hello people
Fix-It Felix Classic - all sounds oscilloscope view (2 x AY-3-8910 + 4-bit Generic PCM DAC)
sorry about the weird clicks/pops, openshot was being weird, also taking this opportunity as a reminder that i recently uploaded the final gameplay update, hopefully at least
note: in the game itself i applied a slight lowpass and bass boost to all the audio, this is not present here as the audio used here is exported directly from Furnace for the most part

i'm aware this still isnt entirely accurate to original hardware but the original sound hardware isnt supported by Furnace and its handled by its own separate CPU that outputs some complicated instructions to a DAC so this is the best i could do lol

there were a few stupid deaths and i have done better than this even with the new jump but it still wasnt a bad run i think
new feature

yes this means i added an extra button (jump) for this, but it is to be used sparingly, only when necessary

yeah the dk arcade sound hardware can only have one volume level for its two triangle wave channels, probably because it only uses one DAC and it's software mixed, so when a new note starts it cuts off the other one if there's one playing unless they play at the same time
new DK samples

autism: the game
this was my fault lol

Can you put it on cell phone?
no, not yet at least
The film wasn't bad at all despite the fact that Luigi didn't get to make a cameo appearance.
it is Donkey Kong Clones!
extremely good job!
I still had an iPad version of that game
I have this version on my home arcade machine and I want to say this version surpasses the official version used in the arcade machines Disney made. It's a lot of fun too.
thanks so much, glad you like it
Please Tell me there is a midi file for these!!!!
nope but there are .fur files
@@125scratch2Can you convert them to midi files?
@@JackTheGamer3 not unless i transcribe them as midis myself
@@125scratch2If you could do that it would be much appreciated!!!! I wanna make an Atari styled soundtrack for this game using emulating the YM2151 + OKIM2695
@@JackTheGamer3 perhaps i will work on it

Like
why do you name it classic if its a remake
cuz its supposed to be more authentic to classic arcade hardware and what the game wouldve been like if it was a real "classic arcade game"
I have a idea for the big hole back of Ralph takes you more time to repair but gives you more points, like a bonus
not adding that, sorry
Ok I understand, it is difficult to program
@@DaniLandStudio no i just dont think itd work well with the gameplay
and i kind of think its ok to make some things not make complete sense in the name of gameplay for a game like this
Ok
¿in which can I run it? ¿En que lo puedo correr?
I've tested it on Windows 8 and 10, and the XP version has been tested on Windows XP, the main version should also work on windows 7 and 11
So so thanks
Google says me "can contain virus"¿Contain virus? Google me dice "puede contener virus" ¿Contiene virus?
It's a false positive
Ok i download now
@@DaniLandStudio thank you!
Tengo una idea para el gran agujero de atras de Ralph que te tome mas en repararlo pero que al final te de mas puntos ,como un bonus I have an idea for the big hole in Ralph's back that will take longer to repair but will give you more points in the end, like a bonus
Es como esa escena donde Ralph no está
is very cool
thank you DevDigitalYT it is an honore
my favorite arcade game of all time i have it in my ms pac man plug n play from 2005
bro you have no idea your version got me addicted more than the movie version it actually feels like an arcade
just as planned :)
NOW THIS IS AN ARCADE GAME GAMERS
i may be able to get the game running in better quality on a crt due to some odd choices i'm making
Why Porque
@@DaniLandStudio mistercast
A bonus stage?
nope sorry, wasnt part of the "original" game anyway
Just checked out this hack and wanted to commend you on your awesome work! Love that it has custom music and boss sprites and everything. Also love that Piyoko's got the kuchi kara bazooka. Great stuff!
new subscriber 😎🤞🏽
ok
With what programming language did u make the game? and can you give me a link for game assets please ?
Game Maker 8.2, and do you want the sprites/tiles?
Yes please
@@user-of4rl8qi9gdrive.google.com/file/d/1YRRx2EPHA7i6PO4Fk_liWA91_52DSuto/view?usp=sharing
Why the sprites are devided into small parts ?
@@user-of4rl8qi9g That's how they are in the game itself, because that's how they would have been stored in the graphics roms in an actual arcade game, and I thought it would be fun to try to assemble them with code
I added a version that should work on Windows XP machines
I added a version that should work on Windows XP machines
I added a version that should work on Windows XP machines
nice, you finished your game
Nice detail that you made everything in b flat
felt like the key change made sense since the NES version used different keys for the music
can I get this for Mac because that’s all I have
maybe if you use something like a virtual machine or Parallels, but this version of Game Maker is only able to compile a Windows executable
Why are the sounds in the promotional arcade version so compressed lol
i think its because they didnt really know anything about how old sound hardware worked but they wanted to make it sound more "retro" or something
@@125scratch2 but it sounded a lot better in the movie
@@Etech_Shorts yeah idk it was code mystics being weird i guess
I got this on my computer and I like it much better than the official arcade version!!! I was so impressed by how challenging the gameplay is, the accurate replication of the AY-3-8910 soundfont, the purposefully glitchy vertical scrolling that shows the tiles being loaded in at the top, and I especially love the Dig-Dug style "GO FOR THE WORLD RECORD NOW!!" message with the big blocky numbers when you get the highest score. Speaking of, are the scores and high score message able to display 6 figures or do they just roll over?
The score displays 7 digits, and rolls over at 10000000
Also, yesterday I finished making some tweaks to the gameplay and difficulty, mostly related to Ralph's targeting, so check that out if you downloaded it before then
@@125scratch2so does the decorative blue and yellow box around the digits on the "go for the world record now" screen (the big numbers made of brick) just get wider to make room for the extra digits? I noticed the width of the box only has enough room to fit a 5 figure number.....
@@leroyvisiongames2294 It gets wider
Imagine if there was a fix it Felix maker Probably not
sounds more like an actual arcade game like this
as opposed to when it uses emulated recordings of hardware that was actually used in arcade machines at the time?
@@125scratch2 I'm talking about how it has the same... audio distortion? Static? Some sort of sound thing like in Donkey Kong and Mario Bros and things like that
@@goyangi4143 true but those are only a few games, and this version doesnt use authentic hardware, there were many games that used AY-3-8910 chips
I immediately recognized the AY-3-8910 soundfont the moment I booted up your version of the game. That "crunchy" sound on the white noise channel was a dead giveaway; I've noticed the white noise sounds less smooth in older arcade games with 8910s
@@leroyvisiongames2294 yep all the sound is done in Furnace with AY-3-8910 (two of them) and a 4-bit Generic PCM DAC
i have since scored 75610 somehow
NES
NO NO NO NO NO
Update idea: you should use the Mappy credit sound because if you listen closely in the movie you can hear that fix it felix’s credit sound is the one from Mappy
They were originally using the Mappy sound but they later changed it to be more original I think, and mine is based on the one they changed it to
Well not in this video, in this one I just replaced all the sounds with ones from the promotional arcade version lol
Actually no, the Mappy credit sound is used at the beginning of the credits, right before the flashing "PRESS START" text appears
@@leroyvisiongames2294yes but not in the movie itself, the movie itself uses a different sound
but it's not the one in this video because this video is just me replacing all the sounds with ones from the promotional arcade version for fun, except ones that dont have a direct equivalent
Hey es mi nombre😡
