    New to bag research but the preponderance of 'tactile' stylings amazes me lol. I mean I left my army guy play in grade school!

    In 2024 I purchased this bag. Being in Afghanistan for 8 years, I carried the MOAB 10 and it was all I needed going from FOB to FOB. The MOAB 6 at first was disappointing because i was having the same issues you mentioned here on the video. The bag wasn't packed full so i couldn't understand why it just didn't sit right on my back. Adjusting the belt a few times here and there I found the sweet spot to carry. And it sits perfectly on my back without all the issues before. Thanks for the video.

    If you put a larger bottle in you’re not supposed to do the zipper up. That’s why the mesh is in there, to allow for the expansion.

    Tighten the strap up and that will get rid of the "back gap"

    The 511 Rush series in general is very uncomfortable. I have an AMP 24 that I use for my work bag and I love it. I've carried that bag on countless EMS calls. So, when I was putting together a 72-hour bag for search and rescue, of course, I went with 511. But this time I decided to try the Rush 72. As far as organization, it's the best I've ever seen. It's bigger than it looks and you can put a ton of stuff in it. And there are mesh and pockets everywhere for stashing different things. But, the shoulder straps are so uncomfortable. When wearing the pack for hours while searching for lost or injured people, forget it. I have to set it down somewhere and go back for it before we move to a new area. Great video though. I was looking between the two bags you have there to replace a Northface sling I use now. I think I'm going to go with the Push.

    Wow guys great video some great sounds. I’ve been really wanting to hear the TONEX really work. As I’m a veteran pensioner that was medically discharged was a real crappy time loosing your ID and the job you just fit into like glove. Yet also lost 14.5 Yr marriage 2 great kids that my replacement has filled with some type lies that I lucky to hear anything from my two kids who where very much daddy’s princess and my little man. Replacement never worked a day in life now my sons just following thinking that’s how you live with hand outs. Living on just pension and my service dog. Australia dollar has really kicked all music instruments to effects are over the top. When just a straight USA strat over 2K. A custom shop on rack $6500. Pedals $500 for quality made ones. It’s a huge thing to save for a tonex pedal

    Why not when you get 1 l bottle get a bottle that's only 4 in high and 20 in wide and try sticking in there they do make narrower ones that work a lot better than what you got there

    In your opinion, would this bag incur the wrath of the airlines for carry on or is it too big for that? In my experience airlines don't seem to care about packs (within reason), but that may vary according to location and airline.

    Within the first few minutes, you make a hell of a point. I'm 6' and I weigh a lot more than you. This bag sits very high on my shoulders. But I still love it. Haven't figured out everything I'm going to put in it yet, so I haven't had a chance to walk with it for a long period of time. But you're probably right about all the weight being on the shoulders.

    How would you say Hazard 4 compares in quality to 5.11 and Maxpedition? I have a Moab 6 right now for hiking but it doesn’t have a water bottle holder. I like the sling pack style because I don’t want to take my pack off when I need to grab something. I was looking at the Watson on Amazon but I have never heard of Hazard 4. I was also looking at the Mobius 2 and the Maxpedition Veldspar. Bottom line I guess I need a bag for short hikes that has a water bottle holder and it has to be at least 10 litres.

  • @dwaynerobertson383
    @dwaynerobertson383 3 роки тому

    I have the Companion, and thinking about getting the Black. Wish I had bought it first. Neither one of these is designed for batoning - that's what your BK 16 and my schf36 is for, and even then how necessary is it really? Unless everything around you is completely soaking wet you never need to baton. Just need enough dry tinder to take a spark easily to create a flame to add small dry fuel quickly & accordingly. I wouldn't baton with either Mora, because I carry two different knives for two different purposes. I treat both of my knives as knives, but the schf36 also gets treated like the axe. Even with it, I'd make wedges and only use the knife to score the split, and the wedges will take care of the splitting (large diameter splitting I mean, not 3 or 4 inch diameter branches). Unless your environment is utterly soaking wet you never need to split anything (for fire). If it is that wet, the schf36 will split 3 or 4 inch diameter hardwood for generations without question. The Mora's are great for fine work and processing animals (large or small), and they hold a sharp edge for a long time if you don't bash them up. Great knives, either way. Justifying the price difference is a simply matter of opinion. Nice video, man. Straight forward. That Black is sweet.

    Thanks for doing this review. I’m 6ft and intended on buying this bag. I also intended on carrying a bit of weight in it. I won’t be buying it now. It’s a huge bag and doesn’t make sense to pack it lightly. I already have smaller packs for that. I also have a hiking pack that is padded and fits me so I guess this one isn’t needed.
