I'm a HUGE mystery knit-a-long knitter, so I feel you on the SALs. I don't often do the cross-stitch ones because it feels too daunting/too time consuming as a multicrafter, but I am doing the Satsuma Street one because I love her aestheric. I am also doing the current Climbing Goat one because my husband has a large interest in astronomy (plus the small little hexes feel pretty satisfying when done). Anyway, whatever makes us happy in our hobby time!

I have a thing about buying pretty threads too lol looking forward to the map project!!

And that map one with the dice rolling is tempting but i will wait to see how it looks first before buying.... tempted with the plants and petracor sal as well but also want to see the first release first before buying - those two are around $50 nz dollars so you can understand my hesitation. plus - do I really need to start yet another thing???? mmmmm gosh so much to stitch- so little time.... why do we have to go to work? lol

Love all the WIPs!! I’ve barely dipped my toes into counted cross stitch. I find it a bit stressful just for the fear of messing up and having to frog!! 😮 but I’m going to have to master it because I have projects I’ve collected the materials for (such as The Deadly Aquarium) and I so love the nicer fabrics! Just trying to get a bit more cross stitching practice under my belt with the stamped cross stitches which I love too as I’m that person when I’m having to count, I count, recount, and likely recount again. And still had to remove a few stitches!! 🫣😩 But I will get there because I have fallen in love with cross stitching!! 😊 I haven’t heard of thread along but very interested in it. Have you used any of the pattern keeps they have available and if so, do you think they are helpful?

Okay, random comment: I was working on my LDS today, Fish N Ships which I'm stitching with DMC 500..... .... ..... and realized that, despite my best efforts, there was a definite dye lot difference between the upper left corner and Every. Thing. Else. It's not recoverable. I'm SO annoyed. I will restart some day and now I have, like, 10 skeins of DMC 500. Oh well.

I have not yet done a Mill Hill kit, nor a beaded kit, but that looks like a lot of fun!

I like being about to see the top down on the side because I can see more of the real color because the top down seems to be skewing things pretty yellow. Seems to work though so you don't have to worry about it while you shoot.

i havent done a mira yet. do most fit on a fat quarter or do you have to used 1/2 yard fabric?

I love your idea for the Book of Days being used to track SALs. I keep loosing track and since I am pretty new to cross stitch I don’t have previous years memory to fall back on for at least repeaters. The Moonlit Market SAL (I’m sure I have the name wrong …) is so cool. I love the bottles and flowers listed on the shelves. Purple is my favorite color also. I will keep coming back to see you and your stitching. 😃
