I love your videos, and the type of products you are making! Little tip I’ve seen in other UA-cam videos, don’t cut the thread between the pieces of webbing until you have finished sewing all of them, just lift the foot and slide the piece the inch or two. It’s faster and uses less thread!

No background muzak. Way to go! Maybe your machine is not optimal for binding? The cylinder arm machine I use for binding have the binding attachment synchronized with the walking foot. And with the attachment from Evernice ( Mine is too ), the tape width needs to be exactly right for the attachment. Just a tiny bit off, and binding becomes almost impossible. Yours looks like it is a bit too narrow. It will not be equal on both sides, and the stitches miss the tape on the underside. It's frustrating. And I sometimes wish I could find that kind of binding material. it looks more flexible than the webbing I got.

Nice video. Except for the "music". It does not bring anything to a sewing video. And for us who do not have english as a L1 language it is distracting. Thumbs up for content and execution, not for presentation. It's good enough to make me curious and look at one of your more recent videos. ;-)

Amazing work. A great resource for MYOG, the reminders about keeping things within seam allowance are great. How do you tell where to mark/cut relief cuts for the gussets? Do you just measure out based on how long each straight section is?

    • @SewingProjects

Yes. The cuts will be equal to the finished side length. Add the seam allowance to the thickness of the gusset.
