Honda gx35 loss of power fix

Finally found the problem that I had with my Honda gx35 brush cutter when I would use it it would bog down and couldn't get it to rev out but it finally got that bad I couldn't even hold full throttle without it dying completely it was a kinked fuel hose now it runs like new. Maybe when I get a new fuel filter it will run even better.
Honda to the DEI hire engineer: “You design the fuel hose. …You can’t screw that up!”
Are you the bloke that sings for Cold Play and was married to Gwyneth Paltrow? If so, will you send me your signature as I might be able to make some money from it...
i found rippin the guard off stops her bogging down
I have the same motor but it is in a star picket driver, have the same problems as mentioned, I’ve been told if you leave fuel in it for prolonged periods it will clog up the carby, I went a bought a new carby form Honda shop very expensive could of go a cheaper one online am fitting it up tomorrow il re-comment on its outcome, plus I bought a new spark plug so il try that first 🇦🇺🤙
Hello my friend, I have a problem with my Honda GX 35 weed eater. It starts fine and idles ok, but, when I increase acceleration, it bogs down and eventually dies. I have replaced the fuel lines that go into the gas tank, cleaned the air filter, and changed the gas filter inside the gas tank...The problem still exist. There was a recent oil change as well. I in live the Philippines where corruption is out of control and there is a possibility of watered down gas. Do you have any other suggestions that I might apply to remedy the situation? Thanks, Santy
The carburettor may need a clean - Failing that you may want to check spark plug and ignition coil
I tried this and now it's worse. Hmmm..
My gx35 burns oil ,, had to refill every time after 1 hr.. blue smoke, how can I fix it?
You are my hero. Fixed.
My issue was a plugged vacuum hose that went from the air filter box to the valve cover. also - it was the same engine... a HONDA GX25, but it was on a garden tiller, instead of a string trimmer.
Hi handsome. What do you drink during your job? Or videos?
HALLO HONDA FIX THET SHIT!!!!!! CHRIS THANK 😊 🙏 YOU YOU ARE GINIUS SAME PROBLEM ME HAVE WORK 💯% GOD BLES 🙌
going to check my gx50 for this issue.
THANK YOU…THANK YOU for posting this. I had this problem and my Honda trimmer was only 2 years old and I treat it like a baby. Got rid of (the Kink) and I’m back in business. Many THANKS.
Ozzy ozzy ozzy ...
Champ! Same problem.
fixed "for now". I have a gx35 and a couple of gx25's and they all suffer. I have cleaned carbs and fitted car kits, new hoses, filters. All which got the engines running perfect again. But they dont last long. Either sitting for some time you come back and they bog down. Or with consistent use they eventually start to give problems again. I love honda gear but not these small honda engines.
Empty fuel between uses. These carby's use rubberized parts and fuel kills them. ALSO DO NOT USE ETHANOL which creates worse issues!
Have had mine for 10 years.
hey mate cheers for the vid. same problem, thanks for the solution :)
You’re a bloody legend mate I was about to take Mine to the mower doctor as I’ve done the air cleaner spark plug etc I’ll give it a go now and see how it works Thanks heaps
Honda is good, don't let them sit for long periods of time. Tried this fix mate and it got back up and running like new again. Thanks
Nice one mate ,good find , Quality Share 👍 under fukin standable
Looks like you fixed my issue will confirm tomorrow but was kinked
Having the same problem with my gx35….. really hoping it’s the very same problem.
Glad somebody figured this out. Bought my trimmer in 2013, ran fine for a bit then started to bog down at full throttle. I've neglected to drain gas during winter storage, so I figured the carb was gummed up. Ran fuel cleaner, changed fuel filter and plug, but still didn't fix it, so I have lived with it for years. Just walked outside to look, and the small black hose is terribly kinked. I will get that fixed and expect it to run great.
Thank you!!!!!!
Thanks got mine right in front of me now and yes it has a kink. Hope it works
Just jumping on to show some love!! Thanks bro, saved me some dollars, worked great after your advice!!
Can't miss an Aussie that's for sure. Good job!! She ain't farqued yet.
when will you release a new album
Probably when you stop asking.
Hi..do u keep the choke open or close for operation.? Mine shuts down if i close the choke.
Choke is only to start the motor. You shouldn't be running it while the choke is on. Once the engine is warm, choke isn't often needed to start.
Thank you. My GX25 powered trimmer ran well but died at full throttle. I noticed the hose looked a bit kinked but I thought maybe the diaphragm wasn't keeping up and I put a new one in. Didn't work. Then I saw your video and took another look at the hose. Put a new hose on and all is good now!
I have a brand new 25 cc trimmer one day old dies at full throttle
Awesome just fixed both my whipersnippers, thanks!
The smaller best ever 4 stroke engine of Honda.Great engine for projects.
Worked for me too, full power again after almost giving up. What a terrible design by Honda. Thanks for your help
legend
Thanks mate. Same issue.
Cheers Chris, you are a champion! Fixed my GX25!
Big thanks, couldn't figure it out in 2 years until now. who woulda thunk honda would kink the fuel line at the factory.
I'm having a similar problem with my BRAND NEW trimmer engine.... Is it really kinked from the factory???
Thanks for the vid. Replaced fuel filter and straightened the black fuel line in my GX25 and it doesn’t choke at full throttle any more! Sweet. Repair shop was talking about carby seals all gone and it sounded like $$$$ to me.
Mahalo to Cris for this video, as filter replacement didn't help.
Thanks alot. Same Problem with mine Umk 435Ue. I have lsot quite a bit of time, with cleaning the carburatur and checking everything, but it was only a bad fuelfilter...;-) You really helped me.
cottoned me onto removing my fuel filter... and wadda ya know back to normal... so a related problem
Same exact problem for me. Fixed in 5 minutes. Thanks!!
This motor sucks ! broke after 3 months of use and Honda refuses to fix it or replace it. Honda offers terrible support. Stay away from those motors and Honda
That's a bummer. Mine lasted over 5 years before it gave me any problems, and I ran it hard cutting brush 4-5 fit tall. It was on a Husqvarna 224L. Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
Don't replace it with a new Stihl!
If you think this motor sucks, then you just suck at maintenance and reading an owner's manual.
Got one of these at work, will run and idle but give it full throttle and it's like it's starved of fuel, have to give this a go I think.
Had the same problem with mine. It was the vent in the fuelcap. Every time i had the fuelcap of, it would run fine a couple of minutes after. I pulled the fuelcap apart and got it to work again. Runs perfect now.
OMG!!! My gx25 has been annoying the hell out of me for the past 3 years and it all came down to a little black hose!!!! THANK YOU so much for this vid - i would have never thought of that cheers
Thanks to your video I find out Ihad the same problem . Additionally I replaced the gasfilter in the tank and now it is functining full throttle perfectly /
Thanks Chris Same problem and yes it fixed it Cheers
Honda ? are you kidding me ? never again. Purchased GX-35. Never deal with Hopnda again. Worst support, worst customer service and repairs for standalone motor does not exist..
