Do you remember the bulb sizes? there seems to be different size bulbs, where some are smaller than others. I have a disco 2 and the kit i bought only had the 3 main led bulbs to the top half of the cluster is very dim.
What if I told you... I broke one of the clips? Where can you buy new ones?
This is a great example of not believing everything you see on UA-cam. I spent ages messing about trying to screw back the black ring using this bloke's method. Then I looked elsewhere and 1 video and 1 site suggested the ring must go into the tank first. Once I did this it slipped in really easily and I did it up first time. So poor information mate. You need to take this video down as it is wrong.
James Giddings , it actually says that the rubber fits around the lip on the tank if you watch back, ive probably fitted more than a hundred pumps this way pal and im guessing this is your first 👍, sorry this didnt help you
danny latham it doesn't sit on the lip though, it needs to be maneuvered in. Anyway, anyone doing this for the first time will benefit from the video link below... daft metal ring won’t stay screwed down any suggestions thanks
you don't need to cut the carpet just pull it out from the trim and fold it back to reveal the pump cover. the hardest part is getting the seal in position. you cant tell if you got it right till you brim the tank then it;s diesel all over the forecourt. I had to do it again and stuck the seal in position with silastic then eased the pump all the way in, worked fine.
Hi Iv just bought my disco 2. And I have to say I love it I have noticed my odometer light and my heater unit lights are not working how easy are they to change and where do I order the bulbs from

Hello Danny. I fitted white led bulbs and the nimbers on the dash still appear very green, but the needles are white?? Does the cluster have green backing on mine or something? Quite disappointed with it!
Tom Stevens Hi mate, yeah as oe bulbs are pretty much a white colour anyway being halogen, the backing of the dials are green so adding a whiter light would only dampen the green im assuming, i used a different colour and a high powered colour pretty much over ruled the green.

I added blue T5 LEDs in my climate control, clock and door unlock switch.. I'm going to do the speedo gages next.

Hi, I just used 501 led bulbs but I upgraded to SMD they give out a brighter even light, they can be sourced from eBay for cheap
+danny latham do the 501s replace the factory bulbs directly? How many do I need to buy?
Yeah the 501's are a direct replacement, just plug and play, there are 3 bulb holders at the back of your instrument cluster, just a quarter turn and there out. fit your bulbs and enjoy, I bought Blue SMD 501's of eBay there's many sellers and to many colours to choose from.
We're they smd501 6's or 10's mate?
What is the desire psi on the fuel pump?
Hi, good question, if I remember rite the fuel fed to the fuel pressure reg should be about 4 bar
I haven't checked the pressure regulator, what i did do was check the psi in the front valve and its giving me a little over 50 psi. Is that good enough?
There's 3 for the screen and 1 either side for the up and down heater controls and 1 for the controls at the bottom I used t9 neo wedge led's, took a lot of searching on the Internet but you'll find them, or if you want to direct solder led's onto the printed circuit board, just have a play around with it :) cheers.
T9 or t5 that you mentioned originally?
For the heater controls and for the bottom control are T4.7 i tried to put T4.2 but they are so small that they barely stick to the surface.

Hey there, what size bulbs did you use in your instrument cluster and how many were there?
i cant stress enough to make sure you fit the rubber ring seal first into the tank mouth so the soft thin lip is below the tank rubber ring, then slide the pump down into place. i spent about an hour trying to fit the metal ring with no luck till watching the last bit of the video and figuring this out.

Is it same for the petrol version on V8 2001 model? Is there any such in detailed video link available? I smell fuel when I fill the tank but on half tank don't get the fuel smell during driving.

Hi, the blue bulbs I got where T5 286 blue led bulb but I suppose you could put any colour you like in them, I got mine from eBay for a couple of quid, there are 3 bulbs for the actual display, 1 for the buttons underNeath and 1 on each side for the heater control (hotter and colder) the ones for the buttons are called neo wedge bulbs and I think they where t4 or t5. If you want any advice on taking your unit out or changing the actual bulbs let me know, Cheers dan
