Still looking for one in AR... 5k seems to be the nationwide price in 2024 for this bike... wirh VERY few available. Sure wish I'd bought one back then as a 2nd bike... the price I 'thought' was too high at 6k has proved to be a great investment.... besides all the fun I've missed in 10 years! Ame close to buying a Triumph t-100 for 4k recently.. but I wasn't close and it sold... but I'd really like to have the kick start and Yamaha dependability.

I swapped them out with the Hitchcocks upgrade and they still are giving me a problem..... sometimes it primes sometimes it doesn't.... 2022 model and with all the issues this is my last Royal Enfield and I like the bike but I am constantly working or replacing factory parts... terrible quality control from a company that has been around in India for so long... you pay for what you get.

Cool. I’m curious about speed on highway. I have a Ninja 400 which easily rides at 75 or 80mph on highway without a problem. Will this 400 do the same? I’m looking to get away from the sport bike riding position and move to a standard riding position. Thanks.

there is some kind of magic behind that oldschool technology ;) someone can efford a new Tesla etc. but it won't have a soul this bike has. It is not only motorbikes but old radios etc. This is why people renovate them very often. The built quality also. I think we got lost a little bit with the technology (which I use all the time at work for example) but this bike is a symbol of what's really important in life :)

That’s the 2015 anniversary edition. With that aftermarket exhaust, you’ll get less decel popping if you remove the air injection system (and block off the resulting exhaust port hole). I speak from sea-level experience, so your altitude might have an effect on that.

I have one from a different manufacturer that's virtually identical in most ways except the one I have has quick release levers instead of twisty knobs to lock things in place. Another difference is mine came with a wheel truing attachment that mounted on the top. The manufacturer that made mine no longer makes it. I found that out when I tried looking it up to find a small replacement part years later. I'm guessing they sold the patent or the rights or whatever to this company since they're so similar. Anyway, I've been pretty happy with mine. The only real downside is it can be a bit wobbly with a heavy bike mounted on it but I find that an acceptable trade off if you need the portability just to be able to stow it away in a closet if you don't have a whole room to dedicate to bike maintenance.

I choose the XT250 for two reasions. One much better off road, So much more dependible, And Three still made in Japan, Quality machine. Himalayan suffer production issues. The quality of parts was not up to the mark and in 2017 some users filed lawsuits to either demand compensation or return the bike for refund. You can not expect quality from a country that still does not know what a work bench is. Made in India, ya that speeks volumes. ua-cam.com/video/La_uOEcN2Fw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/LpxVRyBCvmU/v-deo.html Japan ua-cam.com/video/n-qxKsKmwS8/v-deo.html

This is exactly what happened to me. This swap out is the perfect, easiest diagnosis! Living in the US, I replaced both relays with Duralast relay model 20129 I picked up at my local AutoZone -- the electrical diagram on the Duralast is exactly identical to that on the original and to the one found on Hitchcock's website, so it was a perfect match. All works great! (I will of course carry an extra or two with me in the future.) Thank you!

I actually do! Find a Yamaha VStar 250 twin. It’s as docile as a Schwinn stingray and an absolute blast to ride and when you’re done, you can sell it for the two grand you bought it off craigslist, for I would probably still own mine except I didn’t like the clutch; it has no friction zone. Great video but a note about the fill level - per my manual (found online - hopefully applicable to my bike but seems to be generic to all savages/boulevard s40s), the procedure to check oil level is to start the bike from cold and let is run for "a few minutes". Then turn the engine off and wait 3 minutes and check the level to make sure it's within the marks on the sight glass. I followed this procedure after my oil change and used a little less than 2 quarts with changing the filter as well. When the bike is sitting cold, the level is above the top of the sight glass. It only falls within the marks after doing to procedure in the manual. I read on the forums that this is a common confusion. I'm not exactly sure what the right thing to do is, but the owners manual seems to be pretty specific about checking the oil level. Whoever did maintenance on my bike last removed/lost the inner small O-ring so luckily I had purchased another one and installed. Your video was great to help me locate the drain plug and familiarize myself with the procedure.
