Can you get a WORKOUT on an E-BIKE?? EMTB vs MTB Fitness challenge
A lot of people think an Ebike workout is an impossible task. Today we're going to dispel that myth, and hopefully in the process convince you that Electric mountain bikes (EMTB) are not only a great way to have fun, but to also a way to get a great workout.
We'll be putting our EMTB (Specialized Turbo Levo) to the test vs a regular MTB (Specialized Stumpjumper) to compare heartrate, speed, timing, and est. calories burned.
Whether you're into biking for fun or fitness, Ebikes can help you accomplish your goals while putting a big smile on your face. For us, EMTBs have allowed us to have the most fun we've ever had biking, and allowed us to get into better biking shape since we ride them more consistently due to them making every ride so enjoyable.

PRIVATE MTB trails in Colorado are AMAZING!
Переглядів 2,4 тис.4 роки тому
We went for an ride on a private MTB trail system in Colorado, and it was awesome! Our friend lives in a community that has access to over 40 miles of private trails. Not only was this ride super fun, but we basically had the trails to ourselves which is unheard of on Colorado trails. Hope you enjoy this ride along on some trails that not many people get to experience! *Jump to the good stuff *...

CHEAP EMTB - Trash or Treasure.. Can you actually mountain bike on a budget E-Bike?
Переглядів 82 тис.4 роки тому
Is a cheap Electric Mountain Bike worth it or not? I'll discuss the pros and cons of a budget EMTB to help you make that decision for yourself. A Cheap EMTB like the NCM Moscow Plus come at some expense other than the cost, and those may be enough to warrant spending a bit more on a better E-bike. Whether you are wanting to cruise the urban streets or shred the downhills I'll let you know if a ...
Denver's Downhill Mountain Bike Trail is PERFECT for EMTBs | Floyd Hill
Переглядів 7 тис.4 роки тому
Today we take an EMTB ride at Floyd Hill, one of Denver's few bike-only directional downhills. The mountain bike trail is located near Evergreen Colorado. Being that we are mostly beginner mountain bikers it had some spots that definitely pushed our skills to the limit. What's cool about this mtb trail is that it allows for many different lines of many different skill levels. As we progress we ...
WHY RIDE E-BIKES? Is An EMTB Better Than A Regular Mountain Bike?
Переглядів 15 тис.4 роки тому
E-Bikes aren't for everything, or maybe everyone, but we break down why EMTBs might be right for you. Traditionally, mountain bikes have been an awesome way to get fitness, but depending on how hard the trail is, mountain biking definitely requires some serious work and time commitment. E-Bikes, and specifically E-Mountain Bikes (EMTBs) open up a door into truly unlocking all of the fun potenti...

I’ve had a NCM Moscow Plus for 2 years and have done over 2,000km and I agree with the review, it has some shortcomings in some aspects but for my usage (mainly fire trails etc) it’s excellent and hasn’t let me down.

have both moscows, okay for modest trails, definitely not a downhill shredder, but a better starter bike than an expensive one. You should have experience b4 buying something very costly to replace.

I love my cheap emountain bike. I've lost 10kgs since buying it because I'm doing exercise and having fun. I'm old so I'll never do those hard trails, a fall would kill me, but I do a lot of easy off road trails and my piece of junk cheap ebike works great. I do the shopping with it too....what guy thinks shopping is fun? Me now. Two years in so far, when the motor clags, I'll get a sweet mid drive touring ebike.

I switched to emtbs from my analog bikes and I'll never turn back.. I'll be getting a superlight embt like the rise or kenevo/levo sl or trek rail ex-e to go with my levo. I also keep at least 140 bpm + for 1-2 hours 4-5 days a week. My riding has gotten way better just because you're riding more, not only more days but more of the trail more often. The upside and downside of that is crashing obv. as any mtbers knows, a crash is bound to happen at some point. The more you ride, the higher the probability. You're getting better on the bike (even if you have been riding 20 years +) so stupid crashes don't happen as often but as progression goes.. you start doing harder features more often.. you might do the same drop 10 times more in a week than you would have normally. That means you can go down 9 times more, or not at all.. but it's still a possibility. That's not to say you will, just know that you more you ride a trail.. the more the possibility is there. I'll still take progression any day of the week or I wouldn't be riding. Just know that if you're getting one and have to be careful for work etc etc etc. Sometimes you'll get in over your head much quicker because you progress a an exponential rate.

Thanks for the new channel. I love it. I am a big mountain biker. I have just installed a RTT on a low profile Cali Raised bed rack.... and would love to see how I can mount my bike on with the RTT mounted and bed rack without a diamond back. I was thinking trailer hitch bike rack mount, but it would look way cooler if I could mount to the side of truck instead! Can't wait for this to come out! Happy trails should be your new sign off!

Hi your video is the reason i bought the newer Moscow M3 and its an awesome e-Mountain bike ( not that many out there with my budget) doing all the GOOD stuff you have shown. The video pointed out enough of the good about the bike than you've given it credit for and that's what I was hoping to see even though we all know the NCM is no Levo or your YT. But the many trails beside the Black Diamond level like the Landmine Loop or the Mustang loop ( a must ride trail) we have here in Red Rock canyon Las Vegas valley, it handled like a dream as long as i take it slow. So thanks for sharing!

Not sure what bike the guy was riding but damn, that stem is WAAAAAY to long for riding descends. Keep it short man, 40 to 50 mm is ideal. Long stems tend to shift riders' body weight a little forward and that is not good for obvious reasons. OTB and unbalanced landings are extremely likely!

Seems like you could mount a rail possibility a square tube on the t-track that would stick out on one or both ends past the tent and mount a bike rack to that.

Great review, thanks for taking the time to make it. It helps me understand the difference between a budget and premium bike. The all encompassing question, how far can I push a budget bike before I need to upgrade? How soon will I outgrow a budget bike? Do I really need to split with a lot of cash for a high end bike? I've spent over 20 hours researching all sorts of ebikes for my use case i.e. 80% bike path, 15% forest trails, 5% single trail - no black trails because of my knees. I'm so glad you didnt review the technical specs as they can be easily found. Your real world experience and thoughts are far more valuable. Awesum!

I really liked the review of the trail. I've been wanting to hit that trail when i'm out that way but looking at the map sometimes isn't enough to make sense of it, so it's nice to see good edits and explanations of how it lays out. You guys should look into Guerilla Gravity bikes. They're not e-bikes but full carbon frames made in Denver. Killer bikes and and even more rad company. Keep the videos coming!

You nailed it, couldn’t have said it better. Just wanna add one more thing is that it’s actually going to make you more excited to get back out there to ride and by the time you know you’ll start getting more fit to maybe slowly dive back into a regular bike maybe on some rides if it’s with a group of regular bikes.

This video is the proof that e-bikes allow you do do more, while working less: ua-cam.com/video/2NkMrgoCIiE/v-deo.html All scientific studies of advanced athletes have shown that because of their training, they can put out far higher sustained energy output and generally be less winded when compared to amateur athletes. In the video I link, you see that a regular amateur rider was able to beat a professional MTBer in a race because the amateur was riding an e-bike. This shows that in the same amount of time, there is no way you will use the same amount of energy when riding an ebike vs a human powered bike. All MTBers will tell you the most difficult part of mountain biking are difficult technical climbs. You can ride a 20 foot technical rocky or rooted climb section and be far more tired from that 20ft than you would from a 1/2mile easy fire road climb. When riding an e-bike however, those technical climbs are more than 10x easier. Comparing e-bike riding to MTB riding is like comparing e-bike riding to motorcycle riding. Are there similarities? Yes. Can you get a good workout from off road Motorcycling? Yes. But they are just different enough that the workouts are different, riding styles different and in essence, just not the same. I would rather have a standard MTB bike AND an electric motorcycle. When I want to go fast, I would get on the electric motorcycle. When I want just me against the trail, then I get on the MTB. e-MTB's are like a halfway house between the two, and maybe, that's why some people like them. They see it as the best of both worlds. I can see that, but still, It's not true mountain biking, just like e-MTBing is not true motor cycling.

NCM Moscow Dorado Battery failure with less than 20 charge cycles My NCM Moscow battery failed on the road, easy riding surfaces, not like some of the trails in this video, In just past 13 months of ownership (but less than 6 months of recreational, no winter usage, and less than 20 charge cycles on the battery) my battery failed… I explained to the seller, Leon Cycle, but they were firm on 12-month warranty. The battery goes on and off when shaken…anyone know a fix for this? thx...I agree, save your money, components and service are also important...and get a 2 year min warranty on battery. or you may end up with a huge bill just after 13 months.

imagine being such an idiot you take a machine and use it for something thats not even its intended purpose.. This bike is an amazing city cruising bike and can definitely go off roading on mild trails easily with lots of power and thick threads. But if you're going to try and take it on hardcore diamond trails and beat the shit out of it and then complain that its not a good bike then you're a simpleton not worthy of discussing or reviewing bikes in the first place.. The bikes needed for those hardcore blue diamond trails require very specific parts and designs and typically cost you many thousands of dollars.. This NCM moscow costs a mere 1500$..and if used for its intended purpose can last you many years with no problems or repairs.. I know from personal experience! But conversely the bikes you need for those hardcore trails can easily cost you 7000$!
