Are you guys removing all the insulation on the ceiling? What type of mold is that?

What’s the point of using a HEPA filter if you’re going to blow it outside? Why wouldn’t a regular fan work? Is not the outside environment full of mold.

To be fair mold remediation companies hype up the dangers of mold. If you ridicule Killz please be fair and let people know for the price you charge people could buy an Air Scrubber, brushes, a Hepa vacuum, RMR and do this themselves a few times over. Mold is not near as dangerous as mold remediation companies want you to believe. They play on your fears.

Hi, can you please explain to me when a duct is not necessary? I realize what you said in the video, but I've seen other videos that do not use ducting. What if I seal off a room completely and open a window? Or should I even open the window? I'm genuinely confused right now, as I have done the remediation already. Also, why is it that you are running the scrubber before even completing the remediation (i.e. not wiping down the fridge, etc)? Thanks.

This guy just referred to efflorescence as a white mold. This nonsense is why I get 2-3 ridiculous calls a week. Do some homework.

I'd like to set up negative air pressure in the attic while I remediate some mold. I also have vermiculite in the attic. Is it possible for the negative pressure to pull asbestos contaminated air from the attic into the home or crawlspace?

Maybe they meant Zinsser brand instead of Kilz. Zinsser has a primer that says in huge letters MOLD KILLING primer on the label. Says to apply directly over mold and mildew surfaces. Get it at Lowes or most paint stores.

mold has been on the earth since day 1...and can never be eliminated from the air we breathe...so right after remediation and as soon as the window is opened...mold is reintroduced...mold will grow anywhere and on anything if the right conditions exist...the goal is to remove the conditions for mold to grow...mold loves water, moisture, dampness, etc..and hates heat, sunlight, sodium hypochlorite, etc...if there is an ongoing moisture problem in the house then the 1st step is eliminate the moisture..(dehumidification) .Kilz applied will contain the existing mold spores but agreed will not prevent new mold spores from coming back
