    Got one from freedom gorilla, great people. It came in broken, big scratch on the lense, and sealant all over the edges of the lense. Sent it back to them. They sent out a replacement t that came in perfect condition. Ordered a holosun SCS320 in the mean time. Love the green reticle, but no co-witnes.

    even with a high powered firearm any civilian is defenseless against the federal government. you may hypothetically be able to take down low geared and poorly trained soldiers, like in the police or any paramilitary force but you have no chance at defending yourself against the US armed forces unless you're in some sort of armed forces with similar gear, materials and manpower. like how the people in iraq or afghanistan were so good at fighting US soldiers was because the US left arms depots and many of those people had undergone conscription. a spear gun, crossbow or any edged weapon or projectile system will not be able to actually defend your home from anyone but another civilian. but if the government came for the firearms, it's not hard to manufacture new ones, like khyber pass copies.

    • @Tmfndlb
      @Tmfndlb 8 місяців тому

      I meant - how would you protect your home after the government took all your stuff away

    • @gavingoodrich6224
      @gavingoodrich6224 7 місяців тому

      @Tmfndlb well if the government came and bought back my firearm from me, which is what happened in, say, Australia and the UK, I would probably not really do anything. If I lived in a secluded area and owned my own land I would perhaps feel more inclined to try to make firearms but I can't fend off the federal government. I can have a 50 caliber rifle and still the federal government has armored vehicles and tanks and airplanes not to mention insane amounts of soldiers and superior firepower. No matter what I do I alone cannot fend off the armed forces, it would require an entire militia of people with arms to have any chance at fending them off. Which is why in the 2nd amendment it particularly states "a well regulated militia".

    • @Tmfndlb
      @Tmfndlb 7 місяців тому

      @@gavingoodrich6224 it’s funny you mention the 50 cal against the armor. You do know that rounds goes right through armor, right. But, if I had to fend off against a military a speargun obviously would not not do. Might skewer a guy trying to kidnap your daughter and sell her into sex slavery though. All I can say is… not on my watch buddy

    • @gavingoodrich6224
      @gavingoodrich6224 7 місяців тому

      @Tmfndlb a 50 caliber, of course, can go through their armor. It's a military grade weapon, and that's why I mention it. But the point is that I can take down 6 armed cars and the US government has a thousand more just around the bend, along with air support, tanks and infantry troops by the boatload. Also kind of a weird point, most people who break into homes are just stealing personal goods that fence a good price, human trafficking Is very hard and it usually happens to drug addicts, children and really mostly in Central and South America where there is a massive problem with cartel violence. A Speargun though is inefficient, you have one hard to load projectile and a less effective range and timing, its better at that point to just throw what you can grab or try to charge them with a handheld weapon. But of course let's be real about the situation in the US, we have a very large and extensive gun lobby, we have the loosest gun control in the world, most states are barely at risk of any real gun control being passed and as long as you are a responsible gun owner and what you own isn't against the regulations where you live you'll be fine. I own a 22 rifle with 10 rounds. It's perfect for hunting and home defense, and even in countries with extensive gun control, 22 caliber is usually still allowed for those who can hunt or who sport shoot. Also, if all else fails, muskets are easy to produce and have been practically perfected and are legal to make and own in tons of countries around the world.

    That’s what’s called “malicious intent.” You’d be in prison ultra fast using that for home defense. Even someone who just took a couple criminal justice courses could argue that you just wanted to see what that would do to someone. They already try to prosecute people who use hollow points to defend themselves, so I can only imagine how many years you’d get defending yourself with that thing (assuming you hit them at all, which is doubtful).

  • @petersmith6974

    I’m in England. Firearms are nowhere for law abiding citizens to get. (Not allowed) Air guns restricted to low ft lbs. However crossbows are legal and unregulated. That’s the English defence weapon. British law says you can’t defend with weapons. Self preservation over rules that

      You can get firearms. You can get a shotgun certificate relatively easily (no criminal record and no mental illness) and if you have a 'genuine reason' and no criminal record or mental illness, you can get a firearm certificate. There are hundreds of thousands of legally owned firearms in the UK.
