Honestly, it will be a tough fight for either side without evidence. The judge could very well dismiss the case entirely since their is not enough supporting evidence. Unless the other driver was breaking some other traffic law such as speeding, it would be difficult to prove with the damage of the vehicle alone. It would be best to let the judge to dismiss the case that is unless he is ruling in favor of the driver who crashed into you in which case you should get a lawyer to request a dismissal of the case due to lack of evidence Although a winning case is a preferable outcome but it is unlikely, but a dismissed case is better than a losing one. This would also that you or your insurance would be responsible for the damage of your car, but you would not be held responsible for the other driver's car. Maybe but the driver only had to wait was 2 or 3 seconds. A lot less time than what it takes dealing with an accident. That doesn't include possible injuries.

I doubt he was speeding to a negligent level. Looks like a highway that could easily be 50+ mph limit. It appears he is going fast because the dash cam is standing still. A car driving past you at 50 mph would seem lightning fast.

Atleast have a license before you go talking about "defensive driving" skills And mind you that suburban lost any steering ability as soon as he locked the brakes up. You can literally hear the suburban just sliding along. Poor vehicle maintenance most likely plays a big factor.

@forin ok. Let’s not talk about licenses with a profile picture like yours. Second , don’t ever apply for a forensic engineer position. You won’t last a day. The brakes never locked up. No skid marks, No smoke from tires, and the truck wouldn’t continue to turn. It would continue in a straight forward motion. Even older suvs like that had ABS more often than not. I believe it came standard in full size chevy suvs. Third. There was plenty of open space in the oncoming traffic lane for a safe maneuver around the idiot blowing the light. It’s called reflexes. Some people have better ones than others. And some people just shouldn’t comment on posts if they don’t have a clue.

Yellow means caution not yield mf. Left turns means yield for all traffic if the light is not red. On coming traffic always has the right away.

No!!! If he goes the opposite direction, he has more chances of possibly taking out all the other vehicles on the other side. The right side has more open space than the left. Watch the video again And remember that, it depends on whether you are left or right-handed. You will naturally go to your stronger side

From what I learned from my experience, it does not matter how fast the driver is going through those lights, he still had the right of way and the person turning has the duty to yield. In other words, if that driver was going through the lights at 160 MPS and the driver making the turn is still at fault.

It's not the system's fault someone doesn't see the car in front of them and decides to turn.

@@CMV314 No you're right, but sometimes a plain green light can still be too risky for a left turn, especially if there's a hill and you can't see the oncoming vehicle coming over the horizon until the last second. That was an issue at an intersection where I live. There were so many accidents there and one too many deaths that they finally put a turn arrow and it stopped the problem. The only minor drawback is having to wait longer to turn left now.

@@CMV314left turns on a solid green light should be abolished; too many people don’t pay attention and either speed like a motherfucker or turn without looking at the opposing lanes. These types of intersections have more car accidents than any other type of street or road

@@msw0322 More car owners are switching to truck and SUV and when those two vehicles are wanting to turn left in front of me it's make it more difficult to see oncoming traffic. I can still do it but it's just difficult and scary when I can't see oncoming traffic from far away

@@ditsydaisysdo you know for a fact how fast said Tahoe was going and the posted speed limit on said road? Too, the green light was still green several seconds afterward. The sedan was by far the main cause of that crash, coupled with its driver being oblivious.
