Dear programmers and musicians, please pay attention to the Roland W30 sequencer. It has a "Record by key press" function that, when combined with real-time quantization, is rare. Considering its stability and lack of delays, I would like someone to port the Roland W30 operating system to a computer program on PC. This is possible because Roland uses an Intel 80196 processor.

Impressive that this machine still holds up. This entire sequence programmed and all samples coming from the W-30? Lovely. I had one back in the day. Today, I wish they would have made the JDXI more like this! With sampling and mapping capabilities but with all of todays faders and knobs. Is there such a synthesizer/sampler/workstation today?

This was my first keyboard ever! offered by my parents at the age of 15, in 1988. Sooooooo many compositions made on this mythic keyboard (mythic for me). Does anyone has ever sampled the original sounds of it ? Most particularly the following sounds : Synth 1, Synth 2 and Violin. Unfortunately my own SK200 is now out of order. Would you have the kindness to sample this keyboard please ? I Already wondered which synthesis was at the origin of these unique metallic and synth sounds, but I didn't figure out. Not even phase distorsion after this I had a GEM S2 from 1993 to 2014 and now I am under Native Instruments Komplete 10.

i remember 1992 ...this was my first and last sequencerkeyboard, i took a credit for this thing in my early years. 1994 sold and get an atari st with cubase + Roland Jx3p :-)

I just bought the little brother version (Porta D5) of what you have there. i always wanted one of these multitrack ministudios way "back in the day" when they first came out but couldn't afford one. its the coolest thing to have in making music your own music in your bedroom (or apartment) YOU really know what your doing there.... I wish I HAD your skills like that..So far im just learning how to use my ministudio. its somewhat confusing to me now. but ill get the hang of it like yo.. You seem to be of master class than me.
