This is the brother channel to my Sgt Vance shooting channel.
With the excess of footage I've been compiling on working on vehicles and home projects, it only seems right to separate the two.
This will not only ease the filing and retrieving of information but it could give me a chance to monetize the channel.

The latest and greatest upgrade to the ECHO CS-4910, Project Timber Wolf. In this video I take you through how I tool the stock bar and chain off the saw and installed the new upgraded more aggressive ones. Everything is simple that you can do yourself if you own a saw. Look for another video working video on picking up some logs. As always, thanks for watching!

Greetings all! As the title says this is another Sawing video, and boy is it a long one. I had to reduce the quality to 720p due to the length so those of you who enjoy watching a little work here is the video for you. I'm using the ECHO CS-4910 to cut up some stray logs, limb a tree and buck into logs at the end. The saw is running great, I finally got in my RPM reader so I was able to adjust ...

After getting the ECHO running right I finally hit the buy button on the A2Designs CS-4910, CS-450 air filter upgrade. In this video I show you what the kit looks like on the saw and how to install it. The filters look to be more accessible online rather then the stock and also increase the filter area by an advertised 300%. I'll provide an update when I get more time then these two cuts with t...

In this video I bring you along for about 10 minutes to cut up some logs for firewood. This was only a short ride along. I'm using the CS-4910 after the last set of videos (unmodified) and its back to running great. If the RPM's seem low its because I'm trying not to burry the bar in the dirt. I do have a new tool coming to assist with all the bending over and log kicking. No voiceovers and a l...

Echo Saw Running Issues Part 2

Hey guys here's part two of the series. Sorry for dragging these out but with time for film and editing, not to mention doing everything else I decide to make this collection into easier digestable sections instead of the whole cake. In this video I test the bad fuel in theory and observe my results. Thanks for watching. Yeah typo noted on the title screen *CS -4910.
Echo Saw Running Issues

Greetings all, sorry for the absence. After recovering I got back out to cut some trees up....well ALOT of trees up. The Echo CS-4910 has been great up until the last two outings. The last 2 to 3 tanks I have noticed an almost skip at high speed as well as lack of horse power to maintain RPM during cutting. Its something of a struggle now as you will see in this video. Final Farmall Season Cut
Переглядів 6463 місяці тому
This will be the final cut for the season on the power right away. I used the cub and the woods 42C and had no issues. The steering slop has not returned and the front tire is holding air. Next I I'll tackle the pulsing hydraulics and while the sheet metal off trouble shoot the electrics, and finally rear end fluids. Stay tuned for updates!

Why not pick up a Gearhead Performance exhaust deflector, and ditch the oem muffler diffuser cap, screen and restrictor tube? In addition (if you haven't already done so), delete the oem carb adjustment screw limiters (easy job), so you can tune air screws for optimum performance. I gave this saw to my son in law, and before I even handed him the machine, I performed the above-mentioned changes, which really wake it up quite noticeably. The oem pipe configuration is really choking those saws down, and the Gearhead deflector lets the muffler flow, while only increasing noise levels slightly. The A2Design air filter upgrade is a home run on that saw.
hey , im not the only one 😂, but i have a 24 AND a28 inch bar
@@botfoblhrp Noice!
@@botfoblhrp Noice!
Do you have a 590 or 620 as well? The only way this mod makes sense is so all your saws have the same bar/chain. 3/8 is slower than .325 and slowing the saw down. If you want to upgrade it buy husky c33(it's very new) or stihl 23rs chain for the original .325 bar, it faster than the oregon low kick back chain they come with.
@@nseric1233 nope but I would gladly take one of each please 😂. What your saying makes sense, I’m in no way a professional in the area so this is more trial and error, so I appreciate the info. I will say with the wood I’m cutting (majority of cherry) while my saw isn’t screaming as much as with the .325 but it is pulling the saw through the cut more aggressively like I like, and with the beefier bar I seem to be pinching and getting stuck in logs less. And yeah I sharpened the smaller chain and depth links at the same time with a Shtil tool. Keep the great info coming, thanks forte help and watching.
I have a question: what tool did you use to raise the vehicle to allow you crawling under the vehicle to change oil
@@AnhNguyen-iq7fs great question, they are some basic vehicle ramps from Walmart. Rhino ramps I believe they are called, I use them for all my vehicles to include the truck when changing oil.
got X3 echos, cs400, cs490 and the cs4910.... all w/ carb and muffler mods. on the 490 and 4910 i used a cs400 air filter adapter, now i can use the same auto style filter on all 3... just run'em topless. these saws scream! yeah they may not be "pro" saws, but talk about reliability! if you can find a deal on the cs-400 i highly recommend this saw, but its a MUST to mod carb and gut the cat outta the muffler... oh yeah, throw the safety bar away and put a 16" bar from Baileys on it. makes for one helluva limbing saw! BOLO for next vid! 👍👍
great saw!
@@mrmojorisen6336 yeah I think I lucked out or chose a good one 🤷🏻♂️. I did another mod the other day for the bar and chain to keep up. Keep a look out for that video.

Oil capacity???
Usually with an oil change 5 to 5.5 quarts is all I get in it.
I do believe I mentioned the spark arrestor in your first video ;) haha Glad she's back up and running! Now if you'd like to dramatically add power to that saw, remove the tube, visible in the muffler, and cut away at the arrestor cover, to create a larger exit. Then cut the limiter tabs off the carb, and add fuel to adjust for the added air flow. Viola, an easy 20% power increase in 15 minutes! The saw will also run cooler, thus extending it's life. There's also a well designed air filter upgrade by a2designs, if you haven't seen it. Not particularly cheap, but fixes one of the only faults with this saw, being the weak air filter. Enjoy the Echo! Great machines.
@@ericfore you sure did.
Thank you!!!!!
@@jesserenee6948 glad to help, if you have to do this I would buy the kit….even today.
Milwaukee M 18 dual battery chainsaw your answer just pop in a battery.
@@jmj267 wouldn’t mind it but I’m cutting so much I would need 20 charged batteries to be at the ready, not to mention overheating the motor. This is just a small hiccup, I’m sure it will be corrected soon. My wife operates a Dewalt 20v 12” battery saw. It’s nice for liming and quick jobs when you would normally have a saw idling when moving about the trees or skidding logs and the odd branch finds it way to the landing.
Good theory, but seems to have the same problem. Did you check the muffler screen yet? Disassemble the carb and clear the passages? Good luck!
@@ericfore yup, next up is the least invasive 😉. I appreciate the help, keeps me from thinking I’m crazy for making my decisions.
@@mechanicvance2480 muffler screen is super quick and easy, so I'd do that first. Watch out for the little phillip head screws on the muffler outlet... They are loctited on, so get a good fitting driver. Carb disassembly is easy on this saw too. Echo's are my favorite brand to wrench on, for their ease of service. You're not crazy! These are awesome machines, so you'll be happy to get it rippin' again. I'd also investigate a muffler and carb mod, if i were in your shoes. Cheers
The carburetor needs adjusted is all...it needs tuned....
@ thanks for the input, I’ve got one more avenue to go down before I start fiddling with the carb, I have to admit it intimidates me to mess with it
@@mechanicvance2480 If you haven't modded the carb limiters, you can't really screw much up. It's only dangerous to the saw, to run it too lean, which the limiters prevent. Try backing out the L screw first, until you get proper throttle response. Then the High jet for top end tuning. Lastly adjust Idle. I wouldn't do any adjustments however, until you clean out the carb. On this saw, it takes just a minute to remove and disassemble the carb. Blast carb cleaner thru the various holes, screen, and the metering needle valve. You'd be surprised what fines can get thru the fuel filter and plug up a carb. A brand new saw will change tune as it breaks in, but I've never seen one break in as far off as yours seems, which is why I suspect a fuel blockage. Good Luck!
Not sure how long you've owned the saw, but I'd check these things first: Muffler Spark arrestor screen could be clogged (use a torch lighter to clear it up), blocked fuel filter, or some gunk in the carburetor. The idle seems decent, so I wouldn't suspect an air leak. These are great saws, I've run a few of them before. Big improvement after removing the pipe inside the muffler, and re-tuning the carb with the limiter tabs removed. When doing a carb service, I like to remove the H and L jets too, before soaking in the Ultrasonic cleaner. Just don't get them mixed up! They might be shaped differently for this saw, I don't recall...
Thanks for the ideas. I’m actually working on an update video today.
@@mechanicvance2480 right on. Hope it helps. These saws are pretty bulletproof, so it is mostly likely a fuel issue, or muffler blockage
"Help me Erica....your my only hope." @marriedwithsmallengines
What to do if bearing is loose and is falling out? How can i tighten it? Its almost as if bearing became too small od something, this ring that tightens on doesnt really help
If its the bearing that came with the bike then its probably worn out or missing some ball bearings. Take it out and look at it really close. I would replace it either way, if your questioning it and your that far in why chance it. Hope that helps.
Mowing is relaxing to watch, too bad Cubs don't have cup holders. Is that the starter rod hanging down??
@@stevek8829 probably why I don’t mind doing it as much. The rod hanging down under the tractor is the battery box lid. I have it but due to the ongoing electrical issue of not charging I leave it off to plug the tractor in from time to time.
@@mechanicvance2480 I don't have the lid either. It's easier to remove the cable that way anyway. Thanks for the relaxing vid. Take good care of the baby.
You needed to spin that drill faster. A peice of dowel rod or anything circular and put it in that drill and another. Spin the drill with the other
@@heffedirte6243 I’ll give it a shot the inevitable next time, thanks for the tip.
I was going to suggest that you should get the cold smoker attachment that goes on the side. It hold more chips and works great if you're doing cheese or a long cold smoke on fish, other than that it just is nice that you don't have to keep filling your chips up all the time.

CitruSafe grill cleaner. Spray, scrub, wipe, repeat.

Really good tutorial. Not too much fluff. Keeps things safe, and explains how to do it.
My master belt is just like this one except it has a solid door. It will trip the breaker after about 10 hours. The breaker is a arc fault interrupt as required by code 2 years ago. It is 15 amp. I’m thinking that I’ve got a shorted element. do you have any ideas?
@@peterhaughton8110 sounds like your more educated then I on the matter but yeah I think that’s reasonable, or your breaker is wearing out . 10 hours is a heck of a long time to have your smoker on, what are you cooking?
Usually a butt or a picnic. The set temp is usually around 210 to 220 the weight of the meat or often times have me on a 16 hour cook time to get to the plateau of 195. These 800 W heating elements should not pull more than 6 A. That is using ohms law at 115 V minimum. At 66 years old, having been working on cars, including EV’s and hybrids on a professional level for the last 50 years, and having always loved science, physics, and electricity, this stuff makes sense to me and I can work it out in my head . The new house which we are living in, has what are known as arc fault breakers. Typical of the federal government trying to protect us from ourselves, they will trip if you look at them sideways while holding a hairdryer. I can actually think of a scenario where I could hook a digital storage oscilloscope the fault to determine what caused the breaker to trip. But, I would rather drink beer, catch, catfish, and cook chicken wings on my dock.
Kamao Ma o pay❤
Thank you so much. Yours is the only video I found that shows how to wire it on. I’m glad you took the time. Is it still working properly? I’m worried about the new wires being thinner.
Yeah everything’s working fine with it, used it about a dozen times with no problems.
It is only 800 W at 120 V. You could probably get by with 18 gauge wire for that distance for years and years without overloading the circuit. I don’t know what wire gauge is with the kit, but I’m sure that it is sufficient.
Thanks

Is this car eating oil? 6.5qt went in and only about 4qt went out! Yes, I made sure car was warm before draining, yes I opened the drain under the hood, car was sloping a bit back at around 15-20 degrees (where the plug is), yes waited 10min or so for all oil to drain and even poured half a cup of fresh oil to "flush" a bit. Is this normal? Thanks. P.S. Regularly check oil levels and did have to add oil in between changes, but not a lot. Never saw an oil spill under the car.

Hi. Nice video! Please I have some questions that you might help me with. I have a Schwinn Santis and the bottom bracket looks a lot like this one. 1. Is this bike in the video also a Schwinn bike? If so would you know if this uses the same bottom bracket of a Schwinn Santis? 2. What is the internal diameter of the bottom bracket housing on the frame of the bike on the video (where you screw in the bottom bracket itself)? 3. I believe the Santis also uses a non sealed bottom bracket. If so, I would like to replace mine with a sealed one. Please which Shimano sealed bottom bracket part would you recommend? 4. Do you have the link to the tool kit that you mentioned from Amazon? Thank you very much for your time and support! Fabio
