Evaporator Core replacement on 07 F-250
Hey it’s me from school 6th grader who asked to tase Ruger heheheheheheh
@@Kingdomgirl79 lol 😂 thanks for finding my UA-cam!! 🙂🙂😂
Could you add the part number for the bellhousing adapter plate.
you'll need 4BT to Small Block Ford adapter. I purchased mine from diesel conversion specialists.
Try putting some Kopr-Shield on the posts and see if that helps. I work on Electric Light Rail trains and we put that stuff on all our grounding cables. It’s conductive and keeps corrosion away.
@@dirtbiker200622 found on Amazon 57$ for 8oz. Must be good stuff.
That’s cool !
Well done
Thanks for the video! Got a question. Had a shop work on my 07 6.0 AC, I couldn't get it charged. They found the accumulator/dryer was plugged up as well as the orifice tube. Said they also cleaned off the evaporator. Got it back home and found MANY screws missing from the evaporator box. In fact, it was hanging open about 1/2 inch at the top. I was too pissed to take it back to this shop and didn't want them to screw it up any more. Got OEM screws, snapped the two halves back in place (bottom looked like it was already together), and found where all the missing screws went to around the top, front, under the box retainer bracket, and toward the firewall near the heat shield. I saw you working from under the fender without the wheel well liner. Are there screws that hold the bottom of the evap box together there? From what you were doing, I'm guessing I need to take off the wheel well liner and see if they're missing as well. Thanks! (from a retired firefighter)
Yes there were screws at the bottom. Was a little challenging but they're accessible.
Thank you 👍🏼
Sounds cool. Add some water and a pressure washer to hydrovac utilities for $$$
Nope. not going to get into that.... Thanks though.
Awesome video! Would this be able to flush the heater core as well? I believe mine is clogged up with previous owner putting headgasket sealer in the coolant to "fix" a headgasket issue.
@ivanvega2821 I do not think it will. Heater core flushes require removal of the hoses off it directly and flow water or cleaning solvent through it. Flow it both ways.

you needed a video of this?
Hahaha 🤣 yeap! It's that time of year where it's gonna be flooded with them! Got mine out of the way early.
I literally tried to blow those shavings off the truck😢
Didn't have my compressor out, but I raked most into the bed.
Nice!
Thanks! Part 2 is being uploaded currently

Why tf you sound like that
Awesome
Got a 4bt mounted to a tranny on a new chassis. 1947 Chevy truck. Got all the body panels, bed, etc. but missing pedals, fuel tank, lines, and pump, wiring from battery to alternator and starter, wires for brake lights/turn signals/headlights etc, exhaust, driveshaft, and a few other bits and bobs… never done an engine swap or anything really more than brakes, but I’m mechanically inclined and good around cars and such. What all would be required to start the motor do you think? Not sure if I have the p pump or the other one… not sure if the starter or the turbo is good… at this point I’m not even sure if it’s locked up or not. It did come out of a skid steer like yours. Had it sitting at a local diesel & automotive shop for 5 years after he put the motor, trans, and cab onto a brand new 2500 chassis, extended by a few feet from the original. Bed is from a 49 Chevy long bed iirc. Got all the parts, just need to put them together. What tips would you have?
Make sure it has oil, a fuel supply, and a battery to run the starter. That should be it and you can crank it on the ground with chain holding with engine hoist so it doesn't flip over 🤭🤣
What did the dealer charge you for it? I’m looking at one now
$6k
@@raheemcruse25 good price! How many hours?

Nice transplant
That blue colored engine is beautiful also it's essentially a 6BT 5.9 Cummins with 2 cylinders missing the downside on these 4BT cummins is that it vibrates more than the 5.9
Yes but for me I don't mind 😂
Did you start with coolant already in the system?
No, I removed lower radiator hose to drain the system.
I'm from NC. I've been wanting to 4bt swap a mustang just to say it can be done
it actually has. Just like 6.0 powerstroke in a crown vic
I just finished watching all of the swap videos so far, great progress. I've been tinkering with my 4bt here and there getting her prepped to drop into my '95 Bronco. I can almost garuntee you'll have to make a plate to cover the oil fill & find an alternative, I put the dodge vacuum/ps pump combo on mine and it wouldn't clear the filll neck, I went with a valve cover fill to avoid any belt clearance issues if/when I hook up the factory ac. With the tach, if you're looking to use the factory gauge then I've heard of people running 5.9 harmonic balancers and cutting 2 more grooves into it or making a 4 groove reluctor plate and adapter to bolt to it and then running (I think) a 7.3 crank sensor and hooking into the factory wiring, not sure of the specific details however. I'm going with the dakatota digal tach interface and am going to use a stator tap on the alternator, hopefully doesn't give me too much trouble. Some people in the forums use the rear tank with the factory fuel pump wired to the switch in the dash to fill the front tank, when it's full they switch it back to the front tank to turn the fuel pump off.
Yeah decided to look for valve cover fill.. tach, I found some that would thread into the bell and use flywheel teeth, not sure about that 100% yet. Yeap i hopefully will have final video up pretty soon, waiting on gauges to get here and the power steering. Fuel, your right i could do that but I'm fine with single tank for a while.
@@raheemcruse25 I noticed the ports in my adapter plate as well but haven't heard of anyone actually successfully using them, it could certainly be done.
Great video, hope to see you post more about your build! I've swapped a 4bt in to a 01 ranger and that truck was a LOT of fun, now the same engine is sitting in a squarebody suburban. You will really like the F150 with the little 3.9L. Look for a HX30 turbo, will be a HUGE improvement over the H1C that should be on it now. What gear ratio are you running in your axles? I had 2.74 in my ranger so I could get it up to 70-75mph on the interstate without reving it sky high.
Not sure on turbo the engine cane out of a skidsteer that caught fire. Had to replace turbo. It off Amazon 🤣 and whatever the factory ratio for the 4 speed. Haven't looked that deep yet. But will be uploading over weekend.
@@raheemcruse25 Nice to see another brother doing this kinda of work, I’m about to start a project similar to this. Did you rebuild the motor after it came out of that burned up skid steer?
@@skyraiderjet no. New starter and turbo was all.
