I really want to read the sequel to Stardust Thief this year??!! It was pushed back, I think. I’m nervous though that it will ruin the first! 😅 I don’t read a ton of new releases so I need to see what’s out there that I’m interested in. I’m trying the second Emily Wilde and I think the third ones out this in spring?

I love Katherine Center's Books! They are great on audio too!

Have you read Crosstalk by Connie Willis? 😄♥️ it’s a sci fi/technology romance. Ha. It’s interesting! I’m due for a reread! I’m struggling with Praying with Jane Eyre. Just the tone. 😞

I've read a couple of Mhairi McFarlane novels. The first one was set near one of my local cities and was funny as some of the rural picturesque sounding names are no longer rural but a bit grimly urban - she lived in the area and obviously found it amusing - the main problem with that one was it ended on a cliffhanger and I didn't know that when I bought it! The second one tackled a difficult topic, the abuse the main male character endured when a child.

This will be the first time I’ve read Jane Eyre and I’m so excited!!!

First off, I need to say I love Lola. As I listen and watch you, she sometimes is on the chair behind you, watching the screen it appears. She is a smile maker. And other times she is following her muse. haha I have a fifteen year old beagle, Bitty, who is a character in her own right. Also, regarding the book club, I read Jane Eyre the first time twelve years ago during a difficult, grief filled time. I have just begun to reread it last week. I agree with what you said about being different people each time we reread a book. I am looking forward to these two reads. Also having trouble with joining or even finding the book club on Fable. The page comes instead saying I need to be invited.

I'm so excited for this book club!! I have been waiting for this since you posted the video with all of the books introducing the book club!! When I clicked the link in both places, though, for Fable, it said I needed an invitation. 😒

Exciting I haven't read the non fiction so that should be interesting.

My absolute favourite of the year was 'Glorious Exploits' I loved it. I have 'The Ministry of Time' - haven't read it yet.

The Christmas book I've read so far haven't quite been what I'm looking for, one overlong and frankly what woman in the world would behave like that? Etc but there's plenty more kicking around the house.

I picked up the same Marie Antoinette ornament in Paris in January. I love that you shared these special ornament memories.

I love sentimental ornaments for the tree and that sit in a room. My mother made a papier mache Santa which came out every year until it fell apart.

The weather's slightly warmer most winters now but the virus situation in winter is the same.

Love love your choices! All I want for Christmas has such a wonderful cast - Lauren Bacall is the most elegant grandmother ever, and that Christmas tree at the end! I haven’t seen Love Hard, but plan on it. Klaus is so good - have you watched Arthur Christmas, and That Christmas, new on Netflix? They’re wonderful … Christmas Chronicles with Kurt Russell too! Can’t do The Shining… I love S King, but I can’t watch the movies, I’m wimpy when it comes to watching scary movies:)
