Only thing i don't like about the pomoly tipi style tents is not enough ventilation for consideration in the colder winter months

Great vid - liking some of the little arty snippets you're getting in there., look awesome. My camper car experience included a green Passat estate but that was after a 1997 mondeo that had a bit more leg room and seats folded totally flat, was mint. Me the missus and a 3 month old at a festival slept pretty good, not great for breast feeding though as can't situp. Next upgrade I'm thinking would be something like a Seat Alhambra with seats out so you can sit up, thought the Sportage would have a bit more height than that ;) Me other top tip, duvet unnderneath and on top for cozy comfort. Weirdest wake up I had was to 2 people leaning against the car having a chat in the morning so were talking really close and wobbling the car, I was too hungover to ask em to move nicely :)

I sympathize in regards to the midges. A week ago I was camping in the Canadian Shield (Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba), doing a little fishing, when a storm hit amd I had to retreat at pace to my SUV camper conversion. The rain pummled the roof and the wind shook tie vehicle for 15 minutes, tjen died down. By this time the sun had set and I had a one hour window before the forecast said the rain would retun and continue through the night. The plan was to take down my tarp then hunker down for the night inside the SUV. Nature had other plans, though. I emerged from the camper into a cloud of mosquitoes so thick they were hitting my head like rain drops. I was breathing them. I made a noise like a sasquatch then tore down the tarp and chucked it into the back of the vehicle, mud and all. I roared out of the campground with all windows open and fan blasting to try to expell the blood sucking critters. Passers-by would have heard my screams with full Doppler effect...eeeeEEEEAAAAaaaa....!!!!! punctuated by slaps and smacks on my bald head!

I see now that the tent has no extra guylines on the sides like the Lanshan has. Makes it less stable in stronger winds and rain.

When I started camping, I had a $20 - two man pup tent I purchased through Civil Air Patrol. But when I saw the product placement for one of these pop up tents in the movie Congo, I simply had to have one of my own, and can’t tell you what happened to my two man pup tent. My wife forced me to purchase a larger one which will fit a queen size mattress inside, but the one you just reviewed looks even more spacious, and even more waterproof than the one we own from Coleman. I do wonder about transporting the tent if I were to go bike fishing and wanted to spend the night, but as they say, every problem contains it’s own solution. I enjoyed your review of the 🏕. Very well done young man!! 😇

I was just up at fontburn reservoir last night in the van, a mean it's £10 a night for a car park, but it's got water point, and toilets, was the only one there it was dead silent

Oh mate can't believe you were right on our doorstep. Where you were stood in the intro is exactly where I cooked breakfast last week! Lads church is beautiful. There's also an old hanging rock not too far from there. We're in your manor in a couple of months so looking forward to getting out up there.
