What would be the weight difference between an interior like this compared to one made of plywood?
@@Eddie_-_ I will say very much the same . Depending on the type of woods, now days a lot of interiors made from light weight plywood, no heavy duty sliders, instead they used Teflon , that will be very light but no strength. My technical opinion and thoughts : Using aluminium you are gaining space , strength and durability , more protection against water, moisture and condensation. With aluminium you will avoid chipping and cracking. Any time you can take it out and get it re painted after Even 20 years 😊. Bolt throw play-wood vs bolt through Alminuim. Imagine which one will shear first along hard road and corrugation 🤷🏽♂️. Age and condensation can cause timber frames to warp, shrink, swell or even rot if left uncared for. On the other hand, aluminium joinery has been known to last for decades without a fuss. Lightweight and extremely tough, aluminium is more resistant to the elements than timber
@@mission4x4 thanks for the detailed answer. I would also be pro aluminum. The reason for asking is that I’m considering to buy a troopy with a very solid, but also looking heavy plywood interior. I’m not in Australia, so the options I have are few.

Yes, the kaymar bar has standard Jerry can holders , I have fitted few on 200 😊

Normally thats the most dust and mud collecting location on my tourer. Good idea for functionality but not sure I want to keep my BBQ back there. Sand on beach may be ok. Not on the red dust.
Good point , that’s why my bbq stays inside a custom sealed bag with straps, the bag is available from mission 4x4, I have traveled on extreme dusty roads for days, you open the bag , bbq good as gold no dust at all mate 👌🏾

Using rivets is a bad idea , it creates a weak point and has. Nothing to support it from behind the body panel,,nuts & bolts ,with washers behind the body panel would be far more superior
i agree with you , the only issue with that is, the majority of the Troopys have internal fit out with electrics and water fitting, if the table is damaged or need to be replaced , it means you need to remove the interior fit out to access the nuts, to me that is a big job and costly, that's why i use BLDU stainless steel structural rivets which created a body washer from inside, this type of rivets used in aircraft and can hold stress and Vibrations . there is 12 Rivets in total on each table, and that's a lot of strength. If there is any issues in future, simply just drill them out. I have sold nearly 500 table in the past 2 years, and not a single problem. I hope this help

Mate, Long time didn’t see something from you on YT. Guess very busy… I am waiting for your gww for the 200 series since many moons…. Best together with a matching cargo barrier in webbing style with a reach through opening. Sheet metal cargo barrier are totally overpriced on the market, crazy prices asked for. Laser cut such things cost in China production a few dollar only. 316 SS 2.0 or 2.5 mm thick per meter?? One phone call away… Looking forward. Cheers .

The gull wing window is great and so easy to install, I also purchased the spare wheel storage mount and max trax table. The external storage uses the spare wheel bolts to mount, really good for external storage great for chainsaw or fishing gear. I have purchased a few items from him and can’t recommend him enough.
