast functions a mystery, I just didn't like it. Also (spoiler), did you understand the whole "one more person has to die" thing? Like I understood there was a problem with the system so some people were dying without warning but I either missed what caused it or it wasn't explained at all...

    • @glorioustomato
      @glorioustomato 2 роки тому

      Oh my gosh, yes. That's exactly it. It feels like he can't explain his own world. Also, in the first book, the term "deckers" was said to have come about in a different way than in this book. (Spoiler answer) When the founder went to explore why some people died without being notified, he came back saying that there would be twelve who registered that would die without being notified. Eleven had been discovered at this point so one more registered person would die without knowing. There is no info on how he knew this, though. So I think we were supposed to worry that the last one might be Orion. (Insert eye roll) I could not agree more with your take on the book!

And I want to read Thursday Murder Club! I have to admit that I didn't realize thrift stores sold books! We don't need any new books (especially right before Christmas!), but we might take a load to Goodwill to donate. We usually donate to our local library, but they suspended their big annual sale during the pandemic, so they stopped taking donations temporarily.
