    I'd love to know how you retarget and generate warm audience pool :)

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro 2 дні тому

      I’ve tested that out too, but the results weren’t great. I’ve actually done a Facebook ads mentorship, and the mentor explained that I’m better off running campaigns with a broad audience, without retargeting, because: The Facebook algorithm adapts and learns the best people to send the ads to in order to get the best results based on the category you chose (e.g., leads). With the same campaign, it automatically retargets those who have engaged with your ads. If you start narrowing down your audience too much, like using just the retargeting custom audience, your audience reach will be much smaller. This way, the Facebook algorithm will struggle to deliver the content and won’t have enough data to learn who are the actual potential leads. When the algorithm struggles to work effectively, the cost per lead (CPL) ends up being more expensive. So again, I only run one campaign for traffic purposes and one campaign for getting leads. I avoid retargeting and niching down to specific audiences because Facebook will learn for you. Facebook ads change all the time, and I learned this from my Facebook ads mentor. What works now might not work next week, but this has been working for me. I keep getting 10-15 leads a week ($10 a day), so I’ll keep doing that until it stops working eventually. Hope that makes sense 😂🫶

    It's very true. I'm a wedding photographer as well. I don't do a lot of them but what I try and do is not make it about me. You need to immerse yourself in the day and be discreet and just be an addition to the day not be the focus of it as photographers we can be very self-centred about the work we do and that's fine but we need to remember that it's not about us on that day. It's about them, good video and good advice

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro 11 днів тому

      I use leads now, like I explained on the video! I don’t filter people out of any campaign. It definitely attract some wrong people (like automatic scam messages, old guys, etc) but I actually did a 1:1 mentorship and the guy said that this is completely normal, and that the fb algorithm adapts over time. The results speak for itself, i keep getting 10 good and legit leads a week with this exact campaign. Watch my video again and follow the steps; give it a couple of weeks to test it out and see how it goes!

    very nice and good information.. Thankyou.. how to set up flash with Sony A7iv and how to setup white balance? Thanks

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro 13 днів тому

      Thank you :) you don’t need to set up flash with the camera. Just put the flash on the camera, and switch to TTL mode which means you don’t need to change anything else a part from the camera settings (just perfect the white balance and exposure on the camera and the flash light will adapt automatically). Does that make sense?

    I loved your video, I was trying to take these paparazzi photos and you were the only video that made it clear, I would like to know what adjustment you make to your flash to take this type of photo, I would be very grateful for your help, I'm doing a wedding in July and I really wanted to take some photos like this

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro 13 днів тому

      I just connect the to the camera and set the flash to TTL mode, which means you don’t need to adjust any settings on the actual flash, as it will be adjusted automatically based on your camera settings; it’s very straightforward! Does that answer your question? I hope you have an amazing wedding in July :) And you have a good flash, just for the paparazzi look, don’t use the bouncer or the diffuser, just point it straight to your subject- have a test before the wedding so you feel confirmation using it!

  • @gillesmatheronpro

    All nice advice, well done ! For folks with a long path in imagery, this is nothing new but it may be very useful for those lost when watching a flash-light of any kind. Just one advice, from my side this time : 4:14... never do that. Never. Ever. Really and seriously. If once you get the opportunity to see what the base of such a flash-light is composed of, in a 1/10th of a second you'll understand why you must absolutely avoid doing this. If you don't get this chance, I just write this one word... an easy one : fragile. Very. Happy photos, and happy weddings !

    Need help! I gave this a try for a few weeks now. Here is my setup: I used marketing captions that are proven to work by searching meta library for old wedding ads that have run for a long time. I set leads as the primary objective to direct clients to send messages to my FB/insta inbox. Here is my 3 week report of money spent. 1. My leads from ads are 100% fake leads that say they are not interested and answering all my automated qualifier questions to fullfil a lead recognised by facebook. I have since added more qualifiers and gotten no leads with fake leads still trying to harass me but being disqualified. 2. I have gotten an influx of spam and scam messages on my business facebook page telling me I have violated ToS and my account will be terminated unless I click on their dodgy link. 3. I have spent about $200 so far running each ad at $5 per day As a bonus, I have tried google ads at $15 a day spent $300 with very little success, 1 or 2 leads that ended up ghosting me after I replied with a professional email and price guide pdf. TLDR: Facebook and instagram ads seems to have brought scammers, spammers and fake leads to my doorstep and I paid hundreds for this.

    Gear does not matter, it just makes it easier. Knowing how to get the results that will make you happy is what matters. If that's shooting on an iPhone in auto mode, so be it. I know plenty of people who have their own wedding shot on everyone else's iPhone, and then everyone shares their photos and videos in one central place, and its a more personalized experience for the couple when they look back. People forget, your not selling photography, you're selling memories.

    • @mjcarneiro

      Hii! Mirrorless cameras have good eye and face tracking. When you use continuous autofocus mode, it's hard to miss focus, even with movement. While some DSLRs do have eye and face tracking autofocus, it's not as advanced or reliable as in mirrorless cameras. And if you're using single-point autofocus with a DSLR and either you or the subject moves, it can easily go out of focus. So definitely not as reliable!

      @@scottwesterman221 Umm I'm not familiar with the a6000, I've only had the a6600 (no dual card slots) and the a6700. I can tell that the a6700 is much better in quality and also with the advantage of having dual card slots which I 10000% recommend having if you're going to be using it professionally. The price difference isn't much, and I totally think it's worth the invest, because at the end of the day you'll be getting the money back soon. I do recommend the A7iv more than the other, as it's a good photo and video camera, reliable and a lot more professional - it's more expensive, but again, if you're serious about growing your business, you need to be thinking long term. What settings do you use on the camera. For portraits, for groups of people and just for the scenery

    Great video! Already working on my ads, how do you setup the Meta pixel with Studio Ninja forms though 😅

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro Місяць тому

      Hiii! So once the meta pixel is connected to your website, you can then create an 'event' to track every time someone clicks on the 'submit form' button on your contact page, and connect this event to a specific ad. On your contact page you need to connect/embed Studio ninja's form instead of using the website default form to track leads under Studio Ninja. While you can't connect FB Pixel directly to Studio Ninja, you can keep track of results by comparing the leads you get under the business manager/pixel page and under studio ninja. Does that answer your question? :)

    • @JabezAlexander
      @JabezAlexander Місяць тому

      @@mjcarneiro Oh right ok so you don't actually set up an event on the studio ninja submit button, but compare just the results! Thank you ☺

    Thank you, great video!! Quick question: someone told me I need a 70-200 for the ceremony. Any thoughts?

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro Місяць тому

      I have the 70-200 too, i used to use it white a lot before (24-70 and 70-200 for ceremony), but I’ve been loving the 24-70mm paired with a prime lens (85mm for me) I’d say you don’t actually need it! What do you use at the moment for the ceremony?

  • @NAM3L3555
    @NAM3L3555 Місяць тому

    The last week I made a wedding alone , I use the sony 50mm 1.2 and tamron 28-75 and for the ceremony I use the sigma 85mm 1.4 with the 50mm maybe I had to use the combo like you with the 28-75 to have more wide shots .

    • @mjcarneiro
      @mjcarneiro Місяць тому

      Oh that’s a good kit for weddings! But yeah having that 28-7mm on you during the ceremony is quite necessary, as you’ll need some wide shots for sure. If you like the prime look, then consider investing on a 24mm or 35mm and pair with your 85mm to get those wide shots during ceremony, reception, etc. But if you don’t want to spend money now, then just use your zoom x

      Thinking of buying the Tamron 28 75, is this a professional durable enough lens? I have tried it out and love the form factor. Glad to see a comment on here of somebody using the Tamron.

      @NAM3L3555 Місяць тому

      @@MaziahMiranda well for the price it's ok I take care of my lenses but if you want the most durable lenses you have to go to the GM , if you think you can buy a couple of this and have a backup for the price of the gm haha but also think in the weight this so light compared to sigma or sony .

    First of is what film to use and to get this developed as there is an awesome amount of old camera equipment all perfectly good is purchased from a reputable dealer. Second is the form factor used whether 35mm (most common) or 2 inch/2×2. The latter makes the most sense for this type of "art" basically...but kodachrome film was such a game changer back in the day and so much performance be had from said cameras for a beginniner anyways 35mm makes by far the most sense for "going there" and yes you are "going there" with this type of approach as it is so incredibly demanding even for a beginner and even using a niche setting.
