Threaded rivits are so satisfying to install. I'm looking for reason to use more lol
Hi Sydney! Your grandmother, Dawn, is my first cousin, and she and James told me about your channel! I have watched all you have posted now, and you are doing a great job of building and editing. It's been a while since your latest video, have you got some more in the can? Did you finish your build? 😎
I have a max air fan I got for my van, you just gave me the confidence to try and do it myself. Thank you! Good job btw..
Great job
Nice
Dang, I was just about to build my bed by bolting lengthwise 2x4 boards to the wall using Rivnuts, and now you have me rethinking everything! I really love this idea, and those supports are so cheap. I really appreciate the fact you include your oops moments. Too many people like to show only their successes, but there is often more to be learned form oops moments that success moments. So two questions: 1) How do you like it one year later? Anything you wish you had done differently? and 2) What did you tell the ikea people to get those brackets? Did you get a part number by any chance?
I really enjoyed this video. Nice job.
This is so good
Hiouok
Your adorable. Best wishes!
Yay! I will be doing that with my bed in my promaster as well. Cheers to learning new skills.
How did you connect the slates, I'm doing the same setup and trying a bunch of solution
For now, I used heavy duty ALFA-LOK fasteners by Velcro. I ordered some from Amazon. It’s pretty strong, but still easy to remove when I want to work on the van!
HI.....are you taking suggestions? I would recommend getting a cordless impact wrench that is same brand and battery size as you drill ()DeWalt. BTW you can take off and install wheel lug nuts with the power so watch out for over torquing. Run the bold down snug and us a hand wrench to tighten.
great idea of using the ikea slats, less weight, good air flow. I have sourced plastic 'slat end' off ebay. our ikea also sells a slat base with slat end fitted.
Bravo
Wow. So damn beautiful to me. I’m building a bus house. We should swap # maybe a date I’m Matt from south tx
Where did you get the van?was it a cash purchase or was it financed? I'm trying to get a van but I don't want to have montly payments and they are EXTREMELY hard to find at least in my case
Hi! I actually got mine from a used dealership in Texas. I did finance it. But I sold my car and I don’t have an apartment so this is my “rent”. I looked for months before I finally found one that I was happy with so I totally get it! I decided to go through a dealership just so I would have peace of mind that it had been recently serviced/maintained at the time of purchase and in good shape.
Nicely done--learning as you go--keep it up!!!
Thank you!
What is the metal bracket number and slat number to? Thank you.
Hi! You can find the brackets by searching the spare parts page on ikea! Here are all the part numbers 😊 Wooden Slats: 502.787.26 Metal Brackets: 116791 (spare parts number) Telescopic Beams: 901.245.34
Can't wait to see the results (I mean the whole final results). Nice.
Where did you buy the wooden slats?
The wooden slats are from IKEA as well!
Thanks for the ikea bracket tip, I was about to buy off Amazon!
Of course! Part number is 116791 if you can’t find it by searching.
So fun to watch it coming along!
