Hey, thank you for your videos. What are the extra parts that someone needs for these types of installations? I mean beyond the pvc panel? Corners, channels? are there different parts like the drywalls installations ?
Hi. You can use trims such as scotia or coving, although please note that this may make the installation slightly more challenging. The installation process itself remains the same as for drywall.
wont beat tiles, everything held together with silicone is not ideal, wont last longer than 10 years, have to rip it all out
how about two exterior flutted WPC panels that meet at angled corner?
We don't sell exterior fluted panels, but we recommend checking with the supplier for available options for external corner trims.
I like how your cutting with a mitre block on top of a cabinet which is moving all around thus scratching it😂 savages, you wouldn’t step through my front door
Hi, we film tutorial videos in a studio to demonstrate how customers can fit their panels at home. We do not offer a fitting service.
How easy is it to cut round shower fittings.....sinks etc
Good Morning, Very easy. A wall panel cuts like 6mm plywood (very little resistance) and a shower panel is similar. For a wall panel I use either a Stanley Knife or a fine toothed handsaw, for a shower panel I use a fine toothed handsaw. For pipes, you can drill through with no problem at all.
where's the plumbing, fitting straight panels with no plumbing should be simple, how about replacing an existing panel with plumbing still there, would be a useful video to show
Thank you for the feedback, really appreciate it and we will relay your comments to the content team.
Where did you buy the ceiling boards?
Good Morning, We supply a wide of ceiling panels. You can find them here - www.panelcompany.co.uk/collections/ceiling-panels A ceiling panel installation gives you a fast, perfect ceiling that never needs painting or any maintenance whatsoever.
Is there any recommended method to redoing/resealing this if the strip or panel/clading has been damaged at the bottom? I dont know if the type that i have has been fixed to the wall but i dont want to replace all the panels
Good Morning, The key is whether the cladseal trim is secured to the shower tray with a good bed of silicone sealant. If it is you could apply a bead of clear silicone at the base of the panel where it meets the shelf of the cladseal. However, I would recommend removing the panels and fitting the base trim correctly following the manufacturer's guidelines.
Do I seal around the tray and wall prior to installation this clad strip?
Good Morning, Yes you do. Probably the best guide for fitting a Cladseal trim can be found here - claddingplus.co.uk/cladseal-shower-trim/ Hope this helps
was looking forword to the finishined bathroom ,which unfortunately wasn't shown
Our guides are filmed in a studio to help people with the installation process, which is why we can't feature final bathroom reveals. To see our panels in bathrooms, please visit our website or check out our social media platforms! www.panelcompany.co.uk/
I’m about to order panels and trim but I have questions! Do you need the end caps if the seal is going up against a screen? How long is each seal strip? What if they need to be joined together for a longer shower tray? How are they sealed at the corners? Thanks!
Hi Jessica, if finishing up to a shower screen with a cladseal, you do not need to use the end caps. Each Cladseal is 1.8M (1800mm) long and is generally long enough for shower trays up to 1800mm in length. You cant join the cladseals as this would create a gap for water ingress. To seal in the corners you fill the cladseal with silicone as per the fitting guide and then once the panels are installed use a bead of silicone to seal the panel and the corner of the cladsea.
Just received my order, very prompt, thanks. I’ve got a question. From the shower tray the rear wall is vertical, approximately 5 feet up then it slopes forward slightly, the 10mm panel won’t flex. So is it just a case of cutting precisely & silicone or is there some flex in fitting a H joint, what would you recommend? Many thanks Phil
Hi Phil, thank you for the kind words! We would recommend a H-trim/trying to level the wall out to achieve a flat finish.
Where’s the follow video on how to fit them? 😂 it’s been a fair while
Hi! While we don't have a longer 'how-to' video for installing slat panels yet, you may find this video helpful - ua-cam.com/video/gBkMRBYjQwY/v-deo.html
How can i got this?
Hi, you can place your order here: www.panelcompany.co.uk/collections/dumawall-plus-tile
Hi can you use these when the tray has been tanked with membrane tape like i mean will it seal against membrane tape
Hi Michael, yes it will seal to membrane tape
Bought some but going to bin it as you give no explanation about where this goes in conjunction to a shower cubicle being fitted to the tray
Hi Michael, could you kindly confirm which product you're referring to so we can help?
@ThePanelCompany 18mm cladseal i am fitting a 900mm square shower cubicle does the cladseal butt upto the inside of the frame will water not get out of there
@@ThePanelCompany so i reply and no answer typical
@@michaelmcdougall943 apologies for the delay, we were in the process of confirming some technical details with our Product Manager. When using the 18mm cladseal, which is for our 10mm shower panels, cut the cladseal on a 45 degree mitre into each corner. Then cut the cladseal to length. The cladseal should finish up to the inside of the shower screen profile. The cladseal should be completely filled with silicone on the underside and a bead of silicone should be applied behind the shower profile as well.
@@ThePanelCompany Ok thanks just another question the shower tray has tanking tape around the wall and tray as another water leak prevention will the cladseal strip be ok to stick over the tanking tape
Y el muro de la bañera?
My floor to ceiling is 246cm and the panels are 240cm, not much can be done about this i take it?
Longer panels are available.
Can this be installed on a wall / ceiling where there is little Leakage ? also , if there is more leakage in future, can they be uninstalled and reinstalled later ?
Hi, we would not recommend fitting a panel to a wall where there is a leak.
Great vid, do I need to leave an expansion gap all the way round where the panels meet the wall? If so can I then silicon to cover the gap?
Hi, It is good practice to leave a small gap even though there is little to no expansion in PVC wall panels. Yes, you can cover this gap with silicone and the gap helps the bead of silicone adhere.
Would the cladseal interfere with the shower doors? Would i need to cut out some of the cladseal trim to fit the shower doors (within the shower tray) our boards will be going beyond the shower tray too..
The cladseal should finish at the internal of the shower door. The panel should run behind the shower profile. The easiest way to do this is to offer the shower profile up and mark it on the tray and then cut the clad seals to that mark.
@@ThePanelCompanyMight be an idea to show it…..and how you incorporate the internal corner trim on top of the mitred clad seal. It looks like you have just laid the trim on top, other examples cut away the cladseal ?
Thanks
Adhesive is such a short sighted idea. What about when it comes time to redecorate and you want to remove/replace the panels. Ceiling ruined. Surely an edging strip which you fix to the walls and then slot the panels into would be better?
Hi Mike, Solvent-free pink grip causes minimal damage to existing plaster, as long as the plaster has not deteriorated due to age.
Thankyou
How do you cut outlet spaces for electrical?
Measure Outlet Position - Measure the distance from the outlet to the edge of the slat panel. Transfer Measurements - Mark the corresponding measurements on the back (reverse side) of the slat panel. Remove Felt - Use a Stanley knife to carefully remove felt Cut the Slats - Use a fine-toothed blade (jigsaw or multi-tool) to cut the slats along the marked lines and use masking tape to mark the back of the panel to make it easier to see
Great video guide, will the "How to install spot lighting " video be available soon by chance?
Hi, thank you for suggesting a video on how to install our Strivo Lume lights! We’ll make sure to share it with our marketing team.
Excellent thank you!!
What about wall outlets
Measure the location of the socket carefully and transfer to the rear of the panel (please measure twice), cut out the felt with a Stanley knife and cut out the slats with a jigsaw, multitool or handsaw
I don't think this is a good video at all. Following these instructions can lead to water ingress. You need silicon between the tray and the wall where the gap is, also definitely on the wall behind the cladseal strip where the holes are, also where the mitre join is and on the bottom where the panels sit. Also, some trays don't have a ledge that you can push the cladseal onto. No mention or demo of Step 3 in the instructions stuck into each strip - the need to notch out the mitre joint and fill with silicon.
Thank you very much for the feedback. This guide is intended as a general overview for fitting a clad seal and we will add a more complete guide in the near future.
At 1:40 you didn't push down the cladseal strip to compress the sealant, so you had a void at one end of the strip that you then smeared over with sealant. Not very good!
Is it possible and safe too put the panels directly on the wood? In case for a bathroom
Hi Laura, our panels can be installed over most existing surfaces. What surface does your bathroom have?
Great instructional video👍👍 One question, what's the best type and size screw to use?
Thank you for the feedback! We recommend using a 20mm - 25mm screw
That pattern repeat is too obvious. Surely you need to offset the panel to avoid those obvious repeats.
noticed this installed on osb board, does osb need need any preparation and do you guarantee the adhesive
What does trim stand for?
Hi David, trims are a category of products used for visual and functional purposes, such as sealing edges
Look good
What about waterproofing the wall before add the panels? I’m confused because that adhesive that was applied doesn’t seem enough to keep water from seeping in.
Hi Susan, the panels fit together with a tongue and groove system. They are waterproof so water will not seep through.
Awkward shaped room - Is there any reason why the panels cant be fitted horizontally
How heavy are panels?
Hi, the panels are 12kg each
do these loose their colour if direct sunlight is on them for a while ? i left some old bits outside and they went a funny brown colour from white
Nice🎉
Can the 5mm pvc panels you sell be fit over existing 5mm pvc panels
On the ceiling this is
@@Kyzar90 Yes, you can install panels over existing panels!
Shower panels were not joined together properly. Very thin gap in middle of two. Is there anything I can do to stop it from lecking?Other than taking down the panels down and starting again.? Help!
I have been looking for a video that shows how to install your coving before I begin to do the ceiling panels.
Good Morning, Thank you for the question. We are currently building our library of videos and we will add your request. After fitting coving for many years, I now fit the wall panels and ceiling panels first and fit the coving last. You can do this by removing the rear tab on the coving, it makes it a lot easier to fit the tabless coving with a bead of silicone sealant. To remove the rear tab, run a Stanley knife down the rear channel and it comes away easily. Regards Panel Company Support
@@ThePanelCompany In the end after considering that option I opted to return the coving which you kindly swapped for quadrants. Great service will use you again.

A very professional video - a template for how instructional videos should be made. This young man is an excellent educator - top marks!
I Installed these with Tec 7 adhesive no ugly screws over a year ago
Will it stand up to showering long term though?
Can you put the panels above a row of tiles and what would be best to make a waterproof seal between the both of them thanks
