There are so many things wrong with this video. You should have used sharp tools with proper rake and relief angles, more appropriate surface and feeding speed etc. That being said Acetal machines nicer than UHMW but that demonstration was hard to watch.

Looks like the battery had to be relocated to fit that turbo in there.

Hey. I'm looking to do the same swap you did, 13b into my NB. I've already got a MS pnp3pro installed on the stock wiring harness. Can you please give me insight on the electrical side of this swap, how did you go about running your 13b on megasquirt? Did you wire everything yourself or did you tap into the stock miata wiring harness?? Any info would be awesome..... Everyone on FB forums tells me it'll be a huge headache to do so... You are the only person I've seen do this exact combo. I need your secrets!!!

Just got done a job using this stuff when someone ordered it instead of Delrin because it was cheaper. Ya can't use carbide insert tools. Ya need to go old school. High-speed steel tool bit ground 15deg top and side , and RAZOR sharp. I ground mine on my surface grinder. Stoned it mirror smooth. Heat/friction is your enemy. Run about 200rpm and .005" feed per rev. Comes off like plastic wrap off the roll.pb68slab

There is to much sticking out of chuck , you had delrin short in chuck . Uhmw is deflecting. Not a fair test

That's fricken sweat, dude! What 13b did you use? It sounds like a renesis msp to me. Hey, those trumpets look awesome, but you really need to filter your intake air. A tiny spec of grit can wreak havoc inside your rotor housings.

I’m learning more about my little ATV muffler repacking project, but I’m getting antsy bcuz I want the bike back together! So the stainless steel wool heats up/glows but the ceramic fiber doesn’t, yet the ss wool is wrapped around the core first to keep the wool from blowing out between the baffles...seems kind of retarded but wtf do I know. Why wouldn’t they use some kind of Kevlar or something that doesn’t burn to retain the ceramic fiber. Cost? Or does something like that not exist?
