I never had the opportunity to see Eric in cream John Mahal, Derek and the Dominos but I did see him live in LA in 76. He was absolutely amazing. As a matter of fact he got the place so riled up the first 8 or 10 rows were folding chairs people were sitting in and they started throwing these things around . I was in the fourth row and could see Eric real clear. Never saw anybody who could play guitar like that ever. He played badge that night with two choruses that extended period Ringo Starr was in the wings and he was screaming

I'm obsessed with the drumming of Jim Gordon and the many hits he played on. Radle is always in the pocket, and Whitlock is a great backup singer for Clapton. His backing vocal on Bell Bottom Blues gives me chills.

Claptons strat tone here for the most part is clean..
