How to get a set of your plans
"No one's ever been disappointed in getting one." To your face at least. 😅
Hi mr Parker, what is the length of the “H” legs
Mine is 24"
I heard the music and clicked away.
It's probably worth mentioning that, in the UK at least, our Fire & Rescue Service insist that tea-light candles MUST be placed in non-combustible holders. The thin foil or plastic around theses things is NOT sufficient by itself. The good news is that using proper holders can enhance the look, and the value, of the project. There is plenty of choice on Amazon. It's better to be safe than sorry - especially if you plan on selling your tea-light projects, as, should the worst occur, you could be held liable.
Very nice work. Thankyou.
Nice work Brother
Good job. I’ll try this type of chair when I get some material.
Great video , really enjoyed watching and the description was great.
where can I buy the plans ?
What happened here? These videos were being uploaded semi-regularly and then stopped. Great videos! Is Andrew still around?
How in the world does this video only have 30 likes? Beautiful work. Great design.
Andrew what length of screw do you typically use to attach the legs to the table top?
Great vid!
Nice video Andrew. I was given 3 whiskey barrels, making light fixtures out of the bands and will look at making chairs from the staves. Staves are not as wide on whiskey barrels. Whiskey barrels are used once vs. 3-4 for wine so they are not make with quality in mind. Thanks again.
Where on the plans does it say how far back the seat back is from the front?
It's on the template for the legs.
If you want to know how to make it yourself, just look for woodprix instructions.
great job brother, girl is way into art and I am going to make one for her. your attention to detail is amazing thank you sir.
I made it myself thanks to stodoys website.
I know you're not active anymore but if you get a chance, I'd love to see the jig for making sharpening stone boxes that you mention at 8:28.
Will whisky barrels work as well?
nice work!
Hey I’ve seen a lot of plans, projects and tutorials. If you’re just beginning start up with Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible.
Woody hyezmars woodworking bible
You handed out a lot of useful tips. Thank you.
My only improvement would be to upgrade the size of screw from a #8 to a much stronger #10.
the plans call for #6 but I am using #8 which seem perfect
Where do you buy the whiskey material
Hey Andrew I really appreciate the Level Plumb and Square vides you made regarding assembling an Adirondack chair using the Gold Country Woodworks plans. I feel your videos will help me tremendously when I try to assemble my first Adirondack chair. I had a quick question regarding what hardware you use to assemble your chairs? - I have been searching for various hardware kits but I’m am very interested in what supplies you used. I hope to hear from you soon and I really appreciate it Thank You…..
nice project sir I would like to know was the angle of the stave sorry to ask I whish I could make one for my wife thanks alot
nice project sir I would like to know was the angle of the stave sorry to ask I whish I could make one for my wife thanks alot
if you used a spring clamp on the end of your tape you don't have to fight it jumping off.any sources for getting barrels?where can i get the plans?
I really like your solution for scooping out the seat. Very simple and effective. Scott
Very interesting build! I've liked axe handle stools and hope to build a few. Thanks for such a detailed series. Scott
Good videos...................thanx so much.
That was great! Thank you.
Hi Andrew is there a postage cost to your plans? I live in Barbados
What size screws to attach the back, #6x 1 1/2 or #6x 1 5/8
How many barrels would I need for 2 chairs?
why do u glue the top instead of just bracing it underneath?
Six of one, half-dozen of another.
my left ear enjoyed hearing him explain how to do that
Andrew, plans call for legs to be 20" long. Yours seem longer?? Did you deviate from the plan?? How long are your front legs, thanks!!!
my plans state 23"
@@MenagerieBocceVenue so the front legs are 23 inches long?
Why exactly couldn't you use oil on a stone that you already had used water on. It's just water, and it evaporates eventually. It seems to me you could then use oil on it if you wanted to. No big deal.
+eqlzr2 Oil and water do not mix, so the water will just sit on the surface. But you can clean out an oil stone so you can use it with water.
Sometimes I alternate oil and water on a stone. Sometimes soapy water. Some oils get gooey after awhile and this keeps the stone really clean. Your stones will behave differently with different oils, water, soapy water etc and this allows you to select a lube for the kind of edge you want. For example, my hard black Arkansas stone cuts more aggressively with soapy water, barely cuts at all with oil. This technique works for me and I don't find any downside to mixing oil and water.
Thanks Andrew. You just made my day.
Not a barrel top, but barrel head. Correct jargon from a winemaker.
Yep, lol. From a Barrel Stave Mill guy here :-)
I've made a couple sets of these and if you live somewhere with a lot of rain, I suggest Australian Timber oil. If you need to reapply in the following years, you simply wash the chair, let it dry and reapply. No sanding!!
Great work, great videos full of tips, i was looking for advices to bild this chair thanks for sharing.
What is the length of the front two legs ?
Did you ever find the answer to this?
Excellent Video! Thanks so much for taking the time to put these 3 together. I will be building one of these beginning this weekend.
did you build it?
nice work. can you outline the specific changes you made to the original plans from Gold Country Woodworks? i've just ordered a set and I'd be interested in hearing what angle you chose for the back, heights for the arms, etc. thanks!
will one wine barrel produce i chair?
i surely hope that you are going to get back into doing these more regularly I love them!!
I love your videos!
