2017 Dodge Charger 5.7L with Stainless Works long tube headers, mid muffler delete, high flow cats, and HP custom engine/transmission tune now with Resonator delete. Taking off the resonator made the car sound even better. Definitely recommend

How much hp you gained after long tube headers and tune
I’m not sure exactly. I didn’t put it on a dyno before and after but if I had to guess 30hp. Feels like a lot more the way the throttle response is now and the throwing you back in the seat

No sorry. I discussed getting the Stainless Works with my guy at the shop and he ordered them for me through a magazine
I have muffler delete and resonator delete would long tube headers make car more loud? Or just make it performance better? I want car louder with no check light
It’ll do both because you have more air. You’ll get more horsepower and it’ll be louder (not crazy loud) biggest thing you’ll notice is the throttle response. When you get on the petal it’s instant and it throws you back in your seat. I think it’s like 20-30 HP but it feels like more. As for the check engine light you have to unlock the ECU in the car and get it tuned. With the right tune your engine will be perfect and have no codes thrown. I went to a shop to get it done professional and they unlocked and did a HP Custom tune for me at the same place. I had to go back a few times to get the O2 sensor from flagging. After that car is perfect; haven’t had a check engine light in a year

@ delete mds is a must idc what mods your adding this is the reason why our cars have that lag also oil starvation now if you want to get rid of it completely with a big gain of power you need non MDS lifters/cam and the MDS delete plugs I swear fam it will change that car I’m in my third charger build and that’s the start

I live in in LA and they’re not too strick on emissions here. I deleted the resonators but switched the stock catalytic converters to high flow cats. Some people delete the cats to go full straight pipe but you’ll probably fail emissions. With the high flow cats you should be ok to pass with better sound and performance

@@issiahwalker5178 Yeah I have a HP Custum Tune. After changing the headers the air fuel ratio changes so it’s best to get a tune to keep your engine in top shape

Yeah. I kept it simple. I removed the muffler and resonator and straight piped it. Then I got Stainless Works long tube headers (1 7/8in) with high flow catalytic converters. Last step was to tune it since the headers change the air ratio. There’s a lot of other things you can do like getting a flow master muffler instead of straight piping and that’ll change the sound. I love the growl from the Hemi V8 so didn’t go that route

What’s up! I’m not sure if you do just the headers if it’ll void the warranty but definitely after you tune it will. I had the extended warranty which is voided now but the car runs so well after the tune I don’t need it

I already have a mid muffler delete and resonator delete. How much did the installation and tune cost?
The headers were around $2000 with the ceramic coating. Installation was about $1000. The tune was $500. About $3500 total. For the driving experience you get after doing that definitely screw the warranty. If you have more $$ throw another cam in it with the header install and you’ll have a 392

The only thing you missing is the 2023 rims the ones you got on is the same rims I have 2017 but it’s looking nice
Yeah the 2023s do look good. I thought about changing the rims but I looked again and stock wasn't too bad

Wish my wife was a speed demon but she has a mommy van. The headers were the most expensive at close to $3000 after taxes. The install was about $600 since it took a couple days. The HP tune was $500. The mid muffler delete was the cheapest at $100. I went back and took the resonators off for $120. Total was about $4320. I would recommend getting it cammed along with the header install and tuning all together. I didn't cam this car but i did on my other one and it nuts. I didn't want to invest another $2000 to get it done but well worth it. At a minimum definitely take off her mid mufflers and she'll start feeling more response. The headers really takes it up a notch
Dope I have the same car and color luckily my 5.7 came with brembos too a mod I highly reccomend for the 5.7 would be a 3.09 differential it’s the same one the scat has changes the drive style and no more peg leg you’ll leave pefect 11’s down the whole street but it’s expensive

@@RT_Manta any dodge charger/challenger RT 5.7 comes factory with a open differential the ratio is 2.62 I think which means one wheel (usually driver side) will lock up as soon as the car breaks traction even if you turn all TC off. Scat packs 6.4 come with a Limited slip differential 3.09 gear ration which means both wheels spin at the same time which means no wheel locking up mid launch/drift which equals awesome donuts and better launches🤜🏽🤛🏽
@@RT_Manta The upgrade cost me $1300 for a brand new diff with 3.09 gears and spent another $150 on 3 quarts of mopar LSD fluid for the diff. You need nothing else to swap the diff same it’s literally bolt on and your ready to go. Expensive but soooo worth it if you have an RT!

The headers and install cost $1700 and to unlock the car to do the hp tune cost $500. $2200 total

Congratulations on the new ride and thanks for the compliment. I wish I knew the exact numbers but I never put it on a dyno. Guessing I think the headers and tune added 20-30 HP. If you looking to keep up with the 6.2s definitely get another cam with it. If you looking just to unleash the 5.7 without worrying about race no need for the cam. My car definitely isn’t the fastest but it’s so much better to drive now compared to stock
did the exhaust and tune add any HP?
Taking off the resonators and mufflers didn’t add any HP, just changed the tone and volume. The headers combined with the tune added about 20-30. Feels like a lot more cause after the headers you’ll feel it push you in your seat. Adding a cam with headers is even better but I didn’t take that route with this car

@@bashns7743 Maybe like 10-20 hp. It’s some but not too noticeable. Once you start tuning or do headers and cam then you’ll really notice

I have a setup similar to yours but I wanted to make it look more aggressive so I lowered it and now I can’t go anywhere 🤣 this thing is so low you gotta go slow over everything so you don’t scrape them headers they hang like some 🥜 🤣 but the sound and look and ride quality on a good road ….. unmatched ‼️
I used to have a 2006 Pontiac GTO I modified and I had the same struggle 😂. I seen a few videos of your charger and it looks and sounds great. Just the simple white inserts in the grill bring out the car a lot. Good choice!!!

It’s a HP custom tune. It comes from www.hptuners.com I didn’t order it or do the tune myself. Just paid the shop $500 to get everything done. I had to go back a few times to get the numbers right cause my O2 sensors kept going off. The car was running too lean. Now it’s a beast with no issues

Put it on a Dyno now , need that tube so you won’t run so lean
That’s where the HP custom tune came in. I had to go to the shop a few times to adjust the numbers because I had a lot of O2 sensor errors going off. My guy finally got the right adjustments made and had to get different O2 sensors/wires installed. She runs great after all that

What rear defuser did you get? Part number, name, site?
I got it from Amazon but the one I bought isn’t listed anymore. There’s plenty other listing of the same diffuser but just make sure it’ll fit the year and model of your Charger. Plenty of colors as well but I went with matte black.
Honestly they’re all the same with every trim only difference is the engine size, you already got the long tube headers, just do a cold air intake, cam, better fuel injectors, and a ported intake and throttle body, also don’t forget a 3.09 differential and you’ll be making just As much as a Scatpack then boost it and so much more
Sounds good. I’ve only did 3 things to it performance wise and it’s a huge difference. I could imagine if I added these what it would be like. Thanks for the advice
@@joshuadavis9322 then if you wanted more you could get a hellcat supercharger and the hellcat supercharger adapter with hellcat fuel injectors and make around 600 if not more horsepower. I got a 2015 rt i have long tube headers but I’ve yet to do anything to the car i was going to get a catback exhaust from corner stone performance
