Great video.....Images came out nice.... Keep it up brother....
Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words!!
@@photohuch no sweat. I just started a photography UA-cam channel too. So I feel what you’re going through. Every subscribe like and comment means a lot!
I may have missed it, but which canon camera are you using? I'm planning to upgrade (maybe in about a year) from my Canon EOSM (the original in 2012) which I've been learning on for 3 years. I love it, but I'm facing many limits (processing speeds, grain, focus, etc.). I'd like to stick with mirrorless - I love how compact and familiar it is. I'm looking at the R6 Mark ii, the R7, and might even hold out and see if canon will release an R7 mark ii and if its competitive. I love to shoot macro and wildlife, but the dream is to be able to photograph skating as well (figure skating is my favorite sport).
Thanks for watching! I shot this video using a 70d , the R6 & 7’s are beasts
I am because of we. Heading to the equestrian park with camera for the 1st time in an hour -I love both techniques and will use both thank you
2:20 Kay Pop! I have one of her other LOTR art pieces. There’s Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter and many other things.
I'd LOVE to see the Aurora. Still on my bucket list. Hope the fires aren't bad this year.
I'm always at car shows, but I continue to have trouble "seeing" the composition for amazing shots like these. Thank you, this really helped. I'm at a military vehicle show tomorrow. Hopefully you have inspired me to look for new angles.
Thanks for watching! Good luck tomorrow. Cheers!
I like your approach here. I shot a car show the other day, down on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in a town called Orange Beach, Alabama. I hadn't shot a car show in several years . I was quite overwhelmed by the amount carts at the show! it was a bright sunny day as most car shows seem to be . There were cars everywhere ,so it was difficult to figure out what was what . The place where they had the show had an open shopping area with streets and a large field ,plus there was a bridge above and there were cars under the bridge. It was quite chaotic but I managed to get some good shots. I have a Canon EOS R and a 24-70 RF 2.8 and a 16-35 EF F4 lens. Both are amazing lenses ,razor sharp ! When I shot the cars ,I was always mindful of what was behind me when I backed up ,I didn't want to back into someone . Folks were nice to step a side while I shot a car .
Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate it. Cheers 🥂!
thanks for impressions, I like to start this year with such photography. I like both (fast or slow) ,,,
Thanks so much for watching!!🤘🏻❤️
Great job, good voice for this
Thanks boss and thanks for watching!
I know this was from 3 years ago, but wondered if all of these buildings are still standing? We are planning an excursion there in May of this year and would love to shoot with them in the images.
Hi shel, thanks for watching! There are all still there! I hope you enjoy that area. Also check out the 11 bridges road and the Wayne hotel. Another great spot. Cheers and thanks again! Cory
@@photohuch awesome, thanks. Hoping to time it right to get some Milky Way images :)
So glad your video found me! We go to Banff at least once a year and some of these are completely new. Thanks for the insights!
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it 🤘🏻❤️ If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me. Cheers Cory
Nice shots. It is a bit tricky there with the parking as you say. I'm looking forward to the Wednesday shows starting up again.
Thanks for watching 🤘🏻❤️ Can’t wait till summer!
Absolutely loved your hero shot of the train Cory. I really hope I can get something similar when I visit in a few weeks time.
Thanks for watching Dawn! I really appreciate it. I love that hero shot❤️❤️❤️ Any questions about your upcoming trip feel free to reach out 🤘🏻
What time were you there? and how long did you have to wait between the two trains?
Hey Ronnie, thanks for watching ! I got there about 11am (I think). That day the wait between was about 25-30mins. The wait between trains can be fairly short (30min) or an hr or more just depends on the luck of the draw. Unfortunately, there is no set train schedule to look up. I wish there was.
Fantastic!!!
Thank boss, Cheers!
hello just wondering what camera and lens you used?
Thanks for watching! For this video I was using a Canon 70d and a 70-200 lens. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and reach out. Thanks again. Huch
Thank you for the awesome video. I just learned about this technique and I’ve photographed one bubble with a macro lens but heard you could use a regular lens so I did that and with only having a prime lens it didn’t work as well so thought I would get some instructions and stumbled upon your video! Thank you for all the of great information you provided! I will use my kit lens and see how that works. Do you video and shoot while your videotaping?? Or just take the pictures?
Thanks for watching!❤️🤘🏻 I do a little of both . Just depends on the day lol
Good tutorial. My only problem is that you didn't use the lens hood.
No worries. I thought about using it but The light wasn’t blasting into the lens causing any flair issues. I usually due use it but went rouge for that day. LoL PS- thanks for watching 🤘🏻❤️
Excellent tutorial! Thanks for the formula & the detailed instruction.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.🤘🏻❤️
Thank you so much for this. My fiancé and I are taking her parents to Oglebay in Wheeling, WV on Saturday. Being new to photography, I've been researching how to shoot Christmas lights at night and decided to check UA-cam. You've helped me tremendously. Merry Christmas, and thank you again.
Thanks Randy!!! Good Luck Buddy!!!
@@photohuch Thank you!!
would this be possible if i didnt have someone to take the photos? ( if im on the horse)
Hi Cory can you tell me what week in Jan do you think would be best to go?? thanks
It really depends on the year but typically the first few weeks in Jan. are. best. If there's not a lot of freeze melting cycles the ice stay clear longer. Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤❤❤. Those poor animals wouldn't be there if humans weren't idiots 😢
Agreed, luckily there are good people like Yamnuska to help these animals 🤘🏻❤️
Thanks! I've been to Banff 3 times now but still never knew about that pool at Cascade Garden! I also saw that gate at Castle Junction but never went in as we weren't sure if it was allowed. Now I know! Funny enough I have one video on my channel and it's of a large brown bear on Castle Junction just before the train tracks lol. Some of my favorite less crowded spots that are super easy to get to: Vermillion Lakes (multiple spots), Two Jack Lake by the chairs or it's own "spirit island" and Mt. Norquay especially at sunset and Mt. Rundle glows.
A Griz sighting is always so magical! Love Love Love! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful. Perfect. Thank you for showing this location. I don't want to miss this spot again, as as I have done on previous visits. I hope it doesn't rain next time.
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks for watching , I really appreciate it!
A little hint for Morant's Curve especially in the winter. Go out to Field and hang out, grab a coffee and wait for an eastbound train to leave. If you take your time going back to Morant's, the train should be along in about 30 minutes or so. You could even stop at Spiral Tunnels or grab another coffee at Laggan's in Lake Louise.
amazing! Thank you
Thanks for watching! I appreciate ti.
Your film production keeps on improving.
Thanks buddy🤘🏻❤️. I’m trying
Good stuff. Planning to be in the area in the next two weeks. Didn’t realize moraine lake was closed to personal vehicles.
Fall and winter are my favourite time to photograph Banff!!
hey I know its been 4 years.. but WHat lens did you use? I use 70-200 but with distance for you didnt know?
Hey Ron, I was using my 70-200. If I remember correctly, I did have to do a little cropping in Lightroom, on a few images , but for other shots that day I didn't have to crop at all. (I'm not a photographer who is against cropping when needed.) I don't have a 400 mm lens so I do what I can with the equipment I have. I wish I did have a 400mm lens though!! LOL Thanks for watching! Huch PS- Feel free to ask my anything.
I got hooked 10 years back, and go all I can. even to the point when I ask the wife to go, she gives me a evil look. I have been using my 70-200 or 24-70 24-105 for smaller arena's I am here in North Carolina. Ron..@@photohuch
Great! Little help pls; have a canon EOS m50 mrk2. The instruction manual says don't use it below 0 degrees Celsius. ¿Does it means the camera get damaged if I shut photos in the cold Winter? ( -10 degrees ) I Know I should put it in plastic bag When go from outdoors to indoors, to avoid condensación. But wil camera suffer also during the Time I keep it Out in the cold?😢 Also, how avoid damage when in foggy and humidity in the air? Thanks✌
I don't see -10C being a problem at all. Just keep your batteries warm in your jacket. Also don't open your camera bag for a while after you come back inside from being out in the cold. Let it slowly warm back up. Think of it like a pair of glasses coming in for the cold. They immediately fog up when the lenses hit the warm air. I'm sorry but 'm not sure about the EOS 50 weather sealing when it comes to fog and humidity . I'd check to see if it has any weather sealing. Sorry, I wish I was more helpful for you. Maybe check in with your local camera store and ask the sales staff about the EOS 50. Cheers!
@@photohuch thank you. I was worried that below zero, I might damage the sensor, screen, electronic part, etc. My camera is not weather sealled, so i guess it helps if i cover it When outdoors and make shure water dont get to it. As for freeze cold; ¿the freeze cold itself dont damage it, but try to enshure slow temperature change and keep it in plástico bags When go indoor? In that case, i guess that when the manufacturer recomend not use it below zero, is not because you damage camera, but because of bateries? (the store sold it to me, is searching info in google, imagine how Much they know. I search info in blogs and UA-cam🙂). The things is that I didn't understand why they not use it below zero. But if is only because bateries, it make sense. Thank you very much
Well I’m making my way out to Banff on the 9th of September and I’m very hopeful to visit Moraine lake, cause in June I wasn’t able to do so. I’m planning to spend a night in Jaspers, so any suggestions to visit certain places for photography? I love the lakes in the Rockies and I’m a big fan of waterfalls. I’m not sure if I get to see the Milky Way and the northern light’s, unless it will be too soon for all that expectations.
Book Moraine early! LOL If you can find a tour to jump on bit It's very popular. TOO POPULAR ! LOL but amazing !!!!!!! Jasper is amazing. A true hidden gem that is really overshadowed but Banff. I love BOw LAke, Peyto lake on the drive out. So many perfect spot on the Columbia Ice Feilds Road as you drive out to Jasper from Calgary / Banff. Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls are nice, and Pyramid lake is nice for stars. Jasper is a dark sky preserve so any where out of town will not disappoint for stars. As for Northern lights, they can be hard to predict. If you pop over to facebook and join / follow the Alberta Aurora Chasers group you get updates from them on when the Aurora might be out. It's not an every night thing like some might think. I follow them and when there a solar flare they even give an estimated day of arrival . Then on that day there thread that's updated by everyone who's out shooting so you know for sure if its worth heading out. It's a great community . I love it. Cheers! Have a blast!
Well done
Thanx!
Thanks for sharing your camera settings - a big help to me as I try to improve my photography skills!
Thanks for watching Wayne! 🤘🏻❤️
Can you tell me with which wide angle lens you take the pictures? Thank you
Sure, for this shot I was using a sigma 17-70mm. Thanks for watching !🤘🏻❤️
@@photohuch Thanks you very much
wonderful pictures and great video. I'll be visiting Banff in late September. are you aware if there is anywhere we could find out the train schedule? Or just sit and wait? greetings from Brazil
Unfortunately no, I haven’t found anything schedule related anywhere. You just have to wait it out. I’ve been there 5 mins and boom! A train comes…. Other times ugh…. That wait can be excruciating, but it’s worth the wait. When an East bound train from BC comes through that S curve. Thanks for watching ! If have any other questions about Banff area photo spot feel free to ask me.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video! I would like to know which camera did you use. I like blurry background but it comes to subject I would like to blur some parts of the subject but not 100%, with my Canon R6 and Sigma 60-600mm I can do that. Thank you !
Awesome video! Phenomenal shots! Are these photos you posted cropped or are they the actual size?
I cant believe I haven't been here yet! 😅😍

Yeah, bug spray. Nobody tells you that trick! Bravo for a dose of reality.

What a tasty tasty video 😅
Thanks for checking in out 🤘🏻
Nice shots.. Gotta love the small daytime rodeos. Takes us back to our Roots!
Yes it does!
Sorry by very dumb question, but what kind of lens to use to shoot at very close distance abaout 5-10 feet from me?
That’s kind of hard to answer. It really depends on what the subject is but I would say the smallest would be 70-200. An amazing lens is 100-400 for sports . If your subject is a car though, you might be able to use a 24-70 but I’d guess 70-200 might be the lens I’d start with.

Thank you for this video! We have been meaning to go out there but my youngest was too young...maybe this year?? We did go to a wolf sanctuary near Golden once and it was amazing!

LOL It's a challenging photo place for sure! I bet your shots are awesome though.
While you were showing us the Daves you know you missed an opportunity to "crush their heads" ... 🤣
Son of a…..! Doh
@@photohuch You should have been there Thursday. John Rhys Davies did an improvised monologue as Gimli while holding up an axe. If you ever get a chance to meet him he is one of the best celebrities to meet. Second time meeting him and I’d do it again. Not to diminish tons of other celebrities as there are a bunch of other really awesome celebrities I’ve met. But I have to say that short performance is a step above.
Looks like a lot of fun.
Always a blast. The Calgary Expo and the Edmonton Expo are a lot of fun. Go and get one or two photo ops and then get one or two autographs… spread that over the span of the event and then hit up some panels to listen to celebrities talk or go to one of the interactive panels. Sprinkle in between the photo ops, autographs and panel with some window shopping, actual shopping and scoping out the cosplayers… yeah. Tons of fun.
What lens were you using?
Thanks for watching! I was using a 70-200mm
@@photohuch Thanks. I just traded in my D850 and F lenses for the Z9. Going to get the 70-200 hopefully today.
