The first time I went, I was there at my appointed time and it took me 5 hours. The last time I went, I went very early and it took me 15 minutes. They do things on a first come first served basis. So if you’re early, you’ll leave early.

No I didn’t need my birth certificate. They were particular about the first, middle and last name being the same

Quick one do I stiil need to fly out through the original schengen country that issued me the visa ? let me say I applied to visit France and I spent 2 days there and flew to Germany to visit family, is it mandatory I return back to France to leave back to the Uk, will it be an issue returning back to the Uk from Germany ?
No it’s not an issue, you can leave from Germany. They typically don’t ask or care. All I’ll advise is you plan your trip in such a way that the country you applied to will be your first or last destination just so they can stamp your passport. Other than that, it really doesn’t matter the pattern of your journey. As long as there’s proof you were in the country you applied to (and this is only important incase you want to apply again). You were given a visa for the entire zone so you can enter or leave from any country in the zone.
My old passport is faraway from me now but i have its photocopy. Will they allow me in ?

It takes 10-15 business days. It took 10 days the first time and 9 the second time

When applying for the new passport (change of name ), do you use the new surname that appears on the NIN you got to make your application on the Nigerian immigration website?
I’m not sure what your situation is. But whatever is on the application is the name they think you want on the passport and it must tally with other documents. I believe if your name has changed, you’ll provide supporting documents (not sure). But if it’s the same as what’s on your NIN, you shouldn’t have a problem.

I do have a question…What if there are crucial mistakes from your first application and you’ve submitted and payments has also been made, could you still make another and then cancel the last application?
I’ve never had to deal with a situation like this but I know you don’t get a full refund when you cancel. If there are mistakes I’ll suggest restarting or reaching out to them

It’s Year - Month - Date on mine
Hi, Could you please tell me if we have to take certified copies(true copies) when we take copies of documents such as Resident Permits, Travel insurance, and pages of the passport?
Yes you have to. They will take a look at your residence permit and hand it over back to you. They will also take your passport as well as other copies you made that are relevant to your application. So you have to take copies and original with you.

I can’t say. Your application just needs to make sense. Accomodation + flight tickets + extra money for the duration of your stay. Enough money to look like it can cover all your expenses

Hi, do I have to go to the High Commission to collect the passport or it will be sent to me? My collection date was October 2023 and I’m yet to receive it.
It’s supposed to be sent to you. I did mine in September and I received it about a month ago. Please reach out to them. You might have to go there

How long did it take you to get appointment date?
I got a date for the next week. It depends on the country. With some, there might be no date and you’ll randomly refresh a couple hours after and an appointment slot will open up.

Thank you for sharing this video. I used the links you provided below the video to apply for my passport just now. My appointment is scheduled for March 5th next year. The website was a bit challenging to navigate, but I managed to do it. I learned that if you select the 64-page option, you can obtain a 10-year passport. Otherwise, anything below 64 pages would only provide you with a 5-year passport option. Let me kuku get mentally and physically ready for that day so I will stand, sit and wait very well. Hello please I need your advice; I made some errors during application, how do I edit them has I can't even find my application form after entering the ID and REF NO. Secondly I was unable to download the application form and acknowledgment form. The only thing I got was the email receipt and the appointment slip even with errors on my name. Please what do I do ?
As for changing errors, I’m sorry, I’m not sure what to do. I don’t know anyone that has had a similar problem as well. Did you follow the link in the description to download the application form?

I have an application number and a reference number which I can use to track it, in fact I just checked it now, its on the received stage.
You can use those details to download the form via this link: portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/checkPassportStatus But I don’t know much about changing details on the form.
