I have attended many Remembrance Day ceremonies at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and John has sung "Danny Boy" for the veterans there during the ceremony. The ceremony alone is a sombre one in which the hospital acknowledges the sacrifice of our veterans of war but when John sings Danny Boy, I am left sobbing every time. John has such passion for wanting to help our veterans and he has done so much for Sunnybrook Hospital and the veterans who live there. He is a saint of a man. God Bless you, Mr. McDermott

Nice rendition, but just to be clear, the music was written by Leonard Bernstein with lyrics from Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Maybe the arrangement is by Bennett and Evans?

Grand voice, and he knows how to tell the story within the song. In the "trade" they would say he knows how to sell the tune. Slainte !
