@@Kalasabatapp that's very disappointing. I'd contact them and see what they say. Urbanwolfclub absolutely has a thick layer of it...as you can see on the videos. Frankly I think they are excellent.

​@@argosb1543Contacted them, they suggested buying more expensive model from them... Notice that your boot is constructed the same way cardboard is hidden by the 1mm insole and boran. Regarding the wave, is like that because there is no cork or not as much supporting it when they hammer the layers down after the glueing process. My next step is to contact Ali and warn distributors.

The wave could be that, but I have a pair of Parkhurst with similar wave when I got them and well I know they have a lot of cork. So could be, but know it does happen.

@@Angel-AbC9 I mean it is a style preference. These are less so than say Thursday. They make the axeman boot that is more traditional rounded toe box.

@@earlyculyer4103 I make them. There's a video I have on doing so. They are Paracord. Basically you see if you want your old laces longer or shorter, measure out Paracord (I find 550 7 stand to work well) and then cut and burn the ends. This video shows it pretty well.

@@jeffos8724 I'd imagine if you talked to them they would. I can't imagine why not. May not have the fit and finish of like a dress boot but I don't see why they wouldn't. I only say that as well you see In the videos they aren't particularly dressy styles in my opinion but I can't see why they couldn't.

@@josemanuel2244 only difference is the shape...not the cap. Both I think are available with or without. Colt is more almond toe vs a more rounded toe box. No preference..just for style of outfit or such.

@@motischenker8409 mine is absolutely leather however thin. This is probably a weird thing to put on this video but I'd highly suggest checking out my Urbanwolfclub videos as one shows some of the process of being made and they have leather throughout. Excellent quality by them and as happy as I am with the Rock can roll experience I'm possible 1.5 to 2x happier with the Urbanwolfclub boots. Wore them yesterday infact. I will say the rock can roll orange shoes I've worn everyday for about anywhere from 10 minutes to 3-4 hours and they have been wonderful. To tell the difference...well you kinda just have to know materials when you look at them\feel them. Fiberboard is kind of compressed cardboard. Leather, well is leather. Both are fine, thicker leather like Urbanwolfclub uses is the best in my opinion. You'll see in that longer video on them. The owner sent over some vid and pics of production. Super nice.

@@ironman7261 if you contact them they'll work with you. I do suggest sizing up (think like if 12.5 go 13 for example. Otherwise I think they are ee width standard

Well always go big to fit my wide feet have 12 but usually grab 14 or 15 😂

They are apt to work with you...so like I said contact them. Good people. If they can work it out they will. They'll be honest about it. Absolutely worth it, quality boots.

@@Condor1970 not really much to speak of. I mean they do eventually break in and form to your feet some. Like most higher quality heritage boots if you want arch you usually need to swap the insole out(like iron rangers and upwards in quality)

@@nicolascassano-wr8uf I'm not 100% sure. I don't feel a seam on the inside but that could be because of the lining. Highly suggest reaching out to them. If it isn't and you want that I'm pretty sure they could do it.

@@kevin-yq8nn Talked to them the other day. They're having an influx of orders since I posted and I saw a few other people put up videos. You'll get em. Mine took about 3 weeks total. After about 2 I got a Panther power boots shipping notification via email (since they're the 3 different companies as explained in my video about them)...so be aware that may happen. I did mention to them that might confuse some people. So not 100% they have kept it that way.

@@josemanuel2244 in hand they are heavy. But on foot, they're really well balanced. They don't feel like you're wearing bricks around like some boots do. I've worn them for 6 hours (longest) and a few times for about 4.5 and they were fine. I was even running around a park chasing my toddler, and I never had that "oh man can't wait to get these off" feeling.

@@benkirbywright1 no there's other UA-camrs with some videos on them. Hard to describe but it is kind of a lug sole oval smaller in the center surrounded by other material towards the outer edges.

@@Rabnes25 they're great. Comfortable right out of the box but the little break in needed made them that much better. They quickly get to that stage of simply being great and more part of you with age.

Ordered a pair of Winchesters with the axeman last and a soft toe. So far amazing customer service.

@@elitepunch1498 I don't think they do deep lug but I have seen other people with the mini lug so they might have deeper lug as well. Also the roughout.... I don't see why they couldn't do they. They are made to order after all. I'd reach out and ask. Goodluck

@@jorgiemboricua standard they are probably between E and EE. However if you contact them they can make them wide. I will say the instep took a fair amount of breaking in to slide on and off and is still a narrow on. So if you have wider feet that may be an issue. If you reach out to them though they respond overnight (if in US)

@@Gilad-000 I'd say yes as a generic answer. They fit as far as width similar to say Thursday captains wide. She likes a wider fit...while she doesn't need wide.... My wife likes to wear thicker socks though, so she likes the extra room. So I would think they'd be considered wide. I mean on top of that they'll stretch a little being full grain leather. Overall I'd by guess say that they are maybe E...or a little bigger out of box. Being Chelsea I'm sure you'd see the forming to foot happen pretty quickly. The leather is thick but you can tell is supple, so it should take the shape of your foot quickly (vs a stiff leather).

@@jonathanmarquise422 I don't have any iron rangers oddly enough. I'd think going 11 you'd be in good shape. I wouldn't go down. These are better than the rock can roll. They are good, but the iron wolf are a step above. I'm very pleased with them. They are naturally an E probably. So if you're tight with EE you may want to talk to them about possible wide width scenario. I'd say they are probably an E... maybe even somewhere between E and EE. So if you're more shying to the 1-2 E vs 2-3E I'd think you'd be fine. I like a pretty wide Boot and they absolutely fit the bill. Size recommendation I'm probably better with say Thursday or Allen Edmunds as a base to recommend off of. (Having not owned iron rangers). You'll like the iron wolf. Very solid, very comfortable.

@@argosb1543 thanks for the reply. I always enjoy reviews of some of the lesser known brands. I went the pacific northwest route for a while, but I can only afford so many pairs of $700 boots. haha.

@@kristyreiter2389 they'll be nice. They are more rugged than like more fashion forward Grant Stone and Parkhurst. Burgundy matte. Would love if you could take a picture and link it in the comments here. Would love to see them. I have a particular interest in the burgundy while I'm thinking of a combination I was mulling in my head.

I've never had Blkbrd, is there anything notable about them to compare to UWC? Yes he is awesome to talk to and they really are such a great small company who is trying to do right by their workers and their customers locally and now abroad.

@@argosb1543 I haven't had blkbrd in hand yet, but I think the only thing they might do better is have more selection/more lasts. Also the finishing tends to be better, from what I've seen. That being said, my UWC offerings are great, especially for the price. The amount of leather, the cork, the leather options, the customer service, etc is superb. I'm working on a pair now with them, and look forward to it. I have other boots I love from other makers, but when I can get 2-3 boots shipped for the same price, it's the age old diminishing returns. Also thank you for shared the video on the obscene amount of cork they use, and their unique insole/gemming construction. Also that insole is THICK. Probably RW territory or even thicker.

Being a 13.5 on Brannock device and checking Rock Can Rolls size chart for 48 and you being happy with those so probably measuring 30cmand me being 29.5cm and specifically liking more room I have 47 and 48 from Rock Can Roll. (Two most recent being 47). I'd say the 13 measures similarly to the 48 in Rock can Roll (the first pair I have a video on). Maybe a tiny bit shorter. I'd suggest reaching out to Urbanwolfclub and seeing if they can make you a 13.5 or 14 if you like to wear big thick socks like I do. I tend to go large as I live in the northeast US and wear thick wool socks and like toe wiggle room. If you're a regular sock wearer you probably won't need as much room and of course they'll stretch some as leather does too. On the shape I'd suggest their Axeman boots then if you don't like the Almond shape. Having them both in 13 I'll say that I was surprised the toe box on even the Colt 45 is wider than say Thursday. The Axeman has closer to what I'd say is a cross between the Munson last toe and a standard work boot toe. Plenty of wiggle room there though. Really I'd suggest reaching out to them though and seeing if they'd make them 1 size up. I know their size chart says 12 inches for 13 which would be 30.48cm. Id guess (for my experience vs Rock can roll size chart that'd equate more to 30. Which would put you right in the 13 range). This is a very round about way of saying...if you want a size up (say 14) reach out they are great to talk to. They were super nice talking to me and friendly. If you were to just order and don't want to do the size up I'd say 13 in Axeman would probably do well then. Thanks again.

I know plenty of people have brannocks or at least access too but they are becoming more rare and everyone has access to a ruler and sheet of paper for the most part. Honestly I thought of buying one, but decided on measurements to be better as so many differences in companies sizes. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and feedback though.

@@yartp yes I've seen videos of people saying don't use it..... I don't know seems to work fine. As I mentioned it's a lighter base so doesn't leave things oily. If something feels dry I do 2-3 coats (usually letting each soak overnight after applying. The sheen, I don't think I want to fully attribute to lexol. The leather was a bit of a waxy coating kinda when I got it. It absolutely enhanced it though. Different from say pull up style leather that you apply paste wax to though.

@@frankrice1253 That was some of my initial thoughts. So many people say things made in China are garbage then hand over $1000 for an iPhone...made in yep China. Like there's good people all over the world who are going to do honest decent work. Finding them is the hard part. Although my next video (probably this weekend) will be about a company like that but even better.

@@toneohm hi... I don't think I mentioned the price in here. I think I got them for about $160 if I remember correctly. AliExpress is kinda funny how prices fluctuate and you can use coupons etc. then I combined that with a higher Rakuten (cash back site) day for AliExpress This was awhile ago on these. Similar are $145 ish right now (that's with their sole the vibram is extra, however I can say their soles are of good quality. So I wouldn't pay more for vibram (and haven't) with other pairs I got. Leather is supposed to be veg tan in this instance. Full grain. I know I've had chrome tan (I believe) when I got the purple ones for my wife. Fair enough though as that's some custom color they did.

@@jfouellette5174 my pleasure. Yeah I find that people are focussing on the brands they know and that's all. Understandable, but there's lots of great makers out there. Lots of reviewers tend to get in on the Thursday tier and go up from there. Me I'm all about value and letting friends (or others like me) know about great brands that there's very little information on. I have another company coming in a few weeks I'll post about. @@thedogbarber I'm 29.5 cm. Their chart has that as 47. These are 48. I specifically wanted more room as I wear thick wool socks a lot in the winter. I've since orderd 2 more pairs (videos coming on those) that I ordered in 47. They fit true to size. So I'd say measure and use the size chart they give. They are snug putting on (slipping in) in the instep but that's mostly just my foot. Even that wears in with break-in as these aren't anymore. Hope that helps. I'd say they are kind of between a D and E in width.

@ChoiceEnvironments Well I'll tell you this. Hers...they look practically brand new. She's a woman who loves different shoes and while these have been worn a number of times it is so sporadically that any differences probably won't show up on video. I know this because I took a look at hers the other day. I actually changed out my studs in the other ones the other day as I never liked them as "speed studs", they worked fine but lacing them they'd sometimes fall off if being absent minded. Just a small hassle I switched for speed loops as I'd call them. (Like speed hooks but enclosed and laces flow through them). Seems like from pictures they switched to regular speed hooks but I'm sure it is the whim of the maker. On quality... I've worn the other pair a bunch of times. I'm not an everyday wearer at all but a good amount for minimally 5-6 hours per wear. They are absolutely quality. Still continuing to mold to me in a good way. (Most you hit a wall somewhere along the line and I'm sure these will eventually but wow that leather on the midsole takes time. However they are quality enough I ordered a different pair (sort of like redwing blacksmith) from them and should be here soon. So...no regrets. Enjoy. Would love to hear how yours are.

@@argosb1543 Just got them in TODAY and they are sooooo much better than I expected! Sure the leather isn’t scented, but it’s thicker than the redwing leather. These are comfy out of the box so I hope they don’t show too much shoddiness later in the break in. They did use half the nails they should’ve in the heel stack but I can do that job myself, plus it seems they’ll hold up. If worse comes to worse, a cobbler it is. This was a phenomenal purchase. One of my favorite purchases in years. I’m just excited to go to the store in these! Well, well worth it. Thanks for the recommendation!

@@ChoiceEnvironments I was excited to see if you'd write back. The purple pair (L400) or something like that style wise from them was thinner leather but I wasn't unhappy as it was still reasonable and I did order them in a wild color. Glad you like them. I wonder what their aversion to using a few more nails sometimes is. Strange quirk on the heavier ones. My suggestion is get some small nails, drive them in then use something else to punch them in just a little more than just the hammer. Save the trip to the cobbler and the wait. Also if you have the studs and want to change them it isn't hard if you buy a set and it comes with a rod that you do the rivets on a hard surface with. (Fun skills I learned repairing some other stuff of my wife's). Very cool. Glad you like them. I wish RoseAnvil would do a vid on them. The quality to price is unbeatable. Enjoy.

I'd say the overall shape of the upper is quite similar. Quality is way better though. The midsole and outsole are far better quality. I'd say higher quality than Thursday boots. This particular pair has leather that's a bit thicker than doc martins would use but not as thick as the other pair I have in a video from the same maker. Being able to resole them with a cobbler and the stitching being stronger than any offering from doc martins I'd say they're much better value too. More of a workboot than the doc's....so you won't get that squish of the gel outsole on docs. You can easily toss some insoles (I recommend super feet green as I've loved those for boots and working on concrete)....but anything would add squish. I'm actually wearing the other pair right now (these purple are my wife's) They still have held up great. Can't recommend them enough.

Thanks, I kept telling people about them, and wanted something to be able to point to about a nice product. I'm trying to grow my skills, and have taken steps back and hopefully forward, in reviewing things, and putting up some tips for people. I appriciate the kind words. They are great sandals.

We use them daily, and they really add something to a comforting night at home after sunset, particularly on those cold winter snowy days in our area.
