@@TheTenFold_YT There's nothing to look into, it's a gimmick specific to this map and this map alone. There are several "fake" bfgs that behave like shotguns. The real one is along a wall to the west, IIRC.

I don't know. Almost certainly not on console, but on Steam it might be possible to disable it by looking around in game files and/or disabling the steam cloud. Not entirely sure, though.

I like how they have zero hesitation when they do it, too. As soon as the pain frame finishes, they're instantly looking for the dude who hit them in the ass. It's almost like the demons aren't really that committed to killing Doomguy at all because they're so sick and tired of each other that they'll take any excuse to punch on. "That asshole Bob the Revenant has been pissing me off for at least 300 years now and I swear to Satan, if he looks at me one more time with those silly looking empty sockets of his, I'm going to shoot him right where his dick used to be."

@@doomstuff1 Yeah it's not widely known. That hidden space isn't flagged as Secret, so players who miss it could still get a 100% Secrets score, and thus wouldn't search for it in subsequent playthroughs.

Lol, pretty sure he's done with the Nuts trilogy after his TAS max of the first one where he played at like 1 frame every 4 seconds during the last part and spent 23 days running the script to gather all the rev missiles. That said, if he were so inclined, I'm sure he could cut this time in half pretty easily.

Yeah, lol. As bad as that rocket looked, though, it probably saved the run, as I was actually a few seconds away from resetting, under the assumption I'd missed a kill. Of course, it had just as good a chance of pushing me over the line to close off the second arena and softlocking my game, so there's that.

I think this is probably the trolliest level in the game for that reason. Also, the smoke detector has been fixed, this just happened to be recorded on the same day as the first one. This should be the last time you hear that accursed thing (this or MAP02). Thanks for watching!

It's worth mentioning this was after a few practice runs, this was just the first recorded try. I've already recorded the next couple of maps, I'm just holding on to them so I can start a somewhat regular upload schedule. Stay tuned for some outtakes!

No, all that matters is that all barrels are blown up. Just make sure you leave one barrel near the start to shoot last, as you only have a few seconds before the teleporter closes again once the last barrel explodes.

Thank you! Good luck with tom19, I think I'd probably go nuts with that, I already had a couple of rng dependent kills with just 15 cybers, lol. Also, I couldn't imagine losing an attempt 90 cybers in.

@@doomstuff1 Oh, I don't think I'll ever get a clear on it. It's possible, both with a mouse and with keyboard only, as demonstrated by ToD and gggmork's demos packaged with the wad, but I'm lucky if I get five cybers. And then you have beasts like Jacek Bourne's CyberShot …

The mother demon doesn't summon demons, at least not in the vanilla game. There may be mods where she can in gzdoom or something, but, in this game, her only attacks are the flames that launch the player into the air and the homing missiles.

@Happy Wheeler Including new doom (which I haven't finished yet), the dark lord. Older games, just the forces of Hell in general, I suppose.
