Another memorable Monster track I couldn't find in the OST or uploaded anywhere else, so once again I mixed & matched the scenes I remembered using it to remove as many vocals and background noises as possible. I assume this was also composed by Kuniaki Haishima for the show, like most of its score, since Shazam didn't give me any leads on this one either.

One of two tracks I really loved in the show but couldn't find in the soundtrack, or uploaded anywhere else on UA-cam actually. So I just spliced together all the scenes I could remember that used it, and cherry-picked them to omit as many vocals/background noises as possible (or at least prioritize the less annoying ones lol.) I assume this was composed by Kuniaki Haishima for the show like mo...

Yeah, I joked about it earlier in the vid, but I swear I had no idea that was how things would turn out. LOL. Enjoy my cheering for Lunge's badassery, and my shock at how Urasawa chose to bring this story full circle.

Man... This part was a lot. Enough to make me unpack a little more of what Grimmer's character made me think about during the Prague arc.

We finally get some majorly illuminating insight into the twins' backstory, relationship, and personal goals as our final arc begins. Also Lunge and Grimmer make for an unexpected but not at all unwelcome new duo!

Crazy Taxi | Reaction to Monster Episodes 61, 62, & 63

The sandbox thing was nuts. Calling this set "crazy taxi" mainly because of Dinger, but it also vaguely encompasses the other two episodes because uhh... Nina's Čapek flashbacks involve being in a car... Tenma is hit by a car before Milan rescues him... and yeah! I could already feel the buildup to the finale starting at this point.

Thanks
Aye glad to see more of Pluto!
Yay new upload! I'm glad you're back, I was a bit worried when I rewatched the first video and realised you mentioned moving from Lebanon to Canada, I really hope you're doing alright with the horrible situation going on there
It's been difficult but I appreciate the well wishes, thank you

Watched it many months ago, but I always come here back here. A great AMV, for a masterpiece like Monster.
Pluto is so underrated, always glad to see people reacting to it. Looking forward to more reactions!
Also your beef with hoffmann is hilarious
Also Also you're like super good at analysing things, your predictions are really interesting
Thanks for your comments; more is on the way soon!
Really well made damn
Nice to see your reaction to this! Fun facts(I hope these won't spoil ur enjoyment of the show from knowing a bit of background about it) - Pluto is a tribute to Astro Boy and based on a story arc from it tho most ppl here wouldn't know cuz "Atom" is the Japanese name for Astro Boy. The Japanese doctor that saved the old man is actually a nob to Black Jack from Astro Boy's mangaka.
Oh interesting, I had no idea about that!
De que trata??
Algo tarde pero, Monster es un anime de misterio y suspenso con una historia llena de momentos oscuros, bonitos etc, la recomiendo mucho si tienes ganas y tiempo para verla.
Omg thank you!! 🥹
People with more audio editing knowledge than me need to make more of these fr. Anyway, I get these could potentially be considered two tracks, but hearing Čapek's record reminded me so much of that Nina-associated theme from the beginning that I literally thought they were the same track before comparing them lol. They fit together so well I had to overlay them a bit, and Čapek's mental breakdown largely comes from thinking one of the twins will come kill him anyway so let's go. If you're interested in the other one I made, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/BvP1dWExV5c/v-deo.html
Made this for myself more than anything, but figured others might enjoy it too! I called it "you can start over" because it reminds me of early Monster and my first real impression of what Tenma stands for (his simple quote to Junkers, which I figured could apply to Maurer and Rosso too.) Here's the second one I put together: ua-cam.com/video/4W8aih6SA_I/v-deo.html
Thank you 😊
The most beautiful affecting character's story in this show. Yeah, Grimmer is my favourite even if I see Lunge is the best objectively.
Peak anime 🔥 with a peak story telling
Peak AMV for peak fiction
Liking these Grimmer-focused episodes. I can see why you like this character a lot. Ohhh this is the part with the infamous parts between Milos and “Nina”/Johan...damn it was really fcked up... But yeah, in hindsight, he was projecting his own abandonment issues on that poor kid. His little monologue about life and death was pretty poetic though, it stood out to me 8:55 YES. YES HE IS. AHH Man that catharsis of Grimmer finally feeling emotion and love was so great Oh, I totally forgot that Lunge met Suk Lunge spoke facts about how a detective needs to calmly dissect a case and all that. But it’s pretty hypocritical since he was letting his personal fixation on Tenma get in the way 19:00 broo the way Lunge calmly walks up to the guy and just pushes down his gun is SO BALLSY MAN I LOVE THIS GUY. This fr inspired me, if someone ever points a gun at me in real life I’m going to reenact this scene, I WILL FR Aww, I’m glad Milos seemed happy after getting back to the orphanage. He might not have a good family, but he has good friends, and that can be almost as important AYY EVA SHOWED UP AGAIN. Honestly I grew a soft spot for her especially on my second watch of the show And omg, we even saw briefly again those people from the village that Tenma helped, and the Vietnamese doctor...that’s sweet
LUNGE SIGMA GRINDSET LUNGE SIGMA GRINDSET
drew's backstory fully elucidated. i have earned something from this viewing experience
kris watching this: naruhodo
Hope everyone's doing alright! Lately I've had my hands full adjusting to another country, but I wanted to upload something in the meantime. I don't know if I'll finish this, but I'm labelling it a WIP because it doesn't exactly "end" as I would end a full version, and generally doesn't meet my standards for a completed AMV (e.g. I would retrieve higher-quality clips with no subtitles so I could add my own in a uniform font, be pickier about certain transitions/effects, spice up most of the latter half overall, and so on.) But I hope this is enjoyable anyway! When I do get around to recording again, I am still thinking of moving on to Pluto. If people would be interested in seeing something else from me, just let me know. Cheers
“It’s been a little cold” that “little cold” must feel like a tropical day compared to the Canadian winter you’re experiencing now Man watching through the Jan arc again kind of makes me realize that Jan is basically a less impressive, lil bitch version of Tenma lol (still like him though) 10:04 huh you actually make a good point, I didn’t think of that myself. The memes tho lol. I mean from a psychological perspective, associations are powerful, right? Might be a stretch but sort of like Pavlov’s dog. Dog was conditioned to associate food with the bell, these kids were conditioned to associate their actions/identity with stories they were shown. Bruh that part where the real Nina is walking down the street and all these strangers greet her like they know her is sooo unnerving. Imagine that happening to you, bunch of people you don’t know, who seem to know you... Omg. The part with the guy showing his nephew. Who turns out to be Roberto! I’m still shocked by that twist. So strange that the kid who didn’t even like to hurt insects turned out to be...that. And 21:46 LOLLLL fr these little memes and edits you put are so golden 30:15 Johan’s devious expression is so funny on Nina’s face
MAN yes every single day I have spent in Lebanese winters feels tropical compared to this right now lmao, help "Jan is basically a less impressive, lil bitch version of Tenma" okay that's actually so real 😭
What’s funny about Johan is that himself doesn’t know what the fuck he is doing lol. I mean the dude changed goals 4 times over the show.
What is the the other 2 times? I remembered just when he changed his goal in Munich Library when he found the book of Bonaparta and he started crying. Of course he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing because he considers himself non-existent 😅 like Lunge said. He is the represantation of void , I think he is evil by nature because I can't imagine a child can did those horrible crimes since childhood and the experiences of childhood are just increase his evil. My big problem with him is that: the most of his actions and plans still off screen, the most of moments just the other characters talk about him.
Throughout the whole show he was trying to make everyone forget about him, and in the end he would commit "ideal suicide".
holy SHIT that build up was amazing!
Grimmer is my most favorite side character of all time. I just really like him
Yeah, Grimmer is so great dude
He was a minor character but I got attached to Jan Suk for some reason, I felt for him being insecure in a new role and trying to push himself 2:52 lmao I just love your little edits PRAUGE POLICE MOTHAFUCKEN CANDIES AGAIN 22:49 HAHAHAHA 25:31 I still maintain this is the most goddamn ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in an anime and that’s saying a LOT. LIKE THAT SHIT DOESNT MAKE SENSE DAWG. Even you were speechless for like a whole minute 😭😭
Lol you talking about getting your new laptop is making me nostalgic even though it wasn’t that long ago WE MEET THE MVP GRIMMER. Remember when I first thought he was Johan and Nina’s dad LOL. I really liked the interactions between him and Tenma and I especially liked their first meeting on the train where Grimmer acted clever in covering for him, just such a cool scene lol 13:28 that was a great analysis, I think that’s one reason why this show has a deep sense of humanity. It reminds me of the concept of sonder, “The profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one's own, which they are constantly living despite one's personal lack of awareness of it”. 20:05 lollll this is why I love Grimmer he’s so easygoing while he’s always one step ahead of everyone AHHH FCKING NAIL TORTURE I CANT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT WITHOUT GETTING SO BOTHERED...
LMAOOO YEAH I REMEMBER YOUR GRIMMER IS THE TWINS' DAD THEORY
Haha, I remember we watched two of these episodes together, the one with the Vietnamese doctor and the one where Lunge meets the Japanese businessmen. It was fun I also remember I got so confused about the adoptive Liebert parents and you had to explain it to me. Honestly still think the whole thing is convoluted, and too unbelievable even for Monster's standards... The Tenma childhood flashback... You know, even now, I wonder what the purpose was in showing that scene. It's intriguing but I'm trying to think why. Was it maybe a way to reveal that Tenma wants to prove himself? When he was a kid apparently he was timid, but now as an adult he's carrying out a very ballsy task. Or, maybe it's actually showing that this feeling of being left behind by everyone like he did as a kid playing hide and seek, is something he still feels now? He is now abandoned by society as an outlaw, and as mentioned earlier sometime, even his own family didn't stick up for him. Might be reading too much into that scene, but it's fun to think about 37:50 lmao the way the guy looks at Lunge talking to himself, then is like "oh it's just Lunge being Lunge" and looks away Also I know this is such a miniscule detail but it triggered thoughts in me-it's when the Vietnamese girl said that she was adopted by a wealthy couple so that they could show off how they're helping a "poor yellow skinned girl". That happens a lot in real life lol, richer people or people from first world countries adopting poor children from third world countries as a status symbol basically. You see celebrities do it too. I actually remember coming across a blog about the experiences of adoptees, and a lot of them went through this situation, it was kind of depressing tbh, they talked about how a lot of the time their heritage and family lineage gets cut off from them and leaves them in an identity crisis, especially because their adoptive parents usually dont care for their background and just expect them to blend in to their own, and a lot of them get passed around from home to home because they're too inconvenient or difficult for the adoptive parents, like apparently it's a pretty common thing for adopted kids to be given away by their adoptive parents when they get sick and their medical expenses get too high... A relevant example I can think of is a controversy that happened here on UA-cam, where some American blogger adopted a Chinese orphan and flaunted him around in her videos, but then gave up on him after she found it too difficult to deal with his autism. It's just...yeah. A broken system. In the blog I came across I also read how most adoption programs are basically for-profit industries that aren't nearly as interested in the well-being of orphans as they are in finding wealthy sponsors. Basically using the most vulnerable people in society as commodities, as depressing as that sounds
Yeah, there's so much corruption in adoption systems it's insane
Hi, @xPrincessGarnetXVI said everything, you truly are The One, that's so good I have to download it

Great reaction. After watching this masterpiece (being the anime that most faithfully adapts its original manga), in order to unravel some of the doubts/mysteries you may have, you should read the sequel novel to the original manga titled *Another Monster* (the synopsis is below). - - - - - This novel tells from the point of view of an Austrian journalist who is investigating a recent massacre that occurred in a hospital on the outskirts of Salzburg (Austria) at the hands of a serial killer who subsequently committed suicide, which led the local police authorities to close the case (Keep in mind that the events in Monster take place in Germany and the Czech Republic, in addition to two scenes that occur in the south of France; nothing happened in Austria). However, the journalist investigates a possible connection between that massacre and the famous Case J that shook Germany the previous year, so he decides to interview different people involved in Case J, since his hypothesis is that there is another similar monster on the loose.
An amazing AMV for a masterpiece series.
That was sick. But the best Monster amv isua-cam.com/video/36pnnqTFEyw/v-deo.htmlsi=dHGsUYAYoDJWNRoh You should definitely check it out.
YES I love that one!
Best AMV of monster till now
Pluto anime is also great. Made by the same author
I've heard of Pluto, but had no idea it was adapted into an anime. This is the second comment I get mentioning it, so it may well be the next thing I watch!
@@D23RDM yes it is also great 👍 you should give it a try and the animation is also top tier
Great reactions! Any plans to watch Pluto, the new Anime from the same author?
Also, any thoughts about this analysis on Monster's ending? ua-cam.com/video/dU2uy4oyq2w/v-deo.htmlsi=ZIiWVHWbdONLgB9J
Thanks for the feedback! And yeah I'm heavily considering Pluto for my next series, seeing as I've come to respect Urasawa's work a lot and this isn't the only comment I've gotten about it. As for the analysis you linked, that's one of several I've watched since completing Monster and definitely one of my favorites. It addresses the series directly without delving into other loosely-related tangents for too long (like some other analyses I've seen...lol) and feels pretty solid/gounded. It doesn't highlight everything there is to speculate about Johan's character imo, but the aspects it does cover are interesting. If you want my two personal favorites that come to mind, I'd recommend these: - This analysis of Johan's motivations by thisismyllamalouie (which I found impressively laser-focused on his development throughout the narrative, and which goes beyond the general gambling/nihilistic undercurrent to his personality) ua-cam.com/video/9S2CyeYnH5g/v-deo.htmlsi=IG4NVmIEPZoX33TL - This short but sufficiently concise explanation of the ending and its merit from a meta perspective, by SeaGee (who iirc was strongly influenced by the video you linked and references it as well) ua-cam.com/video/c4WG-MSDQFA/v-deo.html I don't remember the precise details of any of these to say whether I agreed with them 100%, but they all struck me as reasonable conjectures overall and gave me a lot of food for thought. Tbh I'm very likely to make my own analysis video for Monster at some point, covering things I haven't seen in the videos I watched but which they definitely helped me think of for myself. It's always fun to see how many people analyze this series with their own takeaways, because there's a lot to discuss!
I am Japanese. I am sorry I do not understand the language you speak, but it is interesting to see your reaction to the video. In the novel "Another monster Johan is still in a coma and his subsequent whereabouts remain a mystery. It is also mentioned that Johan and Nina were living in separate facilities, but had such a deep connection that they had telepathic conversations with each other. One wonders what the reason was for Johann to pick up Nina at Heidelberg Castle and what world line would have existed had he succeeded.
Truly haunting. A great amv for a great series

@@D23RDM OF KORSE WTF !!
This was absolutely fantastic. The proper title for this would be an ASMV (anime story music video. ) And you've done an incredible job editing the voice overs and syncing out it up to convey the story you wished to tell. I wish there were more videos like this out. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Gotta admit, I kind of jumped when I got this comment because I recognize your username and you've made some of my favorite Monster AMVs/ASMVs on UA-cam lol. I appreciate your feedback; thank you
